The Mediterranean breakfast was delicious! And it was service with a smile, all the way!

This is my first review and I’m writing because I had such a great experience. I walked in out of the cold to grab a quick sandwich for a late lunch. I got the spicy chicken melt – it was delicious. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the sandwich had a great amount of heat. But really, I write because the guys behind the counter were so friendly and joking around with me. They made sure to learn my name, and when they saw me shivering, they gave me a free cup of tea to warm up. Nothing beats that kind of kindness and sincerity, and just for that, it’s worth a look.

Felt like I was back in NYC at this place. Sandwiches and drinks are made fresh. I had a sweet and spicy chicken melt without ranch dressing, a fresh mint lemonade, and a slice of caramel apple walnut cake. The sandwich was $ 7.99, the drink $ 2.99, and the cake $ 4.75.
The sandwich was fantastic, very freshly made and spicy but not too spicy. The lemonade was AMAZING. Honestly I may come back here just for that. It was that good. The cake was a disappointment. It tasted fine but it was very very dry and unsatisfying.
The employees were super friendly and keep the restaurants quite clean. I think this place was expensive but the food quality is high, and prices comparable to other restaurants/​cafes in downtown Boston. Skip the cake desserts and just have a sandwich and a freshly made drink.

Ok it’s my first review in Unilocal and I’m gonna highly recommend it!!! After new year firework we want to find a place to warm up, and this café totally amazes me! We ordered silk mocha and liquid brownie, not that sweet, perfect! And the dessert is great! (I forgot the name but it’s hazelnut flavour)

We ordered 2 savory crepes and a spicy chicken panini– all were great, service was very friendly– place is clean

Absolutely LOVE this place. It’s small and not fancy like Thinking Cup but the customer service is great! I’m allergic to eggs so I can never get those fancy breakfast sandwiches and most cafes make a big deal when I ask them to take out the egg and substitute extra cheese. I told Alfredo (one of the main people who work there) and he suggested adding onions, peppers, hot peppers, AND extra cheese. So I still get a stunning breakfast sandwich! Also, the African tea is to-​die-​for. It only comes in one size that can be too big for me but over all, a great great place!

This is THE place. Like clockwork I pretty much order the exact same thing at least 3 times a week whenever I’m in Boston, writing downtown. I take the T from Harvard Sq, and call in my order when I get to the Charles MGH stop. Salmon crêpe, with spinach. Heaven in my mouth and belly! Always ready when I get off at Park St. and walk down. And let’s not forget my penchant for fresh squeezed OJ… I can only speak to what I order here, but If I keep ordering, that’s gotta say something, right? Also AMAZING crew working there, always friendly and a pleasure to see, even when I am hungover from the previous night. I know what I’m having for lunch tomorrow!

The wifi is conveniently «broken» for them. The people working here weren’t the friendliest either.

Finally found a downtown breakfast place that has great fresh egg sandwiches, lox, espresso, and fresh-​squeezed orange juice. This is my third visit, I’ll update when I hit double– and triple-​digits of visits. Good job to everyone involved in this place.

A lovely little café. I got a turkey club sandwich and fresh squeezed lemonade. This lemonade was perfect and as fresh as it gets. The turkey club, while good, was nothing too special.
I almost gave in to temptation as they have a wide variety of desserts and rich drinks (shakes, smoothies, something called a liquid brownie, and all your coffee standards).
The fire alarm was being tested, so I had my meal at the Boston common. But that was fine with me! I will definitely come back to pick up something new soon!

The closest café near my work office, almost next to Boston Common, but you need to enter to Temple St some meter to reach it.
Coffee is strong and good here, staff speaks both English and Spanish and are very kind. It’s not so packed like other places just to the park, so the atmosphere is quieter and more relaxing.
You will find everything on the top blackboards or in the menu sheets, they have a lot of choices!

On my return visit to Temple Place Café, I tried out the Triple Melt Sandwich and an Orange Mango Smoothie. Both were delicious, and I would recommend giving them a try if you’re uncertain of what to order. Overall, I’m really happy to have found this café– the employees have been quite friendly, the food is decently priced, and more importantly, everything so far has tasted great.

Friendly staff, nice location, affordable, good food. My only complaint about this café is they don’t seem to know coffee all that well. I asked for a black cup and they left room. Although the coffee is decent. The atmosphere is good for business workers on a crunch but not for chilling.

I absolutely adore this place. Randomly found it while looking for a quick bite one day and it had everything I was looking for! Everything is obviously made with love. Its delicious. The staff are so fantastic I can’t speak highly enough about them. I have stopped in a good 15 more times since that first day. If i lived closer I would eat there every single day. Favorite place in Boston.

What a great little café in Downtown Boston! I discovered it through Instagram (on which the crepes looked amazing). My friend and I both had the Tuscan Chicken Crêpe, which was fabulous, and I also had an iced hazelnut coffee (yum!) The staff was also very friendly and nice. The place itself had a nice, relaxing atmosphere as well.

This place is absolutely awesome.
An assortment of items on the menu, all classic, delicious, organic/​local and at the right price.
We had: Western omelet with toast and crunchy bacon, caramel late, vanilla ice cream, sweet and spicy chicken melt and salad, and delicious middle eastern khanafa desert.

I ordered an Americano and was served a cappuccino. I also ordered the apple cobbler, and it tasted old with an oddly gritty texture. It was also warm in the middle and very cold around the outside. The cappuccino was decent though.

I stopped by here as I was wandering around Downtown Crossing. A pleasant atmosphere, great espresso drinks, and a location close to the Commons. The chai latte was good, albeit a tad weak. Next time I’ll probably get it with an extra shot. The latte was great, nothing out of this world (think Voltage Coffee) but better than Starbucks.

Fantastic! The eggplant, tomato and mozzarella sandwich was delicious as was the Moroccan tea. All extremely reasonably priced. Will definitely go back!

My office moved to the DTX neighborhood and I discovered this place on my walk in one day. That day I had an egg and cheese on a croissant. I’m going to stand by what I said that day, which is, Temple Café has the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The croissant is flaky and chewy. The egg is fresh and cooked medium so it’s deliciously gooey. And then they gently press the finished sandwich on the griddle to finish it off and melt the cheese.
Today’s adventure in taste was the eggplant mozzarella advertised on the sandwich board outside (and what drew me inside initially). The panini bread is soft, yet delicately crunchy. The fresh mozzarella, eggplant, tomato, and pesto is a joyous Tuscan marriage of flavor.
To top it off, try the pillows of heaven (or at least that’s what I call them). Toasted shredded coconut on top of an almost-​flan-​but-​silky-​not-​slimy filling on a delicious nested bed of yet more shredded coconut.
The best part about this place is the staff. Friendly, oh so friendly. When I asked about the pillows of heaven, the man behind the counter asked if I wanted to try some instead of just listing all the ingredients. Today he has gifted me two because he wanted to even out the tray and I simply couldn’t leave 1 piece alone. Do I regret eating both pieces? Almost. But I simply couldn’t because I enjoyed every bite.
Lastly, it’s a decent bank for your buck. About $ 10 for a sandwich, drink, and some heavenly pillows.
