Vets to Pets Mobile Veterinary Service

Many thanks to Dr. Cynthia Redfield for her genuine compassion and concern for both the pets under her care and their human companions. Dr. Redfield has helped two of my very old cats transition in the most loving and gentle way in the comfort and security of their own home. Dr. Redfield was as wonderful and caring with me as she was with my pets, too. She even sent me a card right away with a beautiful hand-​written message that spoke uniquely to my kitty Ellie and what she meant to me. I still have the note she wrote to me when she helped with my cat Jimmy two years before. Thank you so much, Dr. Redfield.

Pros: well where do i start with Dr. Cynthia, she is the best vet ever! she helped us put our doggy, chuchu, to the other side of the rainbow bridge last month. chuchu was slowing down and was now showing visible signs of some pain and suffering. we knew that the time was coming close to have chuchu put down. and i would have no other vet but Dr. Cynthia do this most delicate farewell. she was so kind and gentle and was completely there for us and of course Chuchu.
Dr. Cynthia helped us through a very difficult time and she is absolutely the best vet. she helped Chuchu when she was alive and now would help her into the endless sleep. we had also decided that we would have Chuchu’s remains cremated, as a fitting end to the best chow in the world. and in about 2 weeks Chuchu was returned to us, in a nice little cedar chest. Dr. Cynthia helped make all the arrangements and all we had to do was just wait for her call and then set up the time to get Chuchu back.
So if you are looking for a great Vet, and one that travels to you. Look no further than Dr. Cynthia. Thanks again, Dr. Cynthia.

Dr Cynthia has been to my home two times now to help me let go of my pets. She is wonderful with the animals and especially me. She quizzed me to make sure it was time to let go. Please read her web site blog. She came out the first time two years ago at 8:30 PM and today it was 5:00 PM on a Sunday. This lady deserves an award for being so kind to me as well as my pets.

This is long overdo, but if I could give bonus stars or 10 stars here I would! I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful Dr. Cynthia is, and I had tried out other mobile vets and she’s incomparable. I knew the moment she met my dog Copper that it was meant to be. He immediately liked her, and she has the most welcome opening spirit or aura (however you want to put it) about her. I had to put down my beloved dachshund/​beagle of 13 years, which was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Honestly, she made the experience the absolute best experience it could have ever been. Shortly after, she even sent me a handwritten card, and not just a signed card, but a personalized card that I still have to this day. If I ever get another pet, she will be my vet! It was almost as if she brought angels with her. lol. Thank you vets to pets for making the saddest day also one of the most beautiful!

Dr. Cynthia met me in a peaceful little field of flowers and helped me let my little Emily go surrounded in love.
I cancelled out the first appointment I made and called her. She was not upset at all. In fact, she told me the following:
«Your conscience will speak to her soul and you will know when it is time.»
A few weeks later, I called her and she was so kind. She was very respectful serene when she arrived. I, of course, was in tears and Cynthia gently asked me to tell her a little about my life with Emily. Cynthia has a wonderful vibe and spirit.
I even cuddled on the blanket with Emily with my ear to her heart and heard her last heartbeat. Cynthia was not phased at all.
Later, I panicked when I misplaced Emily’s collar and called her to see if she would look for it. She called back instantly and looked for it. In fact, each time I called Cynthia in the weeks leading up to the final day, she was always very prompt in responding.
Cynthia wrote the MOST beautiful sympathy card and mailed it to me later in the week. It was not just a generic condolence card, but one in which she personalized and wrote specifically about my girl.
Lastly, she closed by saying that she donated to a rescue group in Emily’s name.

Both Aaron and Cynthia are caring compassionate people. Our cats hate getting in the car to go to the Vet. This was a wonderful service — individual undivided attention for as long as was necessary to address our cats needs. Nothing rushed. Cost was about the same as going to other Vet’s office but the service was so much better with Aaron & Cynthia. They took time to get to know the cats and then time to give us explanations. Gave us good referrals for dental work (El Cajon Valley Veterinary Hospital) and cancer evaluation (forgot the name). Will continue to use their service.

