The Maui Spa & Wellness Center

I am so impressed with the level of service and the overall experience here. The location is a little off the beaten path but this is really a hidden gem. It easily rivals many of the higher end hotel spas in the area and has a beautiful hana. I had multiple services and the staff was attentive, and wonderful. It is quiet, serene and a great place to relax!

Had an absolutely fantastic time. I did the Honolulu treatment with a massage. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Sabuna was my spa attendant and she was great. She ushered me through the foot soak, showers, steam room, cold plunge, and sauna. I had a massage with Adam. It was probably one of the best massages I’ve ever had in my life. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Florida!

Got the celebration package. Everything went well except for the mani/​pedi part. The long haired, skinny Ukrainian girl who did my nails just killed the whole experience. She didn’t introduce herself so I didn’t get her name. 1^st she skipped the mani part because I have gel on my fingernails. No fine print does it say that you can’t get a mani if you have gel on you. I don’t mind paying extra to take it off but she didn’t even offer that! All she said was «You have gel on your hands so I’ll just do your pedicure.» I was stunned coz it’s part of the package I paid for! I refused to argue if that’s a hidden policy. 2^nd was when I complimented the smell of the lotion during pedi she said «you can buy it!» Who answers like that? I didn’t even ask what was it nor if it’s for sale. I felt uneasy after that. 3^rd was when she found out I’m a registered nurse with gel mani she said in a rudely manner «You shouldn’t wear that gel mani to work.» I told her our hospital policy allows us to wear gel @ work as long as we keep it short, clean and not chipped or weird colors. Acrylics or fake nails are the ones that are not allowed. She just laughed at me as if I was joking. 4^th was when I was making a conversation and said «you guys don’t look too busy today.» She replied «good for you but bad for me. you can stay here if you want.» I hope she’s just having a bad day because she was really odd and unprofessional the whole time. She needs to be retrained w better customer service. I reported these to the receptionist and all she said was «sorry about her. we can give u a discount next time you come back!» Will I come back? PROBABLY NOT! The 1 hour appointment for mani & pedi only lasted ~20mins. Go figure.

Let me start by saying I’m very hard to please. I made this appointment on the same day and I must say it is the best nail services I have had in a very long time. I felt very relaxed upon entering and my tech was super efficient Natalia. She deserves a 5 star review. The seating is a bit odd but very plush and comfy. No cheap massage chairs. They use essential oils in their water and it is very enjoyable. The end result was perfect looking nails. I will post a picture.

Best facial ever! I have gone to The Maui Spa for quite a few years now and have always been pleased with my services. Natalia is by far the most wonderful facialist around! She is so gentle, yet knows how to release so much tension from the face area. Natalia truly knows what she is doing, you come out feeling refreshed with glowing beautiful skin! Highly recommend NATALIA you will not be disappointed… she is FANTASTIC!

My friend and I decided to do a «girls day at the spa» on Valentines morning. We heard wonderful things about Maui Spa & decided to spend a few hours there. Well, we found our new favorite place to relax and feel amazing at!!! The spa itself is beautiful and the staff is so professional and accommodating– ESPECIALLY DIDI, who made us feel welcome and like family! Thank you, Didi! Everything was perfect– from the foot soak to the saunas in the hana room to the massage to the mango mimosas on the rooftop. Ive never felt more relaxed and I will definitely be back again soon. And a big Thank You to Adam who did my massage. He was very professional and skilled in his line of work.

Very nice! People are very welcoming and place is absolutely beautiful. The food was magnificent, the Hana was very different — super relaxing! The message was okay, could’ve used a bit more pressure but overall it was absolutely an amazing experience. Can’t wait to go again.

Maui spa has always had a wonderful reputation in my book. They work very hard to keep their clients pleased, and it truly pays off! I have been coming here since I was a teenage, and am currently in my mid twenties. So tranquil and embodied in a serene setting, everything from the first floor to rooftop is beautiful. If you have insomnia or issues relaxing, such as I do… Try booking at Maui, and embrace the relaxing setting. Typically you go and undress, to get into the calming room filled with tiny lights, to resemble stars. Music is hypnotizing, and the scents are transcendent. Try doing a log and laid back massage, the plunge pool is not my favorite. It is basically just a bunch of water falling on you in different ways, but still try for experience. A spa is meant to be like this one, definitely a ‘Ritz Carleton’ of spa’s. It won’t disappoint, and I look forward to writing a review on the Valentines day special.

