My high pressure water hoses that I ordered and paid a premium price for because I wanted quality have sprung leaks. The fittings lost their o rings the second time I used them. I’m so disappointed in this company’s products and customer service.

Do not buy anything from this company that requires gas or oil. For us, we ordered a lawn mower and put gas and oil in as expected. The mower was too hard to start and then the self propel stopped working during our first mow. The problem is that your only choice is repair no matter what. Does not matter that the it is too hard too start or that this one is a lemon, you cannot send anything back that has had gas or oil in it. Too bad since you don’t know that the mower is not appropriate for you until you put gas and oil in it. We are sending it to a Toro service provider to fix the self propel but since this was advertised as an easy to start mower, I am not sure how my older Mom should start it since it was quite difficult for myself. And yes, I know they say take it in if it is not easy to start. I am sure there is a miracle waiting in the service center to make it easier.

Turns out this is the same company with multiple websites and one owner — Andrew it seems. Everything goes through him, so this is the first bottle neck. Next he does not seem to know what everyone else is doing. Placed the order on Tuesday. On Thur the order status changed from recieved to pending. A request to call them for info. They claim checking on the owner of the order. This was after being switched finally to Andrew. He cleared everything and promised to ship Friday to be delivered Tuesday. Friday afternoon the order was cancelled with no notes or any explanation. Just got an email saying order updated and it was cancelled. Wasted a week with them and had to order this off Bassani who got it right away and confirm that there was a lot of orders for this product.

This is horrible service and I so glad I did not buy from them after reading all the other horrible reviews. Imagine if I got the bag that did not fit or if they strung me along. They most not have any stock in house but must be pretending to have it, and then asks the Manufacturer to drop ship.
What ever you do, don’t believe what they say.

Ordered a Rolair portable compressor on a Thursday night, got a shipping confirmation Friday morning, and it was on my doorstep in Philadelphia the following Tuesday afternoon. Can’t ask for much better service than that. The prices are fair, the selection is immense, and the product arrived in perfect condition. I don’t buy this kind of stuff often, but I’d gladly shop with this company again. For the few people that have posted negative reviews about long shipping times, it should be plainly obvious that items marked as «backordered» will not ship as quickly as something listed as «in stock». Every product description clearly states its availability… so set your expectations accordingly.

I ran in to the store. It is a mail order business not a showroom. I was greeted right away, I had done my research so I pretty much knew what I wanted. Confirmed some issues placed the order, went around to shipping and away I went with my sump pump and switch…

I bought a Generac 22kw Gaurdian for almost $ 5000 from these guys. It was shipped to my freight forwarder in Miami to ultimately be shipped to the island of St Maarten. I got a message from my shipper that due to the shipment being valued more than $ 2500 I would need to get the supplier’s ein #. When I called I was told they wouldn’t provide it to me. I asked to speak to a manager, she told me the same thing. I relayed that US customs requires this info to allow shipment and the gen would be stuck without it. I was told that I could return, but I’d have to pay shipping and a restocking fee. To do business in the US you need to provide your federal id number, this is a normal request. Their website clearly states they ship to freight forwarders. Now I’m going to have to fight the battle through my cc, I’m out of pocket the 5k, still have no generator, and hurricane season is here. Stay far away from this shady business.

Was in need of a new garden tractor after faithful service from a Simplicity for about 14 years. Very few dealers around for them any more. PED was the closest one so I drove about 45 minutes to the one in Bolingbrook IL. I couldn‘t have been more disappointed with EVERY aspect of this operation. Walked in, and noone said hello for over five minutes. people sitting at desks, one guy behind the counter, not one person even aknowleged that I was there. Finally I asked for help, and the guy that talked to me didn‘t know the first thing about the tractors that they were supposedly trying to sell. Not one in the store to look at, strictly catalogue sales on these bigger units. I was there to buy a tractor in the $ 7,000.00 range, and it didn‘t matter. They are trained to do internet and phone sales. Really poor skills for interacting with a customer face to face. Had the I don‘t really care attitude because I‘m getting paid no matter what. Couldn‘t even find a brochure for the model I wanted (I had already done my homework on these). Suffice it to say that I wasted the better part of three hours of my life going there, and I spent my hard earned dollars in a John Deere dealership where the people were friendly, and treated me like I was already a valued customer. Don‘t know if the people at Simplicity or other manufacturers know how PED handles customers, but their businesses are hurting because of this group. Take it somewhere else.

BEWARE OF THESE THIEVES!!! I ordered an air compressor online and when it came to deliver, the driver woiuld not pull in my driveway! said he «wasn’t allowed». He wanted to leave the compressor ¼ mile away along side of the road!!!
I have lived here for 14 years and have had all kinds of equipment delivered including a ride on mower from home Depot. They came in a semi-​truck and had no problem!
The driver from PED said he would come back with a different trruck. He never came back. The viper of a woman who called from PED said she would speak to her manager and get back to me. She never called. Next thing I know, they are charging my credit card $ 125.00 for return shipping!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! THEY HAVE 0 CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Look at all the negative feedback from people. There is also negative feedback on other sites as well. I will give these crooks only one opportunity to refund the money they stole from me, after which I will file a consumenr fraud complaint in Superior Court here in NJ. These thieves will not get my $ 125.00!

