It is always a pleasure visiting Anthem. The food is very good especially the korean bbq appetizer still craving it. The beer is cold and atmosphere is nice.

I visited with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I ordered the Salmon entrée, which was particularly good! The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. A very good place for dinner!

I recently attended a beautiful luncheon at Anthem a couple of days ago with a good friend of mine. We had the charcuterie, clam chowder, Faroe Islands salmon and desert pizza. I would recommend Anthem to anyone stopping by the area. It makes for a fantastic lunch stop to finish off the Freedom trail, because the end of the trail is at the U.S.S. Constitution, and you can catch the ferry back to the aquarium(as we did) from the ferry landing spot you would be about 3 blocks away, and should have worked up a bit of an appetite. The service, cleanliness, and atmosphere are second to none. The food is amazing and the Chowder is to die for.

After a cold day walking through Boston with my husband and another couple, we decided to warm up with a drink and appetizers at Anthem. We were seated at a high top table in the bar area. It’s a nice cozy area with a few high tops behind the bar, and wasn’t too crowded early evening on a Saturday. We each ordered a drink, and they were priced as to be expected for a Boston bar. The drink menu contained a variety of wines, beers(a nice selection of craft), and mixed drinks. I stuck with my go-to prosecco($ 10), but my husband tried the Mulled Cider which was warm, delicious and hit the spot on a cold night. This drink was house mulled hot cider, Domaine de canton, and whipped cream($ 10). We all ended up ordering this drink after seeing what his looked like! We also ordered the Really Good Fried Pickles small plate, which was served with a Chipotle aioli($ 8). These pickle chips were nice and crispy on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside. It was the perfect amount for a light snack before dinner for four of us. Our server was very attentive throughout our visit and constantly asked if we need anything else. I would like to come back for drinks again, and maybe even try some dinner.

Went to Anthem for Sunday brunch and was not too impressed. The brunch menu was small. I got the French toast and it was just OK, nothing to write home about. Very plain. I’m inky giving 3 stars because the service was very good. Food, not so much. Might be better to just stop here for a drink.

Went here for late night after dinner drinks in December. I can’t comment on the food, just the bar service and the ambiance. We loved the spot and it was good for group conversion; not too loud of music like most places around Thurs-Sun. We liked the feel of the place,(relaxed but classed-up contemporary) and the fact that there were large windows surrounding so you could see outside to Faneuil Hall. We didn’t like how it was so cold inside that we had to keep our jackets on. Drinks were good. I’d go back and try their food sometime.

It was my first trip from Los Angeles to Boston and this was our first stop! It was thanksgiving day. Not a lot of restaurants were open so it was crowded and there was a long wait. My boyfriend and I were so cold and hungry. We ordered each a clam chowder bowl, liver toast, lobster roll and few drinks. The clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had! After 5 days of trying different clam chowders this one was the BEST!!! Thick, creamy, small cut of vegetables and calms. It’s a classic!

I am visiting and couldn’t decide where to go and walked by this place. It wasn’t very busy on a Monday night and I was able to sit down quickly. Service: good but not great. I am not sure if my server was shy but she barely spoke to me. I ordered a glass of wine and I am used to most restaurants bringing me a glass of water as well or asking me if I would like one. Not sure if it’s a Boston thing not to give water or just this restaurant. I ended up asking for one when I got my meal. She also didn’t seem attentive as I had to ask her for a small plate when my flatbread arrived. Food: Clam chowder was good but I have had better. Maybe I had too high of expectations being in New England. In the cup there were about 3 tiny pieces of clams. I ordered the prosciutto flatbread. That was pretty good but I am not sure that there was prosciutto as I never tasted any and halfway through I decided to pick it a part. The figs were good with the arugula which I ended up eating all of that and skipping the flatbread. Overall it was not okay but I would never go back. There has to be better places near by with great food.

