History

Established in 1973.

Boring Bark for many years was a pile of barkdust behind a gas station with one front loader and one delivery truck… The Giusto family purchased the business name and phone number and the dream was born. Through family, friends, amazing employees and the community patrons we have grown into a successful business in our region.

Meet the Business Owner

Steve and Connie G.

Business Owner

Steve and Connie Giusto became residents of Boring in the 70’s. Steve and his brothers running a garbage and recycling company and Connie raising children and creating beautiful gardens at their ten acre farm.

After their children were grown and the garbage business became hugely successful, the Giusto brothers decided to sell. After a lot of thought, a couple years of rest and careful research, Steve and Connie chose to dive back in to the world of small business. Their goals included staying local, including their children and creating something close to their hearts.

Boring Bark appealed to them for the simplicity. They were buying a logo and a phone number. The rest was up to them to create. A short while after the purchase of the business they bought 5 acres on HWY 212 and the growth began.

Connie’s creativity and artistic personality created much of the beauty and whimsy you experience. While Steve’s contributions are geared towards the infrastructure and business aspect.