Very bad customer service, the attitude of the lady on the phone like she is giving it for free when I’m trying to spent few thousands, no appreciation for customers get it somewhere else

Terrible to do business with. I ordered online. Received an email confirming my order. THen for days nothing happened and the order never showed as «shipped» on their web site. When I email them, they claim to have «lost» the order. After a few emails back and forth, they claim they «cancelled» the order because I never called them to verify the order, which they never asked for.

this company is just fine until you need to return something they will charge for the so called free shipping. they will charge you for the free shipping if you return a product! they should call it a restocking fee cuz that what it is. They lost my business i will go elsewhere. customer service is horrible. i purchase a lawn mower but realized it was the front wheel drive i needed rear wheel drive this product was in the box still brand new. i would have brought a lawn mower for twice the price if they took care of me but they gouged me instead

Bought a zero turn Toro mower. Best price around, free shipping, no tax. Arrived in only 5 days delivered to my driveway. Packed perfect in crate. Not a scratch on it. I would definitely buy from them again!

I Purchased a Husqvarna 460 chainsaw that only ran for 15 minutes then stopped… I could never get it to restart, plus leaked chain oil from the bottom. Chainsaw Direct will not replace their defective products sold online. Power Equipment Direct will happily sell you their defective products online, then shift the responsibility of their defective product to you and the manufacture for any repairs.
I highly recommend everyone to avoid such scrupulous internet companies as Power Equipment Direct with attractive and friendly websites… but their company policies are as ugly as sin!

Currently trying to purchase a Bel-​AIre air compressor from there air compressor division. Their website states ships in 2 to 5 days for this particular compressor! Not even close. Don’t be deceived by what their website shows for ship times, more like three times what it states or so they say! Still waiting for it to ship although they say it will ship 15 days after the order was placed! I would recommend calling them to get a ship commitment over the phone or better yet take your business elsewhere!

Placed my order for a well pump that was listed as being in stock on 5÷3÷13. On 5÷5÷13 I got an email saying my order was processing. But then after that nothing. No shipment or status update. On May 21 I called to cancel my order because it was taking too long and they told me to call back that they were having computer problems. Went to call again on May 23 and just then got an email that my order shipped. I have not received it yet but I would never order from them again. It should not take them 20 days to ship an in stock item.

Short story: Wasted 4 hours of my life because their accounting system is horrible, and were incredibly rude.
I called to place an order for some accessories, so I could pick it up from them to save shipping charges. The guy on the phone repeatedly typed my address wrong, which kept causing the credit card transaction not to go through. I gave him two different credit card numbers, which he struggled with for a while and kept saying the system was giving him errors. He finally gives up and tells me that I can pay when I get there, assuring me that once in the story they can just swipe the card and not worry about this.
I drive 2 hours to get there, and the guy behind the counter says that there’s a «problem with my credit card». I give him two different credit cards, and he would only give me evasive answers about there being something wrong with my credit card.
I called American Express while standing there, and confirmed with them that they saw no attempts to even try my card. Amex offered to give the store an authorization number to override the decline, the sales guy said he couldn’t take it. Amex wanted to talk to the sales rep to confirm with him that there was no reason they were preventing the transaction, and that the address I gave him was correct. He said it wouldn’t matter. At this point Amex said there was nothing they could do, and reiterated to me that there was nothing wrong with the card.
The sales rep could not have been more condescending during this if he tried. I kept telling him all I wanted to do was give them money, and to please tell me what I needed to do to make this happen. He insisted there was something wrong with my credit cards. I said I just called my credit card company for one of them who says there’s nothing wrong.
I left empty handed and drove home wasting another 2 hours. I’m not annoyed so much with their billing system problems, as I am with the attitude. If he had said something like «I’m really sorry, leave me your contact details and we’ll get to the bottom of this and call you back» or «Sorry we asked you to drive here when that didn’t make any difference, lets figure out how we can get this paid for some other way and we’ll ship it to you» I would have been perfectly happy. Instead all he was trying to do was get me out the door.
In the end, I went home, stopping on the way to buy dinner using that very same credit card. Once home I placed an order for the same accessories from one of their competitors, again using the same card.
I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a company so eager to not try to resolve a minor issue preventing a customer from buying something. If this is what they’re like when trying to buy something, I can only imagine what they’re like once they’ve already got your money.

Did a search for a Made in USA edger and received a cheap plastic edger from China instead, horrible return policy (with 25% restocking fee), bad customer service and dozens of spam messages each day ever since. AVOID

I purchased a trailer ramp from this company, Power Equipment Direct.
It didn’t work for me as the rungs were too far apart. After contact with the company, they immediately refunded my money IN FULL, no questions asked.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Beware! They post a terminal delivery rather than a destination delivery time. I am stuck. Once they «process» the item, you are responsible for «round trip shipping».
That on top of the self-​importaint «customer service» agents will stop me from ever buying from this company again. I am also filing with the BBB. It seems their intent is to defraud all customers by offering quicker delivery than they can reasonably provide. Once bitten, twice shy! My first and last purchase.
