I came here because of the Unilocal reviews and I read and I was so impressed. When I walked in I was nervous because there were a lot of people waiting but the woman threading was efficient and the line moved quickly. She mentioned that there are usually two people working but one called out. She handled the stress so well and although she was moving the line along quickly I felt like when it was my turn she was completely focused on me. I LOVE how my brows came out– this is definitely my new place!

This had been my first time getting my eyebrows threaded at all and it was amazing! She knew what she was doing and kept the shape that I had showed her in a picture. I am definitely going again!

I normally get my eyebrows waxed at a very high end spa, but turns out the person I normally see was not available so I decided to give somewhere else a try after my friend told me one of her friends came out with her eyebrows on «fleek,» as they would say.
This place was right in downtown which was easy to get to but this place was upstairs and very hard to find but well worth it.
As soon as I got in someone was able to take me right after. Both the ladies there were super nice and very outgoing. This is now my new place and will never go back to waxing… threading all the way. and this was also my very first time getting my brows threaded as well. Little to no pain. I don’t remember her name but it started with an A.
Loved the fact that they take credit cards and they are able to put tip on the cc as well with no additional fee and the lady whom did them were able to get the full amount without letting tax take it! :)

I went for the first time last night after months of seeing this place out the window of BSC at downtown crossing and I really love what Akriti did with my eyebrows. She was very quick, which was great because I have sensitive skin, so the pain was relatively minimal. She shaped them to look very natural and clean. I’m a victim of the late 90’s over tweezing skinny eyebrow trend, so I have a bald spot on my right brow, but you can’t even tell it’s there right now. I love getting my eyebrows threaded versus waxing or tweezing, but I’m super lazy about upkeep. However, the ladies here are so nice and skilled that I feel like this is a quick and easy habit to stay regular with. Definitely recommend this over nearby grooming locations like the brow bar in Macy’s. So glad I found this!

So excited to have found this place, so close to work. Glad they listen and pay attention to how my eyebrows grow so they can grow as thick as possible while still shapely.

I have been going to this threading place for 3 months now. The 2^nd time I went, I really liked the woman, very personable! This time, the woman wasn’t so personable. But they equally do an amazing job!

Brows. Let’s talk about brows.
I recently moved back to Boston and was in a bit of a panic not having a go-​to place to take care of those pesky suckers. I ended up going to a place in Brookline (European Wax Center) because they were open on Sunday and was super unhappy with the experience (and the four weeks after of uneven brows with an unusually large gap between the two #muchfail). So, as you can imagine I was a little terrified finding another place, but did my research and found this gem of a studio near my office. The staff were helpful, incredibly quick, and most importantly, they made my brow game (as the kids say these days) «on fleek» — I was really impressed with how well they were able to shape my brows in just one visit (especially after my disastrous waxing experience just a few weeks earlier). If you’re looking for a new place to keep your brows under control and, as an added bonus, is conveniently located downtown, go here!

If you go ask for Ranju, she is the best

ranju is amazing… Absolutely a perfectionist. I am very very picky with who does my eyebrows. I gave it a shot, and she WOW’d me.

Small space with just 2 chairs and a couch for seating. The location can be a bit hard to find since it’s on the second floor of the Jewelry Exchange building.
Came here around 5PM on a Saturday with no wait. No complaints on the service. The two people working were super friendly. $ 15 seemed a little higher than average for just a brow service, but I had purchased a $ 10 for $ 15 Groupon, so gave it a shot. There are other eyebrow threading places closer to where I live, but if I’m in the area, I would come here again!

These gals are great! Incredibly friendly, moderate priced, and really understand each persons optimal eyebrow – cheesy, I know, but it’s super important.
I came here with my friend Shannon who had been coming here for a while she has natural, thinner eyebrows (think Nord meets Irish) while mine are thick and long (typical Latin). These ladies managed to absolutely rock it!!!
Without me having to ask, they knew to do a basic clean up, not going to thin, maintaining the shape, and even trimming my eyebrows (sad, but necessary!)
I would definitely recommend them to anyone living in the Brighton/​Allston/​Newton area. It’s a much better alternative to the expensive beauty bars around town.

I’ve been to Boston Threading in their Brighton location and this downtown location, for a total of 4 times. Each time I come out happy with cleaned up and sharp eyebrows. I have a slight scar on one eyebrow and they never have trouble accommodating for it. Their aloe lotion at the end is a great touch. All the ladies I have had were great, so I trust this place each time I go in.
They have deals on groupon $ 10 for $ 15 and on Unilocal.The place seems very popular, even on a weekday, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. The ladies are so friendly and detailed. Absolutely deserve their 5 star review.

