Bodega Bay Massage

On may 26^th I had called and scheduled a massage for my wife, Gay had an opening which was perfect. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her deep tissue massage and the knowledge Gay provided. An utmost gifted professional, that we recommend and will be going back to see when we return to the bay in the fall… Thank You Gay, my wife didn’t stop talking about her massage the whole rest of the day! ;)

If you are in Bodega Bay for a getaway, don’t waste time at a resort spa, come here instead. I had a wonderful massage this morning and can’t wait to come back and get another massage in the near future.

We recently slipped away for a 3 day getaway to one of our favorite spots on the California coast, Timber Cove. Having stayed at several places up and down the coast from Bodega Bay to Gualala and used the «on call» message therapists the resorts recommend, I’ve never been impressed. They’re generally just OK and way overpriced. This time I changed the game and as a result I’m a hero (to my wife). We drove 40 minutes to Bodega Bay to get messages from Gay and all I can say is WOW! This woman has been practicing body work using multiple disciplines for decades and it’s self evident from the first five minutes she lays her hands on you. She has instantly become our favorite body healer and my wife is making me promise to take her back at least once a month. For more on Gays qualifications, read Eli P’s review. And if you’re ever within an hours drive of Gay, do yourself a huge favor and book a session. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stayed in Bodega Bay this past week for our ten year anniversary and I found Gay through her one single Unilocal review. After getting our back to back 90 minute massages and comparing notes with my wife — I felt compelled to give Gay another review so that others who are contemplating utilizing Gay, will do so.
Gay has been doing massage for over 30 years and is a holistic powerhouse of knowledge. She openly shared that she has a passion for posture. She shared with both my wife and I many of the sources of our posture related to different areas of tension on our body. It was a big reminder to the both of us that our posture and our jobs are at the root of so many problems.
Gay easily pinpointed sore spots and worked them out. She didn’t just have a passive go-​through-​the-​motions massage, it was definitely focused and she concentrated on spots that needed it.
The only thing I did not like was that her table was a bit old, and tended to «creak» rather easily. It was a little distracting. But it was not enough to knock a point off my 5 star review because her price point was THAT MUCH BETTER than anyone else around.
We will absolutely book again with Gay the next time we are up in the Bodega Bay area.