Drs. Cynthia and Aaron are both wonderful people and great vets. I took my old Yorkie Angelo to Doc Cynthia for accupuncture to help with his old age ailments. He just loved her (and believe me, he didn’t like most people or vets). He always rallied after his treatements.
When the time came to let him go, Doc Aaron was wonderful with us. Caring and compassionate through the most difficult process one can go through with an animal.
We now have two new Yorkie puppies (rescues) and they are our vets of choice for ongoing care.

This service is AMAZING!!! Cynthia and her assistant were great with my cat. They were on time, super patient, and just very calming. I definitely recommend them for anyone that has a pet that gets super anxious when going to the vet. So happy!

Cynthia was amazing! I’ve got a pretty cool cat myself… well dog. Ali is not one to go to vets, barks at mail men, hates little dogs and really likes the right leg of many men. He’s not the best socially… So I figured this would be the best service. Those gals sure made my dog happy and assured me of all my questions and insecurities. Nothing like chatting with a doc in your home, even through drawing blood, squeezing parts and knobs Ali remained … calm and they really knew how to man handle an 80 LB rotty. Almost a bit SWAT team style… but awesome. Perfect for ease my stress of random dogs, cold medical offices and even colder vets. Love these ladies, can’t go wrong, totally worth the money.

Really great service! Our cat had acupuncture felt the Dr. Was compassionate and really listened and had the cats health and well being in mind. Took her time and listened to all I had to say!

Dr Redfield and her assistant came out for our dog Annie. They were very professional and compassionate. Our dog can’t get into the car because if her hip. She had blood work done, physical and a mani/​pedi. If your looking for a mobile vet this is the team to choose.

I was looking for a vet to come to the house after our GSD had some bad experiences at the Vet Office. Our dog simply is scared of the Vet and gets «scared aggressive». After a few tries that some vet clinics we decided to find a Vet that did house calls.
Dr. Cynthia and her Tech (whom I forgot her name but she was awesome!!!) came to the house, even after my explanation of his behavior in the vet office. I really appreciated that she was not put off by this and was very compassionate about the situation. She brought an amazing vet tech that gave me some handling techniques to use with our dog.
When the time came for the shots, it was a group effort to get our dog to be able to receive his shots. But the handling of our «scared aggressive» dog was AWESOME! We finally got the job done.
This experience was so much less traumatic than going to the vet office. And I feel like Dr. Cynthia and her team understand dog behavior much more than what I experienced in the offices.
I will continue to use Dr. Cynthia and her team for all my pet needs!!!

I have been meaning to do this for quite some time…
Dr. Redfield (Cynthia) and her husband, Aaron have been a blessing to me and my two dogs. They have been my dogs vet for the last two years… They are professional, kind, caring and experts at caring for and assessing the needs of animals. They have done a fabulous job of taking care of both of my dogs and have given me options for their care depending on what was needed. They are the best vets I have ever used and will continue to use!

Dr. Redfield was excellent at responding to numerous emails from me while I was trying to determine if using a mobile vet service would be the right choice for us. I am very happy with our choice to use Vets to Pets. I highly recommend them if you are considering bring the vet to your pet!
Cost was a big part of our decision to use Vets to Pets as was the concern over the battle to take our 18 year old cat and our backyard-​adopted, stubborn, anxiety ridden cat to one of our neighborhood vets. I feel that the fees were very competitive with the two local vets we used for our dog. The additional travel charge (based on your location) was very reasonable and well worth avoiding attempting to get our two cats out of the house without personal injury to us or our cats, not to mention the time I saved.
The service provided by Dr. Cynthia Redfield and her husband Aaron (also a veterinarian) was absolutely wonderful! They were extremely patient with both of our cats, each with its own version of patience needed. The doctors took their time, gave me options with respect to tests and vaccines for each of the cats and answered all my questions without ever once sounding preachy (unlike a local vet office where the vet techs tend to be preachy). Both doctors were very accommodating as they relocated throughout the house to mitigate the stress on our cats as they each received the treatments I chose for them.
During the first visit I decided on a plan that required a subsequent visit. The cost of the second visit was extremely reasonable (not the same travel charge for the follow-​up) in my opinion and the service was, again, excellent. They were patient, kind and compassionate with our cats and me.
I could not be happier with the service our cats and I received. I recommend Vets to Pets and will be using them again.

