Seven Oaks Recreation is family-owned and operated and offers year-round outdoor recreation in central Iowa. Our activities include skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, canoeing, kayaking, river tubing, paintball, mountain biking and tent camping. We also provide a very nice facility that can be rented for wedding receptions, family reunions, class reunions, summer/winter retreats, birthday parties, corporate meetings/retreats, team building and other activities.

History

Established in 1997.

Seven Oaks Recreation, a family owned and operated business, opened in 1997 with snow skiing and snowboarding with the plan to diversify into «your destination for outdoor Recreation». Over the years we have added several new and exciting activities such as full service canoe, kayak and river tube floats, tent camping, paintball and 8 miles of hiking and mt. biking trails that run through over 150 areas of wooded ravines, bluffs and water crossings. With the addition of our «Lodge at Seven Oaks» in 2008 we have been able to offer our facility for weddings, receptions, reunions, business meetings and a host of other gatherings. Seven Oaks has continued to expand our offerings each and every year since 1997 and plans are being discussed to expand even more with the addition of cabins.

Meet the Manager

Joel B.

Manager

My name is Joel Bryan and I have always loved spending time in the great outdoors. I grew up in southern Iowa and attended college at UNI. I left northern Iowa in 1997 to move to Boone to open up Seven Oaks Recreation. Having the opportunity to grow Seven Oaks has always been a passion of mine. It’s been a great experience to meet so many great people that love the sports I do– ski, snowboard, snow tube, canoe, kayak river tube, tent camp and just spending time with friends and family. I am sure if you come visit Seven Oaks you will get the chance to meet me.