I had the most odd conversation with the manager of this SPA. I called to schedule massage for 2 people but she could only schedule us to a couple room though we are not a couple and we didnt want a couple massage. She made it very clear that private rooms are available but since its was Friday she was worried they will be busy to ‘spare’ private room for each of us. I did mention I’m a Groupon customer… that might have been the reason.
Very disappointed! !! I’m going alsewhere.

This place is amazing! Just went yesterday to check it out and was not disappointed! The Hannah experience was amazing and definitely needed on any trip there. They walk you through each service: 2 pressure showers, steam room, sauna, plunge tub. It was so nice and really got my body ready to be worked on. Then I had an awesome massage with Jolynn! I have found my new massuse! She was so good and had a very good sense of problem/​stress areas that I came out feeling so much better! The front desk girls were very sweet and accommodating. I am so excited to go back next month!

Maui Spa was truly the best experience I ever had at a spa. I recommend the hot lava pedicure to anyone who get pedis. It was relaxing and the technicians are very knowledgeable. It’s super clean and everyone is kind and friendly. If you want something totally different in a pedicure. GO to MAUI SPA.

Four years after Adam did my first Lomi Lomi massage, I returned today while visiting family and he was even better (if that is at all possible!). By far the most enjoyable and puddle melting massage — and there are some great therapists at home in Austin. I didn’t have the Hana experience this time but it was such a treat at last visit. Definitely worth trying.
Only down was the hot water in the shower going off due to the Hana’s going on. But understandable when you have a Hana. Can’t wait to return next visit to Florida.

I have purchased several gift certificates for friends and thought it would be nice to try it out for myself. First, let me say that the massage therapist, Pamela saved the day as far as a great experience. She was wonderful, knowledgeable and very personable. I highly recommend her!
My experience with the spa would have been 5 stars but, the front desk people, although pleasant were not as professional as they should have been for a spa of this caliber. I had to call 3 times to get the booked appointment corrected. The girls made errors in the times and types of services I booked and it frustrated me. The last email confirmation was never sent. I had a gift certificate to use plus I purchased another service for myself and they were confused as to figuring out the total after I stated the tip I wanted to leave. I’m still not sure if Pamela received a 25% tip as she was definitely worth it. When I looked at my bank account, the incorrect amount shows as deducted. I will have to straighten this out tomorrow with the manager.
Also, the locker room attendant said she was going to get me slippers and the locker didn’t work. I tried another, which didn’t work, either. After waiting 10 minutes for her return, I stepped out to look for her and found the slippers were outside the door. I thought she would have brought them inside or let me know. She did find me a locker, eventually. Also, the waiting room should have water, maybe a magazine or something as it’s very stark to sit in.
That being said, I felt very relaxed after the services. The rooms and beds were soothing and comfortable with hot towels, soft music and just the right amount of lighting. Anyone can have an off day so, I would like to be able to know I can purchase a gift certificate for friends at a spa they would enjoy and return to the spa myself, use it again to see if it was just a one-​time thing.
Then, maybe rate it again.

