Very affordable and very good hotdogs. Will recommend to eat here. Not very much to say though.

Footlong chili cheese dogs, grilled cheese, fries from a roadside red shed — what more do you need? Ok, whoopie pies are available, too. Come here between April 15 and Columbus Day weekend for a delicious snack or meal!

May not look like much, but everything is fresh and delicious and the prices are great. If you do make it there, tell the owner Gary the Bruce and Vivian highly recommend it.

I like this joint. Big menu for a small place. Be careful you don’t drive by it… it has everything from burgers to lobster rolls which are reasonably priced. I love their cheeseburger basket with fries which are awesome; personally I load the vinegar on them. They have picnic tables set out back that accommodate a fair amount of people. It’s really not a long wait to get your food so if you’re in a hurry and want a decent lunch, swing in, you won’t be disappointed.

A gem and a must stop in Boothbay Harbor. Very impressed, the burgers, fries and chili dogs were outstanding and the fish and chips and lobster rolls others were ordering looked impressive.

Excellent lobster roll. No fuss, no frills. A good grilled roll, plenty of fresh lobster, just a little mayo. Better than most competitors. Have been many times before, and definitely will go back whenever I am in BBH — every other summer.

This side of the road food stop is good for what it is. This is not your fresh, homemade tasty stop. Most of the food is frozen and fried, I would not be surprised if it’s shipped in from out of state. Too bad, this place could kill it if they used better ingredients.

Drove from Houston TX to Boothbay Harbor Me. just to eat at Dunton’s Doghouse! Well not really a vacation in Maine was also the reason but, Dunton’s is worth the drive. What a gem of a hot dog stand. Not only the hot dogs but, the rest of his menu is also fantastic! Make a point of ordering the burgers and his home made chili. All his food is made fresh and delicious. Even if you are not tired from all the seafood you should try Dunton’s you will not be disappointed.

What a gem! We asked one of the locals where they would go to have some lunch and he suggested Duttons! We had an excellent lobster roll(couldn’t NOT have lobster, being from the Midwest). Sat at the picnic tables behind the stand. Quick, fast, delicious and reasonably priced lunch. Quite the experience. Would recommend trying this place, it’s «where the locals go» and so, well… just«local», not touristy like some of the other places in town.

Had the Yellow tail sandwich and it was great. Lobster roll and chowder was also good.

It took awhile before a parking spot on the street opened up for us. My wife and I each ordered a hot dog with mustard, relish and chopped onions. These are served on a grilled New England style roll that were the appropriate size. Though we enjoyed our hot dogs while seated at a picnic table, we found them a bit more expensive and not quite as flavorful as others(Wasses) that we had on this trip.

Stopped by yesterday for a quick lunch. I had the kielbasa sandwich and my wife had a burger. Fries are very good as well as the food. They have a good choice of items on the menu. Service was quuck. Would go back again in a heartbeat.

Great little shack on the side of the road. Went twice, both times had the fish and chips. Delicious! Great food, great prices, tons of character.

We wanted quick food fast and we went to this hot dog stand based on reviews on Unilocal. It is a quirky roadside place with tables behind to sit at. My cheeseburger and curly fries hit the spot. It was fast, cheap and busy. The best part was the 70’s music being piped in from the house behind. We will be back!

Good dogs. Went with the chile(please see the spelling on the sign) cheese dog. It was very good. Well grilled dog, toasted bun, meat chili with not many beans. Staff was friendly but wasn’t trying to be anyone’s best friend. Zero atmosphere but that is to be expected. Your basically eating in someone’s front yard with their stereo playing. I would highly recommend for the hot dogs.

Yeah, you have to go. Food is simple and tasty, and if you go at an off time, it’s super peaceful. The guys running it crack me up. Very salty personalities and I’ll be back there for sure if I’m in the area…

I was out walking around and found Dunton’s Doghouse. It was not opened yet and made a point to come back. It has a wide variety from Lobster rolls, hot dogs, hamburgers, clam chowder and more. We ordered the chili cheese dogs and they were great. The chili was good. They have places around back to eat or you can take it with you.

super friendly, super cheap no-frills hotdog stand tucked around the way from the heart of boothbay village. Lobster roll ties with Kaler’s as best in town, and hot dogs are delish! A perfect snack while headed out of Boothbay! I’ll miss it!

Great food from a neat little roadside shack by the sea in Maine! What more could you ask for? I had a foot-long hot dog, and it was great. My wife said it was like a cross between a hot dog and a sausage, in a good way. Excellent fries, too. Their menu is surprisingly broad, and has some items that made me quite curious. What, exactly, is a «Roller Girl»? I’d have asked, but the guy behind the counter was EXTREMELY busy(his shirt read«Save the issues for the tissues, and the drama for your Mama»). Just to be clear: the stand is literally on the side of the street, not far from the center of Boothbay Harbor. You park on the side street, walk over to the shack, they make your order, and hand it to you. In good weather you can eat on the picnic tables in back(they have umbrellas). Otherwise you’d be smart to get your food to go. 20-oz. drinks are available from a pair of soda machines to the right of the shack. There’s a neat little store behind and to one side of the shack(I don’t know if they’re associated at all with Dunton’s) that’s worth checking out; neat knick-knacks, although some are not child-appropriate.
