History

Established in 1999.

ADC Mobile came into being after the founder, Walt Ottenad, became disillusioned about the way that his previous employers did business, and felt he could do better. An installer since 1976, Ottenad had been voted one of the top installers in the US by his peers, and had decades of experience under his belt when he formed ADC Mobile in 1999.

In the beginning, visiting automobile dealerships selling and installing all forms of mobile electronics kept us busy. This continued through the 2000’s and as the business grew, he added multiple installers, culminating in a four vehicle fleet of mobile workshops, each outfitted with everything required to perform just about any installation function of a standard «brick and mortar» stereo store.

Currently, we find that most customers very much appreciate our low-​key, no pressure approach to mobile electronics sales — we try to educate and guide our customers, allowing them to make their own choices, NOT what makes the most money.