When I reviewed this spa two years ago, I gave them a five star rating. Sadly, two years later, I am updating this review as a 2.5 and being kind enough to round up to a solid three star rating.
I have been loyal to my waxing specialist, Maria, for two years. She is great. Unfortunately, the spa leaves a lot to be desired and I made the decision to move on.
First off, I will miss Maria very much. She is a very talented and experienced woman, who in my opinion could be working somewhere a bit more upscale. The few times I was not able to schedule with Maria for whatever reason, I left less than pleased. I can not recommend anyone except Maria for your waxing needs. I am super picky and have zero patience for poor customer service skills especially when paying Boca prices. If the quality was good, then perhaps I could deal with it. But enough is enough, my last few visits left me feeling stressed and miserable. Usually after a massage I am happy and relaxed, this past weekend I left tense and fed up. And my massage was comped. Are you wondering how I could walk out of a free massage miserable? Honestly, I am still trying to piece it all together.
I had a horrible eyebrow wax experience in early August. I was getting on a plane the next day to go to NY to celebrate my 50^th birthday. My appointment with Maria was cancelled thirty minutes prior to my appointment time. The receptionist was kind enough to «find someone» to do my waxing at the last minute. Lets just say that I was so freaked out by this experience, the spa manager, Chawnacee, had me hysterical in her office. I was crying that my eyebrows were destroyed, uneven and a big hot mess. I was also hysterical because of the waxing technicians bizarre attempt to do my waxing. I wont get into the granular details, but lets just say that her hands should not have been around my neck as she was pulling off the wax strip. I was very upset by this entire experience.
On a positive note, Chawnacee was very sweet and compassionate. But then again she was dealing with a hysterical menopausal woman. Regardless, she was nice and was upset that I was so upset. Maybe its because I told her that her waxing «fill in» ruined my 50^th birthday. I don’t know. As a result of my experience and mental breakdown, Chawnacee was kind enough to offer me either a facial or massage when I returned from my vacation. She also told me I did not have to pay for the eyebrow disaster. I went to NY with ugly eyebrows and I had no time to get them fixed before my flight the next day.
Three months later I decided to take Chawnacee up on her massage offer and booked an eyebrow wax with Maria and I booked my massage for the same day. My eyebrows look beautiful and as always, Maria did an excellent job. My massage was decent and the therapist was very sweet. I have had much better at other spas but all in all the massage was okay.
What I did not enjoy was sitting in my robe in the meditation room half naked with men also waiting for their own treatment. This made me feel very uncomfortable. I also didn’t like the fact that two older yappy ladies were having their feet soaked and talking up a storm in the mediation room. At other spas, the mediation room is quiet and tranquil. Not so much here.
The ladies locker room was a disaster. Locks didn’t work, you had to change in an open dressing area, the door was open etc. I decided to change in the ladies room. Did they really expect me to undress in an open area with the door wide open? With male clients around? Like Cheryl K commented on her robe having a hole, mine also had a hole and looked and felt like it was ready to be trashed. This is not what I expect from a high end Boca spa.
I paid my bill and within minutes I received an email saying if I write a review I would be entered in a contest to win a gift card. WTF??? Are they serious??? Definitely a poor management and or ownership decision. I posted a screen shot of the email so you can see this dribble for yourself. Unbelievably tacky.
So I wrote the review, do you think I will win this wonderful gift card? Or do you think the winner would be someone who wrote a positive review? Just thinking out loud here…
Even with a free gift card, there is no way I would ever return. This is Boca, tons of spas all over the place. Maybe I can even find one where they can give me a private changing area and a nice clean robe that isn’t full of holes.
Sorry Maui, you lost a loyal client.

Had a great afternoon at the Maui Spa while on vacation. My boyfriend and I booked the Couple’s Retreat package. It started off with a foot soak which I could have done without — there were no benefits of it. Next, we moved on to the Hana Experience which included: private copper soaking tubs, wet tables for exfoliating body treatments, Swiss and deluge showers, an aromatherapy steam room, a sauna and a cold plunge pool. Since we had arrived early and were ahead of schedule during the Hana, our spa attendant gave us more time in the Hana in the treatment of our choice! Afterwards, she escorted us up to the semi-​covered rooftop where we enjoyed mimosas in our bathrobes (we had the option to add lunch at this point but we chose not to). After relaxing for a while, we went back downstairs for our couples massage. My masseuse was friendly and gave a good full-​body massage (we opted for the 50min massage but they also offer an 80minute session).
Showers, locker rooms, massage rooms, Hana rooms/​showers, were all clean, neat and organized. Everything had a Hawaiian theme to it, which could get a little corny but it didn’t bother me. Overall, a great experience! I will definitely return next time I’m in Boca.

I made a reservation for 10 people 2 months in advance but unfortunately this was not enough notice for the spa to plan ahead. They rushed many girls in my party through shortened massages and even skipped PAID FOR TREATMENTS because they overbooked themselves and were running behind. The staff was also very rude and many staff members gave us conflicting instructions. We were yelled at for THEM being behind. My massage was great but I would never recommend this place to anyone else. Also, the «foot soak» was soapy, room temperate water in a tool box in an awkward room full of strangers that grew cold very quickly.

