Alterations By Auntie Sandy

What a fantastic lady! I called several different alterations shops when my daughter’s Prom dress arrived 5 days before the dance too long and with a train. Only Alterations by Auntie Sandy said «yes» to a last minute alteration. In fact, she told me she «never says no» to Prom girls… and had been working crazy long days (and nights) the last few weeks on Prom dresses.
The dress turned out PERFECT and the alterations were so inexpensive! She could have raised her prices to take advantage of my last minute desperation; but she is just a hardworking, honest business owner and I will recommend her services to all of my friends and family. Hopefully, next time I can be more proactive and not show up at her doorstep last minute! Thank you Auntie Sandy!

I have stopped by this woman’s shop 3 times in the last week and every single time she has been closed. Mind you, I have not stopped by after hours, or at odd times in the middle of the night. I have legitimately stopped by this person’s shop in the middle of the afternoon before or after lunch and it has been closed. She has no hours listed. I will not be back.

I would have to concur. I have shown up last minute needing a pair of expensive jeans hemmed, and Sandy does it no problem — one time right there in front of me. She was done within 15 minutes. Awesome. She let me try them on right there for measurements and she knows what she is doing. Even though she is a busy lady, she knows customer service is key to having a successful business. I am glad to see she is getting such positive recognition on Unilocal.Thanks, Sandy, for my last-​minute hems when nobody in the valley seemed to be able to fit me in. The business in the 8^th Street Marketplace quoted me more than double what Sandy charged and, on top of that, wanted extra for it to be expedited. We are talking more than three times what Sandy charged me, and they weren’t going to be able to get to them for a couple days at the very least.

Auntie Sandy PICKS UP AND DELIVERS. Though she is based in Nampa she has no problem coming to you in Boise. She met me at my place of business during my lunch hour this past Thursday. We did a fitting in the ladies room and by FRIDAY midmorning she was done with six of the seven items I’d left with her (pants to be taken in, hemmed and repaired)
Let’s talk prices. Auntie Sandy quoted me $ 12 per item taken in and $ 7 for hems. I had two pair of jeans with frayed inseams that needed repair and she did it all for a mere $ 45!
Auntie Sandy is a talented tailor/​seamstress who specializes in childrens clothing. however she came highly recommended to me by someone who knew I was in serious need of some clothing alterations and that I didn’t have time to run around to different places.
I will not use anyone else for alterations in the future, for the convenience and the price and she’s a darned nice lady to boot!
One caution, if she is coming to your office be sure you have somewhere away from your work area to have her do your fittings as she usually has her young son with her.
