ROMiÓS Greek and Italian Restaurant

I have 4 kids and all 4 were satisfied which isn’t easy. My husband & I were satisfied as well. 6 for 6 is dang hard to do so I’d say we’re definitely going back!!!

I write one or two reviews a year, and only after being in a place a few times. I won’t write a bad review (plenty of bad places, and after one or two visits with bad results I won’t waste my time)…
That being said, my wife and I STRONGLY recommend you try Romio’s, more than once, to decide for yourself.
We don’t eat as much as we used to (now in our 70’s) and usually split meals IF we agree on what to share, which is easy here.
Our favorite since our first meal here after movingly nearby was the Spaghetti and meatballs, and we have it at least every other time we order. We also have a very nice salad which we also split. Often we have a nice size (not huge, just right) carry out of spaghetti, no salad (all gone!) for the next day. Pizzas are excellent inside or take-​out; everything can be delivered. Staff is always friendly and prompt; prices reasonable, varied menu is a mixture of Italian and Greek dishes (try the lemon-​rice soup!), many more great dishes we haven’t yet tried. Pleasant, smaller atmosphere, always clean and cozy but without (usually) a long wait if at all.
All in all, don’t know what we’ve forgotten to mention, but we don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Try it, you’ll like it!

I thought the food was amazing. I ordered the pistitsio and it was amazing just like i had at the greek festival. I would go back again

I got a menu in the mail at work so I decided to try it. Twice! I am blown away by how delicious the food is, and how quick the delivery is. The egg plant Parmesan sandwich is out of this world! It’s served with fresh chips! The pizza was very good. The soup is especially nice during the cold weather we’re having. I am impressed with the courteous employees. I definitely look forward to the next time!

food was great. I ordered the Italian calzone. kinda bland but crust was soft. it tasted like it was missing the ‘kick’. I would return, thou for sure.

Great spot for family dinner — plenty of fun menu items to explore, plus familiar favorites for picky kids. ;) Loved the pizza, pastas, and can’t wait to come back for Dolmades! Incredible service, too; when my son’s pizza was «too spicy» because he ordered the garlic crust — and it came with actual garlic cloves in it, ha ha! — the chef kindly made him a new one at no charge. Service with a smile, and you’re treated like family… Perfection!

The fresh made dough has an irresistible flavor along with generous portions without skimping on ingredients. I am sold that they make the best, largest calzones. One can easily feed 2 people and the price is definitely a value.

Wonderful food, terrific staff, made all of us feel at home. We will definitely recommend to family & friends!

Awesome Food, home made greek Italian taste like grandma made it, first class chefs. The way they season their dishes is amazing. It’s authentic Greek, Italian with a modern feel and fast service I’m really glad I tried it. I eat here a couple times a week now always great with friendly helpful staff. Five stars all the way.

Great food, great service. This place is a Boise gem! I’ve been here several and suggested it to our friends, whom we get together for night out once a month, and they loved from the very first bite. Gus came by and visited with us and made everyone feel special! Do not miss out on the experience of this Italian/​Greek cuisine!

So… Mmmmmm!
I really just ordered from here because I was trapped at home starving and I didn’t care what it was. That was a year ago.
chicken Parmesan with pasta and a side salad (very reasonable lunch special price)
It was fast. It was hot. And it was good. It ALSO fed me for 3 meals and I shared with my son. Now I’m a chicken parm fan and I won’t say this is the *best I’ve ever had* but it was pretty dang good and my son loved it. Conversely, I am NOT a fan of spaghetti noodles, especially just plain with a little tomato sauce (boring). I’ll always get angel hair or something else if I have the choice. But there is something about their spaghetti pasta that’s simple and great! Cooked perfectly and very tasty.
The salad (I’m greens picky) was simple but fresh and their house vinaigrette is yummy
They also pack their delivery items very smartly and safely so nothing gets soggy or smashed.
Since then I’ve ordered maybe 5 times, love their lemon chicken soup, gyro or Italian salad and always get that chicken parm, so we can eat for 3 days lol
There’s more tho. Thy are local and super friendly! I’ve actually never visited the place (hear it’s clean but nothing special) but every time I’ve called, they are nice, helpful, prompt and even a little bit fun on the phone!
Tonight we ordered the plankopita (hope I spelled that right) and really look forward to trying something new with our (ahem) chicken Parmesan and salad :)

