It’s hard to walk into Boston Smoke Shop on Newbury and not make friends. Marc and Alfie are awesome, the customer service in there is amazing! Their prices are more than reasonable and they’re always willing to cut a deal and give you something a little extra.
Yesterday I walked in with my vape that had just run out of charge, and walked out with three brand new fully charged batteries; I was given three brand new fully charged batteries JUST so I could vape while walking on Newbury St.
These guys truly care and love what they do; both of these things are obvious as soon as you walk into the store. I have at least ten vape shops within a three mile radius from my house, but won’t go anywhere but here. They’re honest, they’ll tell you if something sucks, and then tell you if something is good. It’s not like every other smoke shop where they just try to sell you the most expensive stuff. They just want you to walk out happy, and walk out without paying an arm and a leg.
I just felt I owed it to them for being awesome to write this long ass review. Shout outs to Marc and Alfie and the rest of the guys there. Cheers guys.

Marc is the mann went there to get a unregulated box mod. Went home box mod didnt work, turns out to be a manufacture error. Marc caught on to that error when i returned the next day. I was so happy when i left. If you dont know what you lookin for or whats wrong head to this shop and ask for marc, guy def knows his stuff

I’ve been going to Boston Smoke Shop while I’ve been transitioning from smoker to a vapor! I had a great experience there last week! I was fed-​up with my vape-​tank… And I decided to try the builds! This is where you build your own contraption! If it wasn’t for Rev I wouldn’t have had the patience to sit and learn how to build my own vape thingy! hahaha… thanks Rev and thank you Boston Smoke Shop for having him on STAFF!

Came in to buy a hobo rda and ran into some problems with the Allen keys at the top. Came back in the next day and mark hooked me up. Switched out my rda and gave a beautiful clapton coil build. Very knowledgeable about vaping and great customer service.

Most of the time when you go to a smoke shop the seller has no idea what they’re talking about, they just want to make the sale. You ask questions and they say the same thing about each product.
But this one I’m glad I went into it with my fiancé. For awhile my fiancé has been looking for a good vape, so for about 10 minutes my boyfriend and the manager spoke, going back and forth with questions and the manager Ralphy was great. He really cared about what my fiancé wanted and took a good amount of time with us and we ended up buying a vape.
Oh yeah did I mention we bought 2 things, 1 a pipe and he gave it to me for 50% off. And the vape he took 20% off for me. I think that was great. Nobody ever gives deals unless you’re super friendly and honest so that makes us feel good.
I would come back here no matter what. I recommend this place to anyone whose looking for a smoke shop. Especially if you have questions they will answer them for you with care.

I go to this place because the staff is the Amazing and very knowledgeable, Especially Rev! If their is a problem with your vape, they will do anything they can to fix it!
Other shops in the area are not as nice, I have always been pleased with their staff.

Went to buy a gift here, they have a very wide selection of goods and the staff is for the most part helpful.
However, I get the feeling that they take returns and put them directly back onto the shelf.
They have a very hostile attitude towards people calling on the phone — this may be due to rampant price checking and competition with online stores, but I suspect the owner would be disappointed to hear how customers are being treated.
Prices are at or above MSRP and they offer absolutely no discounts (staff told me they «never have sales» or offer cash discounts.)
I would give 4 stars but the lady in front of me was treated really poorly while I waited in line to purchase and while she might not Unilocal,I had to average my 4 star experience with her 2 star. She had purchased something (a battery) that was obviously manufacture defective (leaking still sealed in the box) and they wouldn’t exchange a purchase made the evening before.

Beautiful spacious place… worth the visit if you are a smoker… has a club atmosphere, real cool

This is the best smoke shop I’ve visited in the Boston area in all of my years living here. The store was clean, well lit and organized. There is a huge selection of glass, hookahs, and tobaccos. The vape section is one of the best I’ve seen (in a non vaping specialty store) and the e-​juice I purchased was top notch. The service was friendly and informative. I will definitely be coming back as soon as possible!

