History

Established in 2008.

Directors Joe Monahan and Alex Aristides founded Maxum Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2008 under the Team Serra flag. Both possessing BJJ black belts under Matt and Nick Serra they have established a facility known for its tough training and home away from home feel. You will start training from day one learning right next to the seasoned competitors. Everything taught is designed for real world application in BJJ, MMA, and selfdefense.

Business Owner

Alex Aristides, Maxum Brazilian Jiu Jitsu head instructor and founder. Alex is a BJJ black belt currently under Matt and Nick Serra (Team Serra). Alex started out learning martial arts as a teenager. Studying multiple styles over the years such as Japanese Jiu Jitsu, judo and kickboxing. Then began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He has won and placed in a number of grappling tournaments and other matches over the years such as Mundial”s, Grapplersquest and more. He has competed around the United States and in Brazil. Also assists the United States Army in BJJ training. Alex still currently trains at the Serra academy.
