We specialize in Craft Beers, Niche Wines and Alcohol. We have one of the most extensive selections of Beer [especially], wine and hard alcohol. We are also the only store in the area that Delivers every day [except one-St.Patrick’s parade day]. Our staff has a combined 75(+) years experience in the alcohol industry and we pride ourselves on educating our customers to help aid them in their selection process of products and knowledge about the products. We also do not pamper or cater to rude, ignorant or people who feel they are entitled.

You are not a Special Snowflake! We treat every customer the same, with dignity and respect– Until you act disrespectful, rude, spoiled, entitled or STUPID. History

Established in 1933.

Bayview Liquors aka New Bayview Liquors (former name) has been around since the end of prohibition. Established as both a retail package store and a distribution company Bayview has been a staple of South Boston offering delivery to both businesses and residences since 1933. During the early 40s & 50s [when stores were closed on Sundays] this location was legendary for having poker games that ran from late Saturday night until Early Monday morning. During the «Whitey Bulger Era» this store was run by bookies associated with the Mobster. During the mid 80s the store was purchased by a retired police officer severing mob ties. Current ownership has been in place since the fall of 2000. Bayview was used in the movie «The Town» by local actor/​director/​celebrity Ben Affleck in 2010 (renamed Charlsetown Liquors for the film). Bayview still remains a staple in South Boston for the Best selection at reasonable [local] prices and is still the only store that delivers daily.

Raised across town in Brighton, I am a local product having graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture. After a short stint in Architecture I was introduced to the world of craft beers. Within a few years I had left that profession for the much more enjoyable and less stressed life of Beer Buying for Bayview. Since then I have become engulfed in very aspect of the business from soup to nuts. I have always stressed the importance of customer education without pampering. It is my true belief that an educated customer is not only good for business but also good for their palettes. I continue to purchase Beer for the store along with making suggestions for wine and alcohol brands as my palette for better products [at reasonable prices] grows.
