1 star because the food is so nasty The chai lattee was pretty good but not amazing enough to make up for the poor food quality It’s awesome that they have free open space in seaport for you to eat there but who wants to eat a slice of pizza that looks two weeks old and dry by 1pm? $ 4 for croissants that you wouldn’t want if there were 50 cents

Four stars for ambiance — amazing place to work. View and natural light + décor are among the coolest I’ve seen. Also, no music and good sound absorption(great for working or meeting). Downside is the coffee is awful. Stick to tea or a safer bet if you’re a coffee enthusiast.

This is the only place that was designed from its conception customers working remotely. It’s amazing. I’ve set up full electronics kits here, nobody even bats an eye.

Good coffee but getting it in the morning can be slow going since they do not have a ton of staff. Same goes for the breakfast sandwiches. The public meeting area is really nice and the connected Gather Café is not bad. But if you are in a rush head to Starbucks or Café Strega.

This place has the potential to be so much better– but the food is overpriced and tastes horrible. The breakfast burrito is made of a packaged microwave egg, and tastes awful. It’s pretty hard to make a breakfast burrito taste bad– after all it’s pretty basic. In addition, the pastries are overpriced for their size and quality. Given it’s awesome location in Seaport, if the food tasted better — they would probably have more regular customers.

So much space to do work! You will never be unable to get a seat, and there are plenty of plugs all around. This is my go-to for doing work when I absolutely need a seat and some space. And free wifi that is a reasonable speed! Plus the coffee is pretty good. What more could you want?

Terrible! I have eaten there 3 times and that’s enough for me. Chicken burrito — chicken tasted old, roast beef sandwich with mozzarella(they neglected to tell me it was buffalo mozzarella and not sliced, roast beef not fresh, served on a stale hamburger bun) and chicken sandy(chicken not fresh). Not sure why they can’t get anything right but shame on me for going back more than once! Way too pricey for what you get.

I was falling asleep at my desk when my boss casually mentioned a new coffeeshop that had opened up near our office. I immediately grabbed my purse and went exploring. Brew Café is not easy to find. First of all, it’s unmarked from the street if you’re walking along Seaport Boulevard, and once you get to the District Hall building none of the doors are marked with a logo, either. If you can find the door marked 75 Northern Ave, though, and step through, Gather restaurant will be to your left with Brew to the right. Brew offers typical fare like bagels, fruit, sandwiches and coffee, and not-so-typical things like nutella crepes, bags of cracker jacks, a huevos rancheros burrito and a frozen cappuccino. To my surprise, they also carry four beers on tap — the ones available this afternoon were Sam Adams Lager and a seasonal, Whale’s Tale Pale Ale and Notch Session. The prices are reasonable for the neighborhood, and they accept LevelUp so I got $ 2 off my first purchase(not beer, I swear). The café is pretty small, though there’s a huge meeting space right in front of it with a bunch of chairs and tables. The furniture is minimalist, but a staff member told me they have an order in for more comfortable seating — I can picture this place being a very cozy spot in the winter for local businesses holding informal meetings, especially with the free WifFi and idea paint walls. I was also told you can order takeout from Gather during the day if you’d like additional lunch options. The staff was attentive and happy to answer questions; you can tell they’re proud of working in District Hall. I’m really looking forward to spending more time in the building and exploring the menu.

Brew is the new coffee shop in District Hall, which is the Innovation Districts new concept building meant to host innovative social gatherings and meetings. The coffee shop itself is in a wide open space with dry erase walls and plenty of tables of various sizes. They serve coffee and tea, breakfast pastries and sandwiches(all day!), pizza by the slice, burgers, sandwiches, soup and salad. Along with your usual beverages and a bonus of about 5 draft lines(with local craft beers such as Notch). I had the Breakfast Sandy with egg, cheese, and ham on a bagel. The bagel was just right for a sandwich, the egg was omelet style but slightly over cooked. The ham was deli style and good quality. I wish the egg had been either fried rather than omelet style or even just not overdone. The salads and sandwiches are premade, and you can grab them from the case yourself, perfect for busy lunch times. Pricing wasn’t bad, it cost me about $ 8 for the sandwich and a bottle of water(the water was a bit steep at $ 2 for a 12 oz bottle). The staff was friendly and helpful while I took my time deciding on what I wanted and asking a few questions. Overall, I think there’s some work that could be done on food quality but other than that, I’m a fan and I’ll be back.