I came here a few months ago. The only reason why I am giving a generous 2’s is because the blonde who did my pedicure was amazing. The place I had to sit durring my pedicure was not so amazing. It was actually quite uncomfortable. As if you’re sitting on patio furniture cushions. For the amount I paid for this pedicure, I should have had a light up massage chair with all the bells and whistles. Nope. It almost seems like a scam to get you to buy a massage. I sure needed one after the 50^th time I had to adjust myself.

Heavenly… The hydrotherapy room blew me away. 5 stages through 45 minutes of different water sources, reaching a feeling of weightlessness, before your half way through.
I followed that, with a 60 minute sports massage. Excellent deep tissue work.
Followed by a relaxing cleansing facial and mani/​peti
This is my new favorite spot!

For a Day spa, it was well worth the time and price. We did the couples package with included the foot soak, the Hana experience which if you never did IA highly recommended. They start with the good olé standing shower with the rain effect and then turn on the all round jets. After, you step into the shower that fives you the effect of a waterfall. This felt amazing as the pressure was hitting my knots on my back and shoulders. The attended then escorted us to the steam room and gave us refreshing towels. once you’re out, you take the cold plunge which is not bad as you think. The final part is the sauna which as well all know, it is what it is (detoxifying).
Once we took a quick rinse, our massage therapists were waiting to give us what I could call AN AMAZING experience. the pressure was as hard as my boyfriend liked and medium as I preferred. Once the 80 mins was done, feeling like a bowl of jello, another attendant, Julie, was waiting to take us to the top floor to serve us Mimosas. We were lucky today had no one on the roof top so it was all to ourselves.
Highly recommended Days spa. Great staff, very clean and very affordable. we will be visiting this establishment very very soon.
PS: Great location for a girls day or bridal shower!

I was lucky enough to win a spa package which included the Hana Experience, massage and lunch for two. I decided to bring my husband with me because he had never had a massage before (!)
We arrived and were each provided a locker (in lovely, single-​sex changing areas) and robes. Once we were ready we were guided through the Hana experience, essentially a half hour water circuit including massaging showers, steam room, cold plunge and sauna. At larger spas, clients can usually make these water circuits at their leisure, but we were guided through the circuit most likely because there is limited space available. I really enjoyed the Hana and would definitely add it to services in the future!
After the Hana, Hope and Lisa gave us our Maui massages, which were attentive and very relaxing! Afterwards, we were treated to lunch and a mimosa on the roof of the spa. The menu consists of mostly Greek food items as well as some light salads.
For a smaller, local spa, everything was beautiful, clean and highly professional. I really liked that this facility has co-​ed areas, so I could spend time with my husband during our spa morning. I highly recommend Maui Spa and cannot wait to return and try some different treatments!

Spent about 3 hours here in Sunday. It was a pleasant, relaxing experience.
Opted for a package called Pure Bliss which is a foot soak, the Hana experience, the Maui massage and an organic facial for $ 235.
The spa itself is a dimly lit relaxing environment. Nice and quiet. They offer hot or iced tea or iced water — all with pineapple in it.
A few negatives about the experience:
— the foot soak was in the waiting area where other people were sitting and waiting and talking. There wasn’t much relaxing or special about it. Not even someone to dry your feet or lotion them etc. it was just soaking your feet in a plastic tub with warm water and I’m sure some type of bath salts
— I didn’t like waiting in the waiting area naked in my robe with men naked in their robes — just felt odd
— the Hana experience was just a shower without a shower head — was supposed to be like a «waterfall» but it wasn’t. I did enjoy the steam room and sauna in this area and would’ve preferred to have just spent my time here to relax.
— my robe had a hole in it.
Positives:
— the massage was wonderful. 50 minutes long of complete relaxation.
— the facial was nice, you also get your feet massaged and wrapped during the facial. I didn’t like the «up-​selling» during the facial. They showed me an electronic face lift machine that I could zap my face with daily to make my muscles on my face contract to give myself a facelift without surgery. Yeah like I believe that or even have the time to do this daily. I’ll pass.
All in all it was a very nice day but I didn’t feel it was as luxurious as the price tag was. Basically $ 275 for a massage and facial.