Our almost 15 year old Golden Retriever was actually aging quite gracefully. However, he took a turn for the worse in 2 days. I can remember thinking 2 weeks ago that he probably still has another good year being with our family based on his physical condition. Of course, things change unexpectedly and don’t always occur when it’s the most convenient, but Dr. Rhoades was unbelievably gracious to come out on such short notice (on a Sunday) to perform an at home euthanasia. I so appreciate the fact that he really does care about animals and offers this invaluable service as I had called about 10 different places. Dr. Rhoades was the only one that called back and was able to explain everything I needed to know in detail with a very kind, compassionate and understanding manner. My husband and I were extremely impressed and highly recommend Dr. Rhoades.

We have the mellowest, sweetest, happiest cat on the planet, but he positively freaks out if we try to put him in a car.
In the past, we’ve taken him to a vet down the street from us, and inevitably, by the time we arrive, he’s in a full-​on sweaty-​pawed panic. We’ve mentioned it several times to our past vet that he’s so anxious about the car that we worry that just the drive over could send him into a heart attack or something, and they recommended rubbing lavender oil on his temples to calm him. Which made him smell like a lavender scented panicked cat who just pooped in his carrier during the ½ mile drive over. It’s a nightmare taking him to a vet’s office with all the other animals and smells freaking him out too, and we hate feeling like we’re traumatizing our cat, especially if it were already worried about his well-​being, ie if something were actually wrong with him. We’ve spent countless hours in the waiting room at our past vets’ offices, kept waiting unnecessarily, given the runaround (ie, come back next week for more testing), and generally feeling like the vet didn’t care about the stress our cat was undergoing.
We always thought it would be great to have a vet able to come to our house instead for his check-​ups and annuals so we can maintain his mellow disposition and get him checked out at the same time, and make sure he gets as much care as he needs without putting him at risk due to stress — and thankfully, we found Dr. Redfield and Vets to Pets!
I LOVE DR. REDFIELD!
She takes great care with our little guy when she expertly assesses him; she goes over our options with us in a calm, nurturing way; educates us about what might be happening with his health, what to expect, what we can do to take the best care of him possible, etc. She seems to love our cat *almost* as much as we do, and her guidance has always been spot on. She has the capabilities to do bloodwork, vaccinations, etc. It’s a dream come true having her as our vet.
Recently our cat went into heart failure but we thought it was an asthma attack (he was breathing heavily and has a history with asthma) and we called Dr. Redfield. She promptly saw him in our home, assessed that it didn’t look like asthma to her, and called an emergency care facility, and ushered us through the process of stabilizing him immediately. When I was freaking out at the ER at midnight, Dr. Redfield was on the phone helping us and reminding us that we were preventing an emergency by having him stabilized NOW. Any other vet would have been closed, or left you panicked and on your own. Dr. Redfield is EXCEPTIONAL, and while suggesting the best possible route to care for our cat, she also kept us calmer with her reliable, thoughtful guidance.
Our cat came home to us much, much healthier, totally stable, and Dr. Redfield has been providing amazing follow up care for our cat in our home. We feel she saved his life, and meanwhile she continues to prepare us for what may come, and has answered all of our questions and concerns with patience and care.
I couldn’t be happier with our experience with Vets to Pets and am constantly grateful for the quality of care our cat gets with Dr. Redfield. We feel lucky to have found her.
