I contacted BNY Mellon because a trustee to trustee check from BNY Mellon to a second account was never deposited. After many phone calls and hours on the phone over several weeks, I finally got a copy of the check, and no further help from BNY Mellon. I contacted the bank listed on the back of the check to which the check was deposited (a third bank). A very nice representative from the third party bank explained the process and called BNY Mellon with me to walk BNY through the process of signing an affidavit of forgery. I was finally sent the form to begin a fraud case after 2 months and only because of the help from another bank. I still have not received my funds.