Went here for a large party outing early Sept. Rented out the second floor annex. As far as the food goes, some items were quite memorable. 1) charcuterie — beats Russell Square, Eastern Standard IMO 2) Korean BBQ drums — not quite BonChon, but worth a try 3) Faroe salmon — nicely cooked to the right temp 4) scallops — plentiful protein + fried quinoa + pork belly = what’s not to like? Going cautious with the 4 star rating — experience may have been better than the norm due to corporate event and attentive staffing.

We were being tourists in our own city, walking through downtown, the roseway, waterfront, and ended up at Faneuil Hall. We just wanted a light meal so came to Anthem for their clam chowder which was very good. We also had the charcuterie and an order of calamari. The server was tired from working the brunch shift so made a couple of mistakes but recovered quickly. The calamari was good. The charcuterie was only ok. We had to pry off the fat from the cup to get to the pâté.

I really like this restaurant. It’s very small and traditional. My favorite breakfast plate is their fruit french toast! Their stake is also great. The service is okay. Overall I highly recommend it if your passing through East Boston.

I found this place by Google searching for a «wine bar.» The wine selection is decent(found a favorite that I’ve had elsewhere). But it’s the food I’m most impressed with. I’ve been here numerous times(have taken different friends — after having initially eaten here on a crummy first date…) in the last several months. I’ve tried numerous menu items and each has been absolutely lovely. The outdoor patio option is great too — although that will be less enjoyable in the coming months. The only rub for me is that both service and food preparation weren’t as great during my daytime visit. So go for dinner. Have the scallops, and wine, and finish it with the fried Twinkie and some more wine(of the dessert kind). Thank me later.

Anthem is a very cool spot in the Faneuil(pronounced fan-u-el) Hall area of Boston. You feel like you’re in the middle of a market street, which is cool because you can sit outside and watch people go by. They’ve got some good beer selections. You’re in Boston and you should drink some local beer. The service was reaaaaally slow between getting drinks and food, so enjoy your drinks while you wait. The Faroe island salmon dish was very good. Oftentimes with salmon you’ll get it overdone, so kudos on properly cooking it. The rice cake was crunchy like a rice cake, but full of flavor and not dry. As with most things in Boston — I found the prices higher than normal. The salmon was around $ 25. Once you’re done with dinner, wander around to some fantastically fun Irish bars. Ask the staff where to go. Most spots had live music, cover bands, or if you really want to have a late night, go to a place called Hong Kong, drink a giant bowl of punch with a tiny umbrella, and karaōke til your hearts content.

+.5 for service Anthem Kitchen is one of many restaurants surrounding the Quincy Market in Downtown Boston. I’ve already had the warning from various Unilocal users and some of my friends about the lack of food quality surrounding the Fanueil Hall area, but my parents insisted on eating somewhere simply for tourists’ sake. I decided to choose Anthem, due to reviews that it has an award winning clam chowder. I reserved a table for 7:30pm, but honestly it wasn’t needed as the restaurant wasn’t even full on a Wednesday. Service was overall quite good, as we were immediately taken care of by a waitress. That’s pretty much about it in terms of what met my expectations. We ordered the«award-winning» clam chowder, Dutch Hollander mussels, lobster mac and cheese, and Faroe Island salmon. I fail to understand how the clam chowder was award winning, because there was significantly more cream soup than clams or potato. I think I only ended up with less than 10 pieces of clam and potatoes combined. Many of the mussel shells didn’t have actual mussels inside, and some of them that did had pieces so small you can easily finish in one gulp. The lobster mac and cheese was probably the highlight of my meal, but it felt more like a cream sauce instead of actual cheese, which also overwhelmed the lobster taste. The Faroe Island salmon was okay, but nothing that blew us away. As a result of our poor entrée experience, we opted against ordering desserts. I felt kinda bad for our server as she really tried to treat us well, but we were not fooled by the tourist trap setting that is the Fanueil Hall area. Not surprisingly, we will likely not return here.

