Digital DJ’s

We hired Gordon of Digital DJs to provide sound for our daughters wedding in August 2013. Gordon was spot on with communication and collecting upfront fees. He was a preferred vendor for the venue we chose.
My daughter and her fiancée very carefully and thoughtfully planned out their reception to reflect them and their personalities with orchestrated consideration to the venue, guests, and theme.
Gordon «appeared in written communication» to have a handle on the concept. Where the problems started was fulfilling the concept — A REALLY BIG PROBLEM. Gordon didn’t know how to go off of his tried and true script.
If you like a party that reflects who you are — Gordon and Digital DJs is not your DJ.
Gordon can only perform a very tired and stale reception — the typical tired out, overly used from point A to point B scene.
When Gordon made the first mistake of the evening following announcing the wedding party — which was about 10 minutes into the reception — I went up to him and knew immediately he was way over his head. His hands were shaking so badly I thought I was going to have to give him resuscitation. By then the damage for the scene setting for the evening was done, and nothing could be done to save the bride and grooms carefully orchestrated events for the evening — in other words he totally blew it.
I learned later, Gordon was one of two DJs for this company, they worked as a team. They apparently parted company and Gordon is solo. I am assuming our event was an early entry in the single DJ mode — sadly, that was not explained to us up front. All the reviews must have been based on the team not just Gordon, because the product we received was terrible and in no way reflected the reviews.
His website was immediately changed when I emailed him following the wedding.

While legal options are available to us, we have chosen to not travel 8 hours round trip and instead to warn other brides and hosts needing DJ services. Be extra careful if you chose to use Gordon from Digital DJs, you may want to use his script becasue you will not be using yours!
