I travel regularly from Portland, OR to Jackson, WY and back again. It is such a fantastic treat to find this sweet little gem! Not only was the food absolutely delicious(I had the Havarti Avocado breakfast sandwich), the espresso perfectly pulled(I ordered a double americano), the ambiance comfortable and classy and the prices fair… but the service was also beyond compare. It was a bit tricky to find because my GPS directed me to a location a block early. Coming from the interstate 84 you’ll follow your GPS directions and pass the movie theater. This place is tucked back in a corner on the left side if you’re facing the theater. So happy to find such a treasure at my halfway point. I’ll absolutely be back.

Dear People of Boise, Quit your kvetching because there is no time to lament the quaint bucolic town you grew up in because the same forces that have transformed Austin, Portland and Oakland have descended upon you with their pristine, shimmering modernity and resistance is truly futile, unless you would like to strap yourself into a perpetual nursing home rocking chair whilst repeating the refrain: «why, when I was a lad in Boise, the milk man still delivered our milk, and children respected their elders.» Yes, I am a carpetbagger from(shudder) Southern California, so take what I say with a tremendous grain of artisanal salt, but Murph’s is your future. It may not be your cup of your soporific chamomile tea, but every corner bistro will soon look like this in Boise(yeah, you’ll have bistros… trust me on this), and this place THISAMAZINGFRICKEN place will get to say: we were first. Architectural Digest meets Fast Company meets that cousin from Brooklyn who is cooler than you’ll ever be and you f*!@ng hate him for it. Yeah, that’s this place. Where you can sup on egg, havarti, and avocado sandwiches, wash it down with some blueberry champagne and then, screw it, have another because you are young, and fabulous and your whole gorgeous body just hangs from your perfect cheekbones. Just one question: what the hell is this place doing here, next to the empty husks of a Fuddruckers and probably an Olive Garden(more or less). I will tell you what it’s doing: it’s a harbinger. A glorious, inescapable harbinger. Bow down and worship at the altar of its five star magnificence.

My daughter and have been on a quest to find the most comfy coffee shops in Boise. Our criteria is this, free wifi, comfy seating with tables, good food or snacks, good service, and great coffee. Murph’s fit all of the above. They have ample comfy seating so you don’t have to fight with anyone for a good spot. They serve actual food, that they make, as well as snacks and pastries. My daughter had the ultimate grilled cheese and I had the eggs Benedict. Delicious! The service was great too. We will be making this our new hangout spot.

They use Dawson Taylor roast. Coffee is delish, and if you’re in need of a drive thru option, they kill it. If you’re looking for a sit down experience, think Europe inside. Soooo cool. ipads on tables and Beats by Dre to borrow while you’re there. Coffee shops, should be about good coffee. You’ll get that and more here.

Nice looking inside but disappointing. Coffee had very little flavor and the Havarti and avacado sandwich was a pathetic joke. Pay $ 6 for a breakfast sandwich and you wouldn’t expect one tomato slice the size of a quarter and a smearing of something green that I guess was some form of avacado. LISTENPEOPLE! ‘Avacado’ means slices of avacado and not some green paste or even guacamole real or not. Not going back!

Went in to try out Murphs for the second time this weekend during the afternoon and very pleased at what great service we had as well as the turkey sandwiches and Caesar salad . The visit was well worth it and relaxing. I would definitely come back and think it’s great!

We stopped in to Murph’s while we waiting for our movie to start and I instantly fell in love with it. The interior is modern, yet welcoming. The staff was very friendly, as well. I’d expect to find a place like this downtown, so I was surprised how much I dug it. I actually didn’t consume anything while we were here, but our party had two coffees and a lemonade and everyone was pleased with their drinks! I do wish it wasn’t in such a hard-to-access location, though.

I went here to get a quick lunch before a movie. The turkey pesto sandwich was recommended to me by the staff. Boy was it ever good! It was grilled and on sour dough bread(my favorite). The turkey was chopped and there were some caramelized onions that added nicely to the flavor of the sandwich. The sandwich had the right amount of pesto along with lettuce. I also got to pick between a bag of regular or BBQ potato chips. The staff is very friendly and the interior of the restaurant is bright and clean. I will be back!

Came here for lunch one day. Ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and one of their cold brew coffee’s. I was the only person in the entire place. They have a nice, modern, chic and sleek vibe to the place with plenty of white couches and chairs, and see through tables. After placing my order, I noticed the furniture was covered with flies. It made me wonder about the sanitary conditions of the rest of the place. The cold brew came out first. I added some cream to it from their station. Pretty sure it was old because the coffee became sour. It’s ok, didn’t need it anyways. The sandwich came out hot and tasty, but with no drink left me parched. I will probably give this place a second chance in the future.

