This place is fantastic! Very low key, very short wait, and my back still feels great 6 months after moving out of Boston.

Great professional office. Dr. Ellis is a very knowledgable physician and he has helped significantly with my back when others have failed to do so. Highly recommended!

After suffering from pretty serious headaches for years, and getting zero help from my physician («try some Claritan» he prescribed me for headaches) I gave Boston Chiropractic a try. I’ve been a patient there for years now, and I love it.
The staff is great and have gone out of their way for me plenty of times. Scheduling an appointment is never difficult. I’ve been coming here long enough to have seen 4 different doctors and they’ve all been excellent. If a handful of 20 minute visits can improve your entire quality of life you’d be crazy not to do it, and this is the place to go.

Dr. Ellis is great and has helped me with my back significantly! I was in so much pain that it hurt to walk at times and he really helped assess the problem and make a difference!
Also, Dr. Chartoff gave me a list of chiropractors he recommended in LA since I will be living there for part of the summer.
They are able to fit you in without a problem and everyone here has been very nice. I would definitely recommend them!

I frequently read Unilocal reviews, but I’ve never been compelled to write one before now. My experience at Boston Chiropractic Associates has been very different than a lot of the other reviewers. I have been to a handful of chiropractors over the years and I can confidently say this is the worst one I’ve been to. They are strictly there to shuffle patients in and out as fast as they can and collect the insurance payments. As a medical professional myself, I understand that it is a business and they need to make a living. But, they also need to provide their services in a professional manner and up to the standard of care.
A brief review of my experience here: At my first appointment the chiropractor (the front desk lady always called him Scott, I’m not sure if this is Dr Rosner, and I don’t recall him ever introducing himself) gave me a quick evaluation of symptoms, medical history, and range of motion. Essentially I was there for standard neck and back stiffness/​pain from sitting all day. My treatment plan included a weekly visit for 4 weeks, and then a reevaluation at the end of this period. We started treatment that day. I received electro-​stimulation of my back for 10min (really the only thing that made me feel better), followed by exactly 1 crack of my upper back (i lay face down and he pushes on it), and 2 cracks of my neck (turned my neck to each side) – things that I could easily just do for myself. I went in for my follow up visits each week. Each week he did exactly the same thing, even if I told him different things were bothering me (my lower back, hip, knees, etc). Same 3 cracks and 10 min of electrostimulation on my upper back every time. He never reevaluated after my 4 weeks was up. After each apt he just shuffled me out to the waiting room and got my signed up to come in again the next week. I felt awkward asking about it, so eventually after 6 or 7 weeks I just ended up canceling my apt and ignored all their calls and emails to get me back in.
What also bothered me about the office was they’d book multiple pts for the same time slot. So 3 or 4 people could be there at once. He had a couple tables side by side with just some cubicle partitions between them. Personally I just felt this was way too out in the open. You could even hear everything that was going on in the office and treatment spaces from the waiting room (private pt conversations, etc).
Finally, when I got my insurance statements, I could not believe what BCA was charging! Everytime I went in for a visit, they’d charge for 3 or 4 different things – a «doctors visit», and 2 or 3 charges for «physiotherapy» (1 of these was the electrostimulation and the rest for the for cracks). It would add up to A LOT of money – somewhere close to $ 200 if I remember correctly. Luckily the insurance covered it all, but I can’t imagine people being able to pay that each week if their insurance didn’t cover it. Unless maybe the people without chiro benefits don’t get all those charges… hmmm.
All in all, I’d say look elsewhere. This guy doesn’t really know what he’s doing and just wants your money.

I got off a plane from my home in San Francisco and could hardly walk – as it turns out my fibula had slightly dislodged – and got in to see Dr Rosner (sp?) with no notice. He fixed my knee in about 15 minutes. I was initially a little dubious since it still hurt a lot when I left but by the next day I was virtually back to normal. So, five stars for fitting me in and fixing the problem.

I have been going to Boston Chiropractic for many years now, and I am thankful to have discovered them.
I am 57 and I drive for a living. Between their treatments and my love of swimming, my back is in better shape
than a lot of people my age. I have always liked the professional atmosphere of the office, and occasionally
when I have had to cancell an appointment, they have had no problem recheduling me.

These guys squeezed me in unscheduled during a long layover between Boston and LA, and let me tell you: if I would have had to sit in that cramped airplane seat without getting straightened out I would have been in indescribable hell.
I called in basically begging for help saying I had about a 3 hour window. They got me in right away. Took a cab from the airport, the boys did their thing, and I was out of there in 25 mins, bless their hearts.
Good guys, I’ve been to many a chiro and in my book they’re A-​OK. Give em some love, Boston!

This is a great chiropractic office — it is really, really fantastic. This is the office of a medical professional, period. I’ve been to chiropractors who operate on a pleasure-​cracks for money business plan and those hippy-​docs that advocate chiropractic so you don’t have to vaccinate your kids. Those are the stereotypical bad chiropractors, and this is not one of them.
I’ve been going to Dr. Rosner for about a month now. I’m a dental student and it’s been doing a number on my back — running also aggravates my knee. Dr. Rosner knows what he’s doing and does it well. On our first appointment he went through a whole exam and a bunch of tests with me to identify the problems, then formed a treatment plan. He showed me stretches that should help with my musculoskeletal problems, and I practice these at home now. Our normal visits entail a discussion of progress over the past week, electrical stimulation (pads that contract the muscles in my back), correction for subluxation («cracking»), and massage on my knee. It’s quick, painless, and I feel great when I leave — it feels like I’ve lost ten pounds and grew two inches, my back feels so much better.
As far a being a business, that aspect is great too. They are good about scheduling and send you an automated reminder email. They take a lot of different insurance providers and I just pay my $ 10 copay each week. They are located in the Steinway piano building on the 4^th floor right off the Common near Emerson — definitely check them out if you’re in pain!