I’ve frequented Boston Smoke Shop at least 30 times since its opening and have never had an issue. Recently I purchased a mechanical mod from them, brought it home, attempted to get it to function and found that I couldn’t get it to fire with the proper battery in. I made pin adjustments to see if I could find the fit for the battery but to no avail.
I brought the item into the store, asking for the manager to take a look and see if I received a faulty unit. I told him that if that were the case, I’d dispute the charge with my CC company, at which point he immediately said he would «dispute back» because they never sell faulty units. I asked for him to simply take a look and see if he would be able to help, as I couldn’t figure out the problem. He disassembled the unit, saw that two magnets were out place at which point began calling me a «liar» consistently. I stood by my word that I did not adjust the magnets in any way and was not able to get it to function. He declined to respond to my inquiries for help saying that I «threatened him» and said «im extremely angry at you for being a liar».
I told him that he could have easily shown me the problem and how to fix it, and that would’ve been satisfactory, however, he consistently belittled me for not being able to «understand mech mods» and that I clearly lied about the product not working. I told him that his attitude was not appropriate for the case at hand, but he raised his voice and said that he doesn’t deal with liars and that he would no longer help me.
This is the most unfortunate experience I’ve had at this store, one that will ensure that I never go back. I stayed true in my side of the story, but was refused help on the grounds that I was a liar. I continued to ask how to ensure the unit could work properly, at which point he walked away and ignored me.
I learned my lesson today shopping for a mech mod at a smoke shop. I will look elsewhere for a store with a decent return policy and actually helpful employees.

Bought two vision spinners from this place, and within weeks the inside threads of the battery were compeltely stripped. The first time, I figured it was something I did wrong, and bought a new one — and the same thing happened.
I called and asked if I could get it exchanged, but the person over the phone told me that I couldn’t get a refund or exchange.
I called the company that makes the battery, and they said that most likely the ecig Vision Spinner II was a fake. I spent a lot of money on these things, and I feel like I was robbed.

This place is cool. They have a lot to look at here. I went there to get some ejuice. They had plenty there. Many different flavors. They have some good vape pens there too.
Then I turned around and looked at all the hookas and bongs. They have plenty to look at. Good selection but I never really looked at any of the prices. If you look hard enough you are going to find something that you like.
What sucks about it is that you can’t vape in the store. It is not their fault cause the city prevents them from doing it. If they could this place would be amazing.

I think they were just ironing out their kinks during my first review. Not such a bad spot now, esp in comparison to the hempest down the street…

The product I bought here was confirmed fake by the glass company (RooR). Although the staff member I dealt with was nice, I will never purchase another item from this store.

Great place. Good prices and awesome selection. Very helpful staff too. I just found them from Unilocal and was very happy I did. You can get all sorts of good stuff there for your head.

place is dope, lots of glass, and even some really high end pieces like hit man, toro, liquid science. not a huge selection of heady glass. but what selection they do have is RAD! kinda pricey, but you might be able to talk em down a few bucks here n there. great staff who obviously know their products. SICK hookah selection and lots of shisha. try to stay away from most of the small bongs. cheap cheap glass. if it has green or blue glass on the rim or perc then don’t buy! otherwise a great place

So this is a legitimate smoke/​head shop located right next to Newbury Comics. Huge inventory of pipes and accessories. Decent amount of vape equipment and supplies as well, the owner and the kids who work there are decent and the young man who helped me pick out a new atomizer was a big help. If your into or new to vaping or/​and enjoying herb, check this place out.

Great staff — Great selection of tanks, juices, mods and rda’s (all clones) They even have 26 650 mods and drippers! Dylan that works there knows his sh*t too!

I go here for the vaporizer coils and e-​juice. The variety of e-​juice at this shop is one of the best around. Considering the location of this shop, the prices are not too outrageous. I will agree with Em B. that the shop could moonlight as a nightclub. It is very well set up. I am not sure if the staff has become more knowledgeable about Kangertech, Vision Spinners, and other vaporizers because I have not been there in a little while. The salesperson I spoke to seemed confused when I started asking questions about my vapor kit. Maybe they are using their own bongs or something but I have been to other shops whose staff was much more educated on the products they sell.

This smoke shop has the most extensive list of everything you could possibly need. From hookahs to bongs, bowls, grinders, scales, shisha, vaporizers, ejuice, ashtrays; just EVERYTHING.
The interior is amazing. It’s downstairs on Newbury Street, extremely accessible. Once you walk down the stairs it’s a huge space with decorative rasta walls, with photography of people smoking. In the front on the left, is the vaporizer and ejuice section. The entire right side is all glass pieces, bowls, bongs, and hookah towards the back. In the very back there are comfortable red leather couches and a huge 80″ tv which sits next to a wall size Bob Marley picture.
When it comes to quantity, they definitely have more product than any other shop I’ve seen. In addition, they have high quality products for very reasonable prices. Each product was handpicked with so many varieties and flavors. Also they have a ton of vape juices, and the best brand names. This business is definitely worth your time to stop by, and has everything any smoker may need. From small, simple products to top of the line, Boston Smoke Shop came in with a bang, and I’m sure it’s here not only to stay, but expand.
