Delicious. I’ve been living in Bohemia for eight years and I’m kicking myself that I only tried this place last week. We grabbed a three for hero for a party. Bread was soft, cold cuts were much fresher than any other place I’ve tried. Highly impressed. Hats off. I’ll be back.

Have been coming here for years. The hero’s are always amazing, as are the prices. Visited today and got a BLT hero. The amount of bacon they put in the one hero, is probably the amount that Subway uses for 10 of their pathetic hero’s. This is a hero shop… with real meat, real bread — always fresh, real salads and most of all, a real hero sandwich!

They take orders over the phone which is the best way to get a sandwich. Service is always good, usually one of the owners will take of you or a young girl who is very sweet. BEST BLT ON LONG ISLAND. Its not your 3 strips for a hero, there is a ton of bacon on this beast. Well worth it, prices are on par with everyone else in the area.

This place is great. The owners are very hands on, staff is attentive and the food is really good. Get the BLT and you’ll eat for lunch and dinner… huge. Love the Boss sandwich. I come here for breakfast all the time and I have to wait a whole 3 mins and its ready… really good too (turkey with egg whites and swiss). If you’re hungry and want good, quick food, you gotta try Hero Express.

I went in because I noticed a sign that says boars head asked for an Italian hero specifically made with boars head cold cuts got home looked and it was not boars head how do I know after 35 years in the meat business you can tell right away if its boars head or not if you want to pay the same for a sandwich made with sub par ingredients this is your place next time I will opt for a deli and get what I want

So I’ve read the other reviews and some people are either cheap or way to picky lol I mean you pay for what you get ! I highly recommend this place if your looking for a true sub aka hero! Love coming here to stock up on my protein ! Amazing Heroes! Highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed my first time brought my son and he agreed the hero was delicious. We ordered the «executive «(sliced turkey, bacon covered with melted Swiss) also added ranch dressing and it went perfect. Thanks to the great reviews we came out of hibernation from the frigid weather to try this place. Very satisfied

You cannot beat the prices at Hero Express. But that’s not even the best part! The heros are out of this world. My personal favorites are the breakfast heros. But anything you get here you can expect to be superb. Definitely a stop you should make in your travels!

With a name like Hero Express, there isn’t a whole lot left to the imagination as to what they are in business for…
Serving breakfast, lunch and i believe dinner — they make everything to order and there is quite a large selection of items to choose from. You place your order, find a drink, if you so desire and wait for them to call you — all in all a quick and easy process.
I thought it was a little pricey but to be honest, it is getting harder and harder to find any place that serves a cheap lunch — so I’ll continue to keep an eye on that.

Great place to stop and fill up or take out before or after Islip Airport,. everything made fresh to order,… on REAL bread. I am a huge fan of bakery fresh real rolls, subs, and bread! No frills sub place.

Went back for Breakfast. They do a «Hungry man,» the next one up is a «Lumberjack,» Then they top out with a «Mother Load.» Motherload is essentially a true Hungryman. 3 Eggs, Sausage, Bacon, Cheese, Potatoes. The bacon is their key to success as it’s cooked to crispy perfection.