Long story short: I hurt my back in 2011 right before Thanksgiving and ended up going to the ER. They treated me with lots of pills and eventually the pain got better but it was only a matter of time before the pain came back. Since then, I’ve been having on and off pain in my lower back and down my leg and I always just felt like it was something I had to live with. I was really skeptical about Chiropractic but the pain got so bad at the end of this past summer that I was having trouble walking normally. I tried another chiropractor that I found on Unilocal and was immediately turned off by the office and the doctor’s attitude towards my pain and my recovery process. I work in the performing arts and a friend of mine who is also a performer suggested this place and said that Dr. Scott had helped her with something similar. So I called them up for an appointment. They gave me a really good deal since my insurance doesn’t cover it and my budget is really limited. I started out a couple times a week and slowly moved down to once every 3 weeks. Which is where I am now. Will continue to go back. Really nice people and nice location too.

They have been my chiropractor for several years. It is a small cozy office and not overly stuffy or corporate feeling like other medical offices. They are really good listeners and are very helpful in offering solutions you can do on your own in addition to the adjustments done in a session.

I have been going to Boston Chiropractic Associates for several years now, and my most recent visit made me remember why I chose them in the first place. I am pregnant and have terrible sciatica, and they are always able to fit me in at my moment of need. I came in barely able to move, and I left feeling like I could join the Rockettes on stage.
The staff is kind and patient, and they don’t rush you through the process. The doctor really takes the time to assess your injury or pain, as well as explain what he thinks is going on, and the best treatments for it. It’s not just the in-​crack-​out approach that you get with some chiropractors.
The location is convenient (near the Boston Common), and I feel like every time I go in, I leave feeling 10x better than I did. Admittedly, I wait until my back is a mess before going in these days, but my last visit made me realize that going back to routine maintenance visits is the best way to prevent getting to that point.
I have seen 3 of the docs here and they are all fantastic.

Well I didn’t realize Dr. Oliver is not there anymore. Not the same. I was new to Boston a couple years ago and when I woke up with a pain in my neck I was able to get in same day to see Dr. Oliver. I don’t have health insurance (other than commonwealth care) so my first visit was $ 65, each visit after was $ 45. Not too bad. So I went a few times and it was very helpful. So lucky for me I didn’t need to go for the next 2 years. Well last week I woke up again with terrible pain in my neck, so I call up and made another same day appointment. Everything is good right. Wrong!
I get to the offices and the same very pleasant and friendly receptionist is there, we chat, she tells me I’m going to see a different Dr. so I need to refill out my medical history chart. Ok, I’m thinking no big deal, but I’m a little curious so I ask her «how much is it going to cost». Because I am assuming that since I’m a loyal customer it is still going to be $ 45. She says the doctor will tell you before you leave. Well I’m already there, so I get the adjustment. I come out and they charge me the $ 65 again, like I was a new client! That’s just not cool. If I’m loyal enough to come back after 2 years (sorry I wasn’t sick or injured in that time) I should still be treated as a repeat customer not a NEW one, so you could have collected hundreds of dollars from me over the next few years, instead you were greedy and for $ 20, now I will never be back. By the way, they did nothing to warrant the extra $ 20, no long medical history overview, in fact I chatted less with this new Dr. than I would have with Dr. Oliver on a regular visit.
On top of that, unfortunately my neck problem is now WORSE than before I got adjusted.

I bought several vouchers from Tippr worth $ 170 each. I scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Michael Chartoff. I arrived 10 minutes early to fill in all the paperwork.
When I mentioned the vouchers, I started feeling I get the second-​class citizen treatment. After waiting another 20 minutes, another customer came in and was seen immediately, while I was still told to wait. Another 20 minutes later I decided to bail out and leave, after a total wait of 45 minutes in the office.
While I cannot comment on doctor’s services, I can only say the office did not look very clean, the doctor was dressed like he just came off the street, with muddy shoes and all.
I would not seek services from this place in the future or recommend to others.
Also, while the voucher claimed to be worth $ 170, I was told it was only good for 1 visit (a $ 45 value). Caveat emptor.

Dr. Oliver has helped me with my back pain, and given me the tools to live without back pain. I’ve gone to other chiropractors in the past, and although they were helpful, they seemed to be only short term solutions. Dr. Oliver provides adjustments, and advice that help with the long term care for my back. The Boston Chiropractic Associates office is friendly, and you never have long waits to see the doctor.

I’ve been going to the chiropractor for over 4 years now. I’m pretty well settled with my chiropractor that’s real close to home, but I had a great experience when I went to see Dr. Oliver.
My boss recommended that I go see him. I’ll spare you the details of my condition, but I have a chronic neck thing and every once in a while my neck will sort of… pop out of place and I won’t be able to move it.
A few months ago this happened on a Tuesday, which happens to be the same day my chiropractor is closed. So, I took my bosses’ advice and paid them a visit. It was great. He was helpful did a pretty good adjustment and then had a follow up visit to check on it. He was friendly, knew what he was talking about and didn’t try to force me to change doctors since he knew I was happy with my own.
If I move closer to Boston, I’ll surely switch over to Dr. Oliver.

This was my first back adjustment and I have never felt better! The doctors are professional and easy going… which is a huge plus – it could have been a totally uncomfortable and intimidating experience, but it wasn’t. I saw Dr. Oliver and got a lesson in chiropractics before we started the procedures… he calmly talked me through every movement, adjustment etc. even the scary crazy loud CRACK that comes along with getting your neck adjusted!!!
I left feeling taller and more flexible… I think I’m addicted:)
