We help people transform spaces into art for living. Using clean lines, strong shapes; rich, natural, reclaimed and unusual materials, we help create unique, individualized spaces that are perfect for the special people who inhabit them. Some of our specialties include renovations, from kitchens & baths to total renovations, vintage housing, and green design. We have worked on projects ranging from a half bath, to a master bedroom suite, to an office fit out for a progressive dot​.com, total renovation and condo conversion with extensive structural, mechanical, and aesthetic changes, to a 3000sf historic two family home.

History

Established in 2001.

Interior Designer Brenda Be studied fine art and design at the nationally known Program in Artisanry (formerly at BU, now at University of Mass., Dartmouth) focusing on sculpture and studio furniture. Here she learned essential design & construction techniques; explored unique materials; and honed skills working with space, color, & form.

Business Owner

Brenda’s work is as influenced by art, as it is by architecture. She often distills art directly into interior design — color inspired by Rothko, lighting à la Flavin, pattern via LeWitt. She explores world cultures, particularly Asian and Indian styles. She embraces nature — featuring pure, raw, or minimally processed materials as essential interior design ingredients. And always, she celebrates dichotomy: east/​west, old/​new, rough/​smooth, warm/​cool.
