Definitely a huge fan of this authentic pizza. After spending a lot of time in New England and getting accustomed to New York style pizza, this place surprised me. Pizza is essentially it’s own food group for me and this place is tough competition. Although it doesn’t get as much hype as competitors, it’s a place not to miss.

Interesting because I wrote a poor review for their employees, and it was up for a few days, but gone now. I thought they had no control over reviews? Obviously, they do because my review was thoughtfully written and honest. I guess Unilocal isn’t what we all thought it was, either.

The best pizza in town, and anywhere else. Hands down. Any pizza you order will tantalize your taste buds.

Casanova is the home of Aurora: the best server in Boise! The service here is great and the pizza is fantastic. Thin, hot, and topped with the perfect amount of ingredients. A Comet pizza on a snowy night in Boise is basically a cure-all for about anything. Also, their appetizers are fantastic. A small pizza and an antipasto salad is the perfect date night and you may even have a slice or two leftover to go. They also have a parking lot. This may not sound huge, but it’s so nice to get quality pizza without circling the block downtown.

DELICIOUSPIZZA. Perfect crust compliments of their wood burning brick oven and plenty of toppings. A wide range of options for both carnivores and vegetarians! Fresh and visually appealing salads, as well as cheese bread to get you started! You will never be parched with the drink options here either. Italian sodas, lattes, tea, as well as regular sodas and coffee. Overall this is a first choice place to grab a bite.

Best Pizza in Boise. Hands down. I could elaborate, but just go try it. If I ever hear anyone try to tell me the Flying Pie is better, or good at all for that matter, I will smack the sh*t out of them. Thank you Casanova. Keep killin it!

Simply the best pizza in town. Great service and $ 3 pints of cold beer. Great wine selections too. Love love long time.

The palate to accommodate the market must have altered the menu. The tomato sauce was super sweet and did not have the long simmered sauce I remembered. There was nothing outstanding about the pies. The cheese was bland and so were the Juno and Louis Prima — lifeless. I’m happy to say average is the old new pizza in this town. Too bad.

Great little pizzeria! Small dining room, so you might have to wait a few minutes but you’ll be glad you did. The crust is thin and crispy. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. Decent beer selection and good service, too. The best pizza in Boise? Quite possibly!

There isn’t much to say wrong about Casanova Pizzeria. Casanova is secluded from other fine dining locations on the Boise bench. It offers a small, but charming dining space. The staff is very friendly and eager to share their favorites on the menu. I recommend asking for some tips because you’re going to want to try some of the specials. I made the mistake of sticking to my pepperoni before I realized all the options my party had ordered. There is definitely something for everyone. If you’re looking for more than just pizza Casanova offers different pasta, sandwich, and salad options. I always recommend Casanova to friends.

This is one of Boise’s best pizzas, cooked in a wood-burning oven. Ask for capocollo from the sandwich menu to be added to a margherita pizza(what Apizza Scholls in Portland, the masters at the craft, call an Amore). It’s a wonderful combination. My two suggestions would be to go lighter with the sauce to keep the crust crispy and add the basil after the pizza comes out of the oven. Those are just minor points. They serve great food here and the service is friendly and attentive.

Very delicious pie and salad. Had the medusa and the spinach salad. Both were excellent, the crust was perfect and even my picky 5 year-old loved her cheese pizza. This is my new favorite spot for pizza in Boise!

Suffice it to say that ten years after eating my first Casanova pizza, followed by two years of making pizzas in the kitchen there, I moved to Portland, Oregon and opened a pizza shop and named a pizza after this gem of a pizza shop. The pizzas are fantastic and the staff consistently delivers the best service in town! Every time I am in Boise I make a special point of digging into at least one of these rustic pies! HUGE thanks folks! Cheers Casanova! Keep it up!

First of all I personally do not like super thin crust on pizza, but I do here. This is very very good quality pizza with no shortage of any topping. I have only dinned in here and I love the homey feel, some would say old but I like it. Staff is friendly but the place can get pretty crazy especially for their parking lot which is the only part I do not enjoy about coming here. If you like thin crust pizza there is none better, but the price is just a bit over my average dinner out.

When looking for authentic Neapolitan style pizza, I’m looking for: 1) Sauciness and 2) Just the right amount of charring on a crust that isn’t NY style thin but also not Chicago style thick These requirements are aside from the requirements for all pizza – quality fresh ingredients, flavorful, hot upon serving, and what I like to call«cheesiness not greasiness». Casanova has in all in spades. I ordered their Margherita(sauce, fresh mozz, fresh basil) and The Comet(sauce, mozz, pepperoni, tomato, basil, garlic). The margherita was awesome – tons of sauce showing between melted slices of fresh mozz and beautifully large leaves of basil. On The Comet, they were generous with toppings(tons of garlic! yes!) and also beautifully saucy. Their sauce is on the thicker side, so it’s not dripping but present and flavorful. The restaurant is charming and their service is friendly(everyone was smiling! Lovely happy vibes all around!). Hands down one of the best Neapolitan pizzas in Boise. Oh! And, they have a pretty extensive menu of sandwiches as well. And, the use Boar’s Head deli meats! Yes! Get to it!

Best New Haven style pizza hands down. I’ve been to Frank Pepe’s and Modern Apizza, and they were yummy, but this has them beat. It’s less salty, so you can taste the ingredients better. The crust is not as cracker thin as in New Haven, but that also means you can taste the delicious dough better. What ever they’re doing is perfect!!!

Its really a 4 and a quarter rating. Maybe even 4 and a half. FUHGEDDABOUDIT! Having spent nearly 90% of my life living in New York City, you may want to seriously consider this review. Being relatively new to the Boise area, I’ve been craving REAL pizza. I admit, I shouldn’t have really been expecting much from the likes of «Idaho Pizza Company» and«Old Chicago». Those places were flops, and I knew they would be. The wifey and I walked in at around 5:15PM, and we were the only ones in there. The place reminds me of a typical NY pizza joint. well, sort of. Close enough I say. Anyway, we decided to split a chicken parm sandwich and a small pizza with sausage and peppers. Both were delicious. Pizza charred perfectly, perfect distribution of toppings, high quality cheese. Sandwich had bread with just the right amount of crispiness. The sauce was, mmm. Simple and tasty. My new pizza spot. It’s about time.

Hubby and I are new to Idaho, having moved here last summer from the east coast. There are so many restaurants in addition to pizzerias to discover in the Treasure Valley, that we will be busy for many years to come. Of the very few pizza places we’ve checked out so far, Casanova is tops! I concur with others re the crust. The thin, charred in places quality is primo. I wouldn’t change a thing. We ordered a large and were there when the«Hawaiian Countryside» special was offered. We had half that and half Louis Prima Suprima. Both varieties were superb! We couldn’t get over the sheer amount of toppings which sets Casanova apart from your typical pizza place. They are generous in a very good way. We will be back, for sure! The reason for 4 vs. 5 stars is that we were there during an «off» hour — just after 3:00 on a Saturday, when there were few people there, but the service was slow(though friendly) particularly when we were ready to box up the remaining half of our pizza and pay our bill. I also can see the problem with limited seating and parking. It’s way too small for the amount of business they could do. I imagine they do a fair amount of take-out business. The closest pizza place to me is Pizzalchik, but I wish it were Casanova, because for pizza it wins hands down in my book!
