One of the type of facials we offer, Decleor, uses special products and exclusive massage techniques. Decleor facials include: Back Bay Signature, Aroma Lisse (Wrinkle Correcting & Firming), Aroma Lissage (Regenerating & Lifting), Harmony Sensitive Soothing Facial, Aroma C-​Brighten, Matte Purifying Facial, Back Facial, and Aromatic Exfoliation.

Dermasound is another type of facial we offer. It uses a non-​invasive devise that improves all skin conditions including visibly reducing wrinkles, evens skin tone and smooths texture, minimizes pore appearance, and improves skin hydration and nutrition. Dermasound Elite Facials include our Signature Youthful Facial, Ultimate Anti-​Aging Facial, Acne/​Rosacea Management Facial, and Pigment Control Peel Treatment.

We also provide professional waxing services for your whole body. Our aestheticians only use the highest quality wax to provide you a pain-​free experience every time. Have a special event coming up or just going out for the night? Our professional makeup services offers pre-​event consultations to event day makeup appliqué.

Anh H.

Business Owner

Anh brings her extensive 10 years of experience and passion for her clients’ skincare to her studio here, at Back Bay Skincare & Spa. Originally from Orange County in California, Anh first got inspired to join the beauty industry at a young age. She went on to train with Shiseido as a Beauty Consultant, focusing on facials and makeup appliqué. After years of perfecting her skills, she went on to represent Clé de Peau Beauté as a Freelance Facial Specialist, working with their teams at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Barneys New York.

In 2014, Anh opened her own studio in South End Boston, bringing to life a vision she had nurtured for many years. This is where she combines her vast wealth of skincare expertise with her own personal holistic approach to revitalize a client’s appearance.

Ahn at Back Bay Skincare & Spa is a true super star. She is always kind, cheerful and consummately professional. If you are looking for a clean, painless Brazilian wax — Ahn is the woman to see in the neighborhood. There is no other Skincare Spa for me in Boston. Thank you Ahn!

I gave them 5 stars because of the tremendous customer service leading up to and during my visit as well as the superb facial I received. They called me the day before my appointment which I appreciated because I had almost forgotten about it! The woman at the front desk who greeted me was very pleasant and offered me a drink – I had some delicious green tea :-) Melissa introduced herself as the woman who would give me the facial. I have very sensitive skin and after she analyzed my face she decided to go with the chocolate facial because, as I was told, it would provide moisture. I found this very helpful and informative as I know very little about skin. She also gave me a nice massage which was quite enjoyable. I received the facial as a gift but I will definitely return to see her because she was friendly and thorough in her work. Almost forgot… there was visitor parking directly in front of the spa which is not something I typically find in the South End.

Ann is the best! She analyses your skin and listens to your needs, plus having a great personality really helps make anyone comfortable. I just moved to Boston from Cali and my skin has not handled the change well. I really needed a facial last night and I am so glad they were the only spa open after 4pm on a Saturday. My skin felt like new right away, and I was so relaxed… it was blissful and effective. Will definitely come back to see Ann.

First time here and Ahn helped me with my acne treatment. She was very knowledgeable, gentle, and comforting. I also got to try a few samples! She gave me a plan of what products would be best for me. Definitely coming back!!! You should try it out for yourself! Honestly, pricings not back at all for all the products and the whole process of things used! Thanks Ahn!

This is the BEST place in Boston for a facial. The nicest people, great products and incredibly relaxing facial. My sister and I both got the back bay signature facial on a Saturday. We were so lucky to find it and definitely will be back. I will absolutely be recommending back bay spa to friends and can’t wait to return :)

What a wonderful experience! I had a facial today and i think this is the best facial that I’ve had in a long time. The prices are very reasonable, the products are very excellent and Anh is just fantastic. So if you are visiting Boston (like myself) or living here and you have an hour to spare… treat yourself! I will be back to Boston just to have a facial.

Went yesterday, july 19, for a full leg wax. As other reviewers said, Anh is a professional. She took her time to make sure each hair was gone, letting me know exactly what she was doing and when. It was so relaxing, I nearly fell asleep. Both her and the receptionist were very sweet and friendly. Great service! The prices are affordable as well.

I passed by Back Bay Skincare & Spa on the way back from a brunch yesterday. Since my face is starting to flake, I decided to call them for an appointment. Fortunately, Anh was able to fit me in for a last minute appointment on a Sunday. I was very impressed with how clean and professional the spa was. The space was modern but not pretentious. Even though I came in for the last slot of the appointment of the day, Anh took her time to wax my eyebrow and did my facial, she provided high quality service and did not seem to rush at all. She went above and beyond and finished my facial in 2 hours rather than the allocated 1 hour. During the facial, I appreciated that Anh explained what she will be doing and gave me heads up of the temperature. Anh was detailed oriented, firm during extraction and yet gentle at the same time. Her not pressuring me to buy anything was a plus as well! The price for the facial was also reasonable. Needless to say, I was so impressed that I immediately scheduled for the next appointment. Oh, did I mention they open late until 8 pm during weekday and open on Sunday?!? I work 9 – 6 during weekdays and I truly appreciate the flexibility of being able to come during weekday or on a Sunday. I am so glad I found Back Bay Skincare & Spa and rest assured I will be a long-​term customer!