We started off with the calamari for an appetizer and soon moved to the crab ravioli for me and the gyro salad for my wife. The shrimp with the ravioli was awesome! The flavors marvelous and the meal was great. Wait staff did a fine job and food was served quickly. This was our second time here and we plan to come again when we are back in town. If you want a place to eat that will make your tummy happy and taste buds sora. This is THE place.

Tasty food, nice wait staff, too bad he spilled an entire iced water in my lap (10−9−15) right before serving dinner. Lots of apologies, lots of napkins, and a fresh water. No mention of «we’d like to buy your dinner, a drink, dessert», nothing. Finished my dinner, walked out with wet pants, and won’t return

WEAK! Here’s the story as to why…
In town for business, saw the reviews, and thought let’s get our Italian-​on! Waiter recommended a chicken Alfredo dish that had sun-​dried tomatoes, artichokes, and pancetta… Sounds good, right? Lunch specials come with salad, so I spring for it ($ 14.99).
The salad comes out and it’s great! Fresh lettuce, tomato, black olives, and the homemade Italian house dressing (oh yeah, it has Mozz on it too). The 1-​star is for the salad!
Within 4-​minutes (I’m not done with my salad yet), the pasta dish comes out. It looks great too, but too good to be true… As I dig around, I realize the the chicken looks exactly like the Tyson pre-​made version you can buy at the grocery (identical grill marks/​evenly sliced/​same funky taste). The Alfredo sauce is pretty tasteless and pasta cooked through (yuck!) I also notice the garlic bread has an exact amount of butter/​seasoning… There’s no way their cooking anything in the kitchen!
The waiter comes by to check in things and I ask… He avoids me for a few minutes, but then I press and ask what he found out and he/​another server swear they cook everything in house. Born/​raised in the restaurant biz, so I’m not biting!
Long story short… Pay the bill and get on with it. Looking for good fresh made Italian? Look elsewhere!

Romio’s has, by far, the best Greek food I’ve ever had! Gus is an amazing guy! Everyone there is so friendly. I feel like I’m home when I’m there!

The food was great and so was the service. Great staff with fun waiters & chef. Great with big groups and people. Food was delicious! 5 starts great time!!!

Margarita Pizza was really good and the on tap beer selection had a little something for everyone.

Went to Romios for birthday supper with my daughters… great waitstaff the food was awesome or gyros came with made in house chips. Dessert was great had baklava… will be coming back

I really like this place! It staffed with really helpful freindly people. Although it might be a tad bit small at lunchtime it’s still worth trying! This is about my 5^th time at this location and every time I leave happy!
The food is always very good almost great! Lunch specials come with soup or salad. The soup is always very unique and awesome! The calzone is huge and some of the best it town! They have am up charge to add garlic to pizzas and calzone and this is a must do! Only bad part about eating here for lunch is your going to need a nap after! :)

I’m still a big fan of Romio’s! Since my previous review, I was made aware by a Romio’s employee that this location is no longer associated with the franchise out of Seattle (which I make mention to in my review). Apparently, they are completely family and locally owned and operated.

Have been here one time (for lunch) but it won’t be the last because I must at least try the pizza and salads that so many folks rave about. Today I had the chicken souvlaki with feta added, and it was excellent. The pita wrap was tender, perfect texture, and the chicken had a nice marinade and was plentiful. An impressive side salad (or soup if you choose) came with the dish which included obviously house made croutons (good thing they put only a few on there, cuz I would have eaten more of these yummy things and erased any sense of virtuousness :-) Also included, house made potato chips that were fantastic. Hubby ordered the Italian Calzone (ginormous!) which also included the same great side salad. Very tasty, took half home for dinner. This place is very clean, the service was stellar, and the value was incredible! We are eagerly looking forward to going back again.
