It’s clean, coffee shop is big, not to busy. Has two outdoor fire pits(front and back). Cozy and magical for Christmas season. They have a kids corner, two nearby playgrounds, trails, and surrounded by beautiful views. They don’t have a lot of food options,(chips, cookies, a small selection of deli sandwich products, drink products.) A beautiful hidden spot in Bonney lake. Update *** I always had good experiences at this coffee shop but on my last visit, taking one star away. As one of the reviews said, there is one barista that is not kid friendly. Kids are kids, they will be throwing toys around and jumping on the couches and running around. Yes I know, we should be watching our kids but we always clean up after ourselves; picking up toys, throwing away the garbage, or even fixing the couches. The last time we were in, there was no other customers and kids were literally walking around(between 1 – 3 ages)(not wildly running or loud)(throwing toys to each other and laughing) and the barista would come and tell not to throw the toys or would walk by and fix the round chairs or saying kids can’t touch this or that, It was very uncomfortable.

I’ve been coming to this great secret of a place since August of 2014 for the coffee(best ever!), the relaxed and welcoming ambience and the beautiful view of Mt. Rainier. The servers are upbeat and friendly with a sincerity that really makes you feel that you’ve known them for a very long time. Café DeArte of Tehaleh is exactly that. It is housed at The Post on the Tehaleh community(off of 198) and Cascadia Blvd) and has a hiking trail to begin or end your hikes. The coffee is better than the big chains, and the prices are fair. This is the perfect place to bring friends to hang out and have a beverage. Besides coffee, they offer delicious hot chocolate, smoothies, prepackaged sandwiches, etc. and the«BESTEVERCOOKIES». At least share a cookie with your friend or loved one when you have a beverage. I highly recommend Café D’Arte at Tehaleh it’s a wonderful place to just enjoy a great beverage and soak in the beauty of Mt. Rainier, begin or end a hike and just have a good conversation with other customers or the Barista that’s serving. Susan A.

The coffee is fine. But the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired. It is so quite in the place, no background music or anything. So it’s kind of awkward to hang out in there. One day my 13 yr old was sitting doing her homework by herself and a woman(I think from the offices) kept harassing her. «What are you doing here?» Homework. «Schools not out yet» I go to MMS.(She is very small, 10yr old size. «Who do you belong to?» Ummmm, my parents? They just wouldn’t let up. Not much of a community gathering place if you can’t sit quietly and do work. My kids will stop by there occasionally to grab a cookie or a drink. I just wish it was more welcoming.

I think it just depends on the barista… Some greet you the moment you walk through the door and contemplate your order, others have that air about them that you are interrupting their Facebook time. Coffee is hit and miss as is the customer service. I’m so sorry I interrupted today’s barista. It’s just hard because, I live in the neighborhood and it was a nice day and thought I’d go for a walk and a coffee. I won’t make that mistake again. Darn shame– because I prefer Caffe D’Arte over Starbucks any day. I thought it being within walking distance would be a plus. What a joke.

Okay, this place is my fav! Love the knowledge the baristas have about Tehaleh and Newland communities! Their coffee is carefully crafted and delicious. Yes yes! I always get their cold brew with various flavor combos and cream. Glorious way to start my days! Thanks for being so awesome and friendly!

Taken my daughter here several times after walking some of the Tehaleh trails. Always friendly, prices are fine, very attractive building and the view is fabulous(weather permitting…) Would have gone 3 ½ for pre-made sandwiches and pastries, but friendly service got the ½ star bump. When Tehaleh gets built out, I expect this place to offer more I hope.

I come here and get salads and coffee at least twice a week. The ladies are so nice and wonderful every time I come in. My daughters are always welcome here and they love the books and games they have to play with. My coffee is always amazing I would pick it over Starbucks any day! I would highly recommend coming in here! I have at least five girlfriends that come in and they all would say nice things about café darte. I do not believe the bad review to be true. THESTAFFISAMAZING!

I live in Tehaleh. It was a nice day, so I invited a friend over to walk the trails and wanted to stop into Caffee D’arte for a coffee. I have a 2 year old and so does she – Caffe D’arte has a nice little kids corner with a pretend kitchen, legos, toys, books ect. Very nice touch to have a little play area so you can drink your coffee while the kids play. Not only was I excited to show my friend my new home and new neighborhood, I was excited to show her this beautiful little café. Boy, was I embarrassed! The girl who was working was very unfriendly. Didn’t ask us how she could help us, didn’t greet us. Just stood at the cash register staring at us until we ordered. The atmosphere at this café is very nice. Nicely decorated and a great place to grab some coffee. However, I doubt I will be going back unless management addresses employee standards. We sat at the table next to the play area so we could watch our kids. They dumped the legos out first thing(of course) and sat there quietly playing. The girl who was working kept coming over and wiping our table off and pushing our chairs in every time we stood up even though we were obviously not leaving & our coffees that we ordered were still full. It was very rude. I was so taken back by her attitude towards our group that I didn’t even know what to say to her. She did not speak a word to us all the time. almost seemed as if she was bothered that there were kids playing with legos. Even as we did leave, she didn’t say goodbye or have a nice day– a very blank stare and watched up leave. I will be calling to see who the manager of this location is. This is for our visit on 2÷13÷2014 around 2pm.
