AVA Back Bay

I went to AVA Back Bay this past Friday to view a few studio and one-​bedroom apartments and could not have had a better experience. I met with Lynn and she pulled up a few floor plans that matched what I was looking for, and on our way she described just some of the many amenities that AVA has to offer, including access to the gym at Avalon at Prudential (which is included in the rent) and second-​floor rooms that are available for a nightly rate when family comes to visit. I was completely sold on the first apartment that I saw, but it was great to see a few different options, and to learn more about the building along the way. I’m going to be a grad student in Boston come Fall, and there are also social events that the building throws once or twice a month, which was not a feature of any other buildings I had researched in Boston. Additionally, this building connects directly to shopping at malls nearby and a 24-​hour supermarket, as well as to the Green and Orange T Lines, so that in the cold winter months, residents don’t even have to venture outside to catch the train.
The building is kept immaculately and the views of Boston are truly beautiful. I’m moving from New York City and to say that this building is the polar opposite of where I currently live would be an understatement. All of the appliances in the kitchen are brand new, as well as in the bathroom. I have been e-​mailing back and forth with Lynn this past week as I organize each step of my move (which was given to me on a helpful print-​out that included the contact information for each party necessary and the order in which everything needed to be set up prior to my move-​in), and she has been extremely accommodating. This is my first Unilocal review of anything, so if that’s any indication of how much I’m looking forward to living in this building, then it speaks for itself.

AVA Back Bay has been an exceptionally convenient place for me to live. There’s no other place in Boston where I can step out of my apartment into shopping, dining and public transportation areas without having to brave the winter weather.
With direct indoor access to the Prudential & Copley Place malls, there’s always someplace for me to wander about to avoid winter’s cabin fever. There’s even a flagship Star market accessible without going outside.
Last but not least among the many AVA Back Bay advantages is the timely and efficient maintenance staff who offer polite and friendly service for any problem that I might have.

The leasing office is great and continues to do great work once you live here. Special shoutout to Ryan and Lynn who have made our stay so far absolutely excellent!

Excellent location and helpful building staff, but LOTS of noisy construction going on in building that the leasing office glosses over. Only 2 functioning elevators for a 26 story building which translates to long waits. Also noisy apartment renovations underway throughout the building and planned throughout next year.

I recently moved to Boston from North Carolina and I could not be happier with AVA Back Bay! I found a great studio in the building and have been so happy with the maintenance staff and AVA team. If I ever have a maintenance concern, they will come and try to fix the issue almost immediately, even if it’s almost midnight! The staff has been incredible too – they’re always friendly, willing to answer questions and make me feel at home! The building is clean, undergoing renovations (even though it looks new and up-​to-​date already) and I have had no issues with my apartment that haven’t been quickly fixed. The gym is new and has absolutely everything you could need to work out. I also love that hey accept and hold packages until you can pick them up. I don’t worry about my mail being left outside while I’m at work.
The best part of living at AVA Back Bay, besides the great staff, is the location. You can get to Fenway or North End in twenty minutes by walking. You can get to a T stop in minutes either by the library or through Prudential Center if you don’t want to go outside. You can even get to the grocery store (which is a GREAT Star Market) underground if the weather is nasty and can park or get a Zip Car in the same garage. You’re connected to Prudential Center/​Copley Place mall too, so everything you need is right there. There’s even a free bus that takes you directly to the airport only two blocks away!
The more people I meet and the more I learn about Boston, the happier I am with where I live. AVA has great apartments in an ideal location. Grab an apartment if there’s one you like-​you won’t regret it!

I just moved in to a one person studio apartment here earlier this month and I absolutely love everything about it. I got their cheaper parking option and find it is extremely convenient with getting to the lot from the street and the elevator goes straight from the garage all the way to my floor. Everyone who works here is amazing! The girls at the front and Ryan, the leasing agent, are incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you commute for work like me, you will find that the location isn’t only amazing for city life, but not even a minute away from mass pike ramps! If there is ever an issue with anything, maintenance is quick to come up and fix and is open ²⁴⁄₇. I’m planning on living here for as long as I can! I highly recommend choosing Ava Back Bay as your new home as well :)