I’ve walked by this place so many times and have never really given it a passing glance. My friends and I needed an easy place to meet up to eat during the convention so this was suggested. Sat inside and ordered a IPA recommended by the bartender. Wish I could remember the name, but I’m on my eternal search for an IPA that isn’t so hoppy. This was actually pretty good… Which makes forgetting the name stupid. Anyway, points to the bartender for the top notch recommendation. One of my friends tried the Tea Party and it was stellar. Definitely would get that cocktail again. Food: The table shared a margarita flatbread pizza(delicious) and I ordered the soft tacos with a side of Brussel sprouts and bacon. Two meat options in the soft tacos, I went with pork and beef and was very happy with my selection. I’ve developed a real love for Brussel sprouts flavored with bacon and this was done very well. So much so that my ultra picky friend even said they were good. When the picky eater jumps on board, you know you’ve landed a good thing. Definitely a place I’d go to again if I’m near Faneuil.

The prices are way too high for what you get in both quantity and quality. The drinks are sub par. The salads are boring and lacking ingredients(beet salad is severely lacking in actual beets and the Greek salad is terrible, just a pile of ice berg with a couple of tomatoes and olives. Mostly lettuce. I’ve gotten better Greek salads at fast food joints). Fried pickles! Who doesn’t love fried pickles?!! Well, they’re okay, but they’re chips and you pretty much get like 8. So that’s a dollar a pickle chip. Think about that. A DOLLAR A CHIP. And if you’re gonna call them REALLYGOODFRIEDPICKLES, then they better be REALLYGOOD. They’re not that great, They must make a lot of money. Service is friendly but spotty. Reception was inattentive and unfriendly. Unless you’re desperate, spend your money somewhere else.

Always really good food and love sitting outside and eating. In the winter, inside, the best tables are by the windows but it is cold by the windows, too… But overall the food is always good. Love the lobster cobb and flatbreads… didn’t think the beet salad was very good. Drinks are all really good. .love the pomaganite matini… Always a great location. love the summer and sitting outside people watching.

Ohhhh yessssss. This spot is great! Great for big groups, sports entertainment, outdoor seating, drinks and food! I ordered the Lobster Cobb Salad and it was hands down the best Cobb/lobster salad I’ve ever had. They give you a generous amount of lobster meat(that’s seasoned well) and the salad is very unique. It’s not already tossed; you toss it! Chunks of blue cheese, avocado, chopped egg, tomatoes, corn and a light dressing. I got the cucumber cocktail which was so refreshing; definitely quenched my thirst. This is a perfect spot in Faneuil hall. The server was good, could’ve been a bit more personal but hey, the food was great and the atmosphere was exceptional.

I went here for a friend’s birthday. We were in a group of about 15 and the reservation was made over a week in advance. They are pretty good for groups, as there were 2 other birthday parties going on upstairs while we were there. I understand that it was a Saturday night and that they had big parties and everything, but the service was pretty slow. It took forever for the waitress to even begin to take our drink orders, let alone our food orders. We ended up staying there so much longer than anticipated because of the slow service. That being said, I had an overall good experience. Everyone was given the correct food and drink order and my party seemed pleased with the quality of their food. The flatbreads seemed like the star of the night. The prosciutto flatbread with fig and arugula was delicious. It looked like a salad on top of a small pizza so I had to eat the arugula with a fork before getting to the good stuff. Surprisingly I was given a lot of prosciutto, however there was not as much fig as I would have liked. The margherita pizza looked delicious too, but my one comment is that I think the pizzas have too much cheese. I know… Who would say such a thing, but in this case it was true. And I’m definitely a cheese lover. Tip: get the cucumber cocktail. It was definitely worth the $ 11 price.

Very hesitant on coming here due to the mediocre ratings, but this place was great! My boyfriend and I stopped in to watch the Patriots vs Colts game after some light shopping at the Quincy Market. We were seated right away and right in front of a few TVs. Our waitress was wonderful and recommended the lychee martini and I have to say it was a damn good cocktail. We had the sweet potato appetizer, which was cheesy and delicious. I had the lobster mac and cheese which comes with a market salad. My dish was fantastic. It was surprisingly filling and creamy with a hefty chunks of lobster. My boyfriends veggie burger was nicely flavored and also pretty big. The ambiance was intimate and calm on a Sunday night. Overall, cool experience.