This is a new edition to the Boise coffee scene. I love the modern feel of the coffee shop. The staff is super friendly; they bring your coffee out to you even come check on you periodically. The coffee is excellent. I usually get the salted Carmel mocha; their one of the few places in town that has salted Carmel. Another feature of this coffee shop is their super easy app you can use to order. You can order and pay it’ll be ready when you get there. My only 2 negatives is the lack of plug ins and tables for lap top computer users. I make do but I bet you could add some more business if you added a table or two for that. The high tables are not just not very comfortable except for casual browsing on the IPads they provide. I did try the food; the grilled cheese the ultimate one. It wasn’t anything too special just melted cheese slapped on two barely toasted slices of bread. I was thinking ooey gooey cheese it wasn’t that the cheese was barely melted on the slices of bread. I like the cheese selection they used. I probably won’t order more food; the coffee, service and atmosphere are excellent that alone makes them a must try in the coffee world in Boise.

Got to drop this down due to my last visit and experience at Murph’s. I had just finished having some amazing pizza next door at NY Giant Pizza and decided to stop in here. I was hankering for a very special treat that they do well, it was a cold chocolatey Frappuccino. After I opened the newly decorated doors(graffiti’d with colored writings and the reminder of fall specials) I stepped in to the smell of garbage. My best guess being that is what it was, Murph’s all of a sudden did not bring me back to a coffee house but more of a landfill at the dump. I noticed one other customer in their as well, maybe others recieved the memo but I knew I didn’t for sure. I checked one last thing before bolting out and that was the pastry case, in last review my feedback had been PRICEANDLABEL the items and finally I beheld this very thing. This review would be even lower but I got to give some credit here for fixing this issue, however the smell was so disturbing I hightailed it out of there and didn’t even get my drink. Oh well. maybe another time.

Was in the area and needed a little caffeination. I had been in this shop when it was Moxie Java but hadn’t been since it became Murph’s. I decided to give it a try. What an overhaul! The inside has been updated and looks much more modern. There are ipads for use on some of the tables and overall they’ve gone for a much more sleek look than the cozy coffee shop that Moxie had been sporting. I was also told by my barista that an app is in the works(whereby you could order ahead and they’d have your coffee waiting for you when you get there! nice!). My mocha was a bit sweet and the espresso wasn’t as strong as I prefer. I would say, if you dig Dutch Bros(which, to me, lands on the sweeter and more mild coffee flavor side of the things), you will totally dig Murph’s. It’s not like my mocha was bad or anything – but not as strong as I prefer. Were I to go again, I’d likely ask for an extra shot of espresso in my mocha. Also! They offer pour over and cold brew. Awesome!

Murph’s is a cute coffee shop with a modern and sophisticated twist. Both times I went the cashier/barista was really nice and had a conversation with me. There are also iPads on the tables inside which are fun to play with. :) My iced vanilla latte was really good, on the sweeter side, but that’s the way that I like it. The grilled cheese took a while, but it was worth the wait because it was crispy and cheesy and everything a grilled cheese should be. It comes with a bag of chips, which is a nice touch. I would definitely come back again if I am in the area. Also, there’s a neat little drive thru if you’re in a rush.

Murph’s is a weekly tradition for me, a fun environment and good food have kept me coming back! Positives: it’s a darling restaurant, the food is good, and the staff is friendly. I’m not a coffee drinker which can make it hard for me to review coffee shops(even though I love them) but Murph’s hot chocolate is very good and comes in different flavors! Negatives: these are the only reasons I’m not giving a 5 star: two of the times I’ve come I have ordered the Havarti and Avocado Sandwich and neither time they have had avocado! Sandwiches were still good though. The service(while friendly) was not very fast. I felt like I have ordered fairly simple breakfasts and always wait just a few too many minutes for them. All in all, I know this is a very new place(only 5 weeks according to the owner who I got to speak with, lovely man) and as the employees get more experience the service will probably speed up. But I enjoy my weekly visit and will definitely continue to come back!

I was very very happy with the service I got at this café. The staff was very friendly and the environment was pleasant. I was surprised though as to how empty the place was for lunch time, but I assume that is due to the fact they are fairly new and there is construction in the area. Both my food and drink were delicious, and I am pleased I found this café I will be coming back for sure.

Great healthy food options, free wifi and service with a smile. Lots of beverage options like matcha and cold brew coffee and a few gluten free options/ability to make sandwiches into salads.