I’m going to be honest, my brows were BAD, and it was after 7pm so I thought no way was I going to find a place. But I was wrong, not only did I find a place, I found a great place!
The place was clean and bright, service was quick, both the girls there were extremely friendly, and my brows look great! Will definitely be back

I am so happy I found Boston Threading. My friend highly recommended this place and her eyebrows are so nice all the time. A few years ago, I had a bad experience with threading my eyebrows (not at Boston Threading) so I was really hesitant to try it again. I’ve been tweezing and trimming my own eyebrows for a while and they were in desperate need of help. I saw a Groupon for $ 10 for $ 15 so I gave it a shot.
I stopped by around noon on a Saturday and there were 3 – 4 people waiting. The space is pretty small but very clean and organized. The threading only took a few minutes and she was very friendly and skilled. I’ve never been so happy with my eyebrows and I will definitely be back.

Eyebrows were way too thin, the wait was epic long on a Friday afternoon, and the Threading place in Back Bay on Newbury St. that I normally go to is much better. I landed here due to Unilocal (e’hem), because there were 17 positive reviews. However she did my eye brows way too thin and they were packed. I waited longer than I ever have before and everyone there was yapping on their phones, irritated with the wait (myself included) or yapping to the eyebrows lady as they got their eyebrows done.
Won’t be back, it’s worth the walk all the way down Newbury to get higher quality thread.

This place was AMAZING. Quick, kind, and affordable. My brows never looked so good.
I went today to treat myself, and I’m so glad that I did. Ranju was sweet and considerate, and she gave me advice about how to refine my eyebrow game (who even knew?).
It was less painful than tweezing, and much cleaner, faster, and with extremely better results. I went to cheer myself up with some superfluous self-​giving, and after my appointment, I knew I would be back — I’ve seen the error of my ways, and my brows are thanking me.

My selfishness to keep walk-​ins, short wait times and time to chitchat with the ladies possible, has been overridden by my desire to see this place succeed in every way imaginable. Therefore, I will divulge. Ranju is one of a kind. She is pleasant, professional, incredibly meticulous and seriously has the best memory of anyone I know. MONTHS ago, new to the area and furry-​browed, I trudged into her other location likely grumbling about the 100ft of relentless snow and whining that I couldn’t feel my fingers. While I might sound like a nightmare and someone she’d rather forget, at my latest appt Downtown, Ranju started listing off things she’d remembered about me, where I’d moved from, etc. Incredible. Maybe that’s because I can never remember where I’ve placed my keys and am terrible with names. Still… it is a quality that speaks volumes about her care and attention to detail where her clients are concerned. It is a quality that will keep them coming back for life and I am happy to be among them.
Ranju isn’t alone in her sheer wonderfulness… Akriti, who wrangled my unruly brows on my latest visit, is a gem. Efficient and thorough, she also has a personality that is so effervescent, you can’t help but want to talk to her about any number of things. She is delightful.
Hard Facts:
Pricing: $ 12 for perfectly manicured brows… no brainer. Completely worth it and then some. Check-​in on Unilocal and there is typically a deal for $ 2 off. Pricing for other services is also incredibly reasonable. Keep your eyes peeled for Groupon deals as well and the price gets even sweeter. Bonus: There is a frequent visitor card. Get that punched each visit and you’ll reach your free brow threading session in no time.
Location/​Directions:
Downtown Crossing. Love it. Couldn’t be more convenient. If you can find it, that is. The shop is located inside of the Jewelry Exchange building, which is great if you can find that! GPS will get you close, but if you find that you’re still wandering, keep an eye out for a large street clock which is located on the sidewalk nearest the front doors. There is typically a security officer standing outside of said doors as well. Once you enter the building, there are elevators on the left-​hand side. Take those up to the 2^nd Floor. When you exit, turn your body to the right and start walking… it will lead you around a corner and down a short hallway. The shop is on the left… the pink ‘Boston Threading’ sign should give it away ;)
There you have it. Quality people, work and shop. My fingers are still crossed for those walk-​in appointments, but that said, this place is definitely worth the wait.

Went with a friend on an early Thursday morning to the small boutique. Just as professional and home-​y as the one in Brighton. Felt very personalized and comfortable, almost like doing it at a friend’s house. Friendly service and inexpensive ($ 12 for just eyebrows) makes it highly preferable to any of the salons in the area that offer threading. It was always such a hassle to get out to Brighton by T, so having this downtown location is so much more convenient, which means customers will be able to come more often. I just wish there was more signage for it from the street level so more people could be aware of it.

I’m so happy this location has opened up downtown! For a reasonable price ($ 12), my eyebrows have never looked better. Checking in on Unilocal also knocks $ 2 off the price. The owner, Ranju, is friendly, delivers consistent quality, and pays great attention to shaping my brows in a way that leaves me feeling confident. Another perk is there’s usually never too long of a wait, but appointments can also be scheduled.
The location is kind of obscure though and easily missed since the business isn’t allowed to put up any public signange on the front of the buildling. The place is on the 2^nd floor (Suite 223) of the Jewelry Exchange building right across from the Old South Meeting House. It may take some effort to find the first time, but you will not be disappointed.