I have struggled with controlling skin breakouts and acne for years and was still having a hard time as a young adult. I have tried face wash after face wash, prescription creams, and even oral prescription medications. Nothing worked. I decided to try facials as a last ditch effort. I have never gotten a facial or skin treatment before so I was going in totally blind. I found Back Bay Skincare and Spa through Unilocal and it was the best thing I have ever done. Anh really took the time to look at my skin and decide the best treatment and was easily able to explain everything she was doing and why. I purchased a skin care line from the spa and when I came back for my second treatment I had some concerns about the products and how they reacted with my skin. There was absolutely no hesitation from Ahn to offer me a full refund on the products (despite the fact that some were half gone). I purchased some different products and Ahn changed some treatments based on her assessment of my skin and I could not be more ecstatic with the results. My skin has never looked this good. I get compliments from my family and friends now on what a change they see. Not only is Ahn wonderful, but so is the rest of her staff. Every single person I have spoken with, either on the phone or in person, has been so sweet and accommodating. They truly help make this an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable experience. This is the best money I have ever spent. I’ll be a customer for life.

It’s been hard for me to find a good, reliable spot to go to for waxing services in the south end and I am so excited to say that I’ve found it! Anh brings years of experience to the table. She is a warm, highly professional aesthetician. The spa is extremely clean and hygienic, and the prices are affordable. She makes you feel comfortable and always checks in to make sure you’re doing okay and that the wax temperature is not too hot.
She does a great brow — I absolutely loved mine! I will definitely be going back for additional services in the future. This spa is conveniently located 5 minutes walking distance from the mass ave orange line. I totally left feeling relaxed and great! Highly recommend this spa :)

After some frigid months here in Boston, my face was in dire need of a facial. I’ve previously only gone to Cle de Peau at Barneys for facials, and have been meaning to try out Back Bay Spa’s facials. I decided to do the Dermasound facial. I’m absolutely thrilled with the results! Anh is a serious master at her craft. She is incredibly nice and knowledgable and directs you through the entire the process. I’ve been getting so many compliments on my skin at work. Definitely going to come here from now on for all of my skin needs.

Love this spa! The spa has been opened for about 3 months and I have been there 3 times already for facials and waxing. I received a warm greeting as soon as I stepped into spa. This place is clean, neat and comfortable. The owner, Ahn, performed all of the treatments I had in a professional and hygienic manner, with a high degree of work ethics, enthusiasm and proficient skills. She would inform me about certain part of a facial may be tingly, or when you may feel warm or cool, for which I appreciate. I did not feel rushed at all in any of the services i had, which made my visits enjoyable and relaxing.
I definitely have found a place that I can trust with facials. The things that I like about this place include, but not limited to, 1) honesty, 2) skills, 3) quality products and equipment, 4) consistency, 5) no pressure to make additional purchases but they are there for you if you need help, 6) the heated bed is a plus.
I had their Back Bay Signature facial (the longer duration one), which was truly relaxing. It started with a back massage followed by an aromatic, relaxing facial. Love the aroma of the products — smells natural. The facial massage was excellent. My skin felt hydrated and rejuvenated and was glowing after the treatment.
I also had their Signature Youth facial twice. This facial uses an ultrasonic type of equipment that cleanse and exfoliate, massage and penetrate serums into the skin. Anh customized the products suitable for me. My skin felt firmer, glowing, with improvements on fine lines and skin tone after the facial. I literally went up to 2 weeks without the need to use foundation or tinted moisturizer.
Waxing was done hygienically and thoroughly. The products they used were quite good, especially less pain and no in-​grown hair with proper care.
I highly recommend Back Bay Skincare and Spa. Will definitely go back for more treatments.

Love this place! Anh, the owner, is a very skilled Esthetican in addition to being a very sweet, professional and gentle to the touch person. I went in with really awful skin, the worst I have had in a long time. Within one hour, I got a relaxing, stimulating facial with the dermasound ultrasonic cleanser, making my skin feel new and refreshed! I also left with skin care products that I NEEDED, not the most expensive thing on the self. Anh and her employees care about their clients and are there for them, not to make money. I would recommend this place to people of all ages and gender due to the employees, neighborhood yet classy style and clean atmosphere.

Such a great spot! The spa itself was in a great location, absolutely spotless, really modern and very relaxing. I went in for a lip wax and Taylor did such a great job… no redness or anything! Definitely going back in to check out more of the makeup line too.
