Cool staff. Needs a little bit of work as far as keeping soups stocked etc but definitely not the worst I mean it’s a convenience store /subway what more can you ask for? At least the place is clean and friendly staff. I’m sure it will get better.

Awful. Dirty. Coffee always empty, or cold. Is there a manager at all?

Just watched the manager refuse to help a crew member at the register when she was busy and had multiple customers in line. Most people who shop here are on their short break from work and it is disheartening to see somebody who is supposed to be a «leader» just continue to stock a shelf instead of taking care of customers in line when he was asked for help. In my opinion, if I owned this place, I’d fire him. He doesn’t support his staff. The manager needs some personal skills. It is not the first time I’ve seen him refuse to help out. I’ve watched customers help the cashiers carry heavy coffee pots back to the counter while the manager just watched.

The soup station is just awful. It’s lunch time and all you can find are almost empty soup pots and it’s everyday the same. The service is 2 stars. Subway. depends who made it.

A pretty typical convenience store, City Convenience is located right by the BUS stop. I came in with my bf so he could get some gum. They also have a bunch of soup options and sandwiches available for purchase. I’ve had some of the pastries before. I think they’re pretty good for their price.

Dear Shitty Convenience, Please learn how to bag those sushi lunch boxes that you sell right beside PB&J sandwiches, vegan noodles and wraps. I do not appreciate having to go back to my cubicle and having to play«Match your fish with rice» with my supposed Nigiri sushi in my limited lunch break. Also, cashiers & deli people, it won’t kill you to smile at some point. Sincerely, Some who has her sushi lunch box bagged sideways along with the rest of her purchase.

The salad bar has recently started to look even better than before. And they offer about 6 kinds of soup. Also, they now offer 3 panini sandwich options(Italian, tomato/mozzarella/basil, and tomato/grilled chicken/mozarella). This is an excellent decision, as I’m pretty sure there is no such thing as a non-delicious panini. Word to the wise: Avoid the wraps. I don’t care if you think wraps are less calories. They are gross and taste like cardboard. Opt for the classic sub roll for your sandwich order. Also, don’t bother getting a large sub unless you are super hungry.

It’s a convenience store that happens to have a deli in it, for virtually no reason. There’s nothing wrong about it, for sure, but there’s also no reason this place would exist, if it weren’t across the street from a medical campus. The prices are ludicrous — a 20 oz coke for $ 2.05? But, again, if you don’t want to eat at the hospital cafeteria and you only have an hour for lunch and you can’t take a lot of it up by running all over the South End looking for food, what they sell is actually pretty edible. In terms of food quality, the sandwiches there are pretty close to what you’d get at a Subway. Their bagels aren’t half bad, either, although no one would ever confuse them for any kind of «genuine» or «real» bagels.

Uhhh… it’s convenient. Go here if you like fresh made sandwiches or wraps that are lathered in sauce and have chicken that tastes like its from a can.

It’s close, convenient, and when I went… fairly fast with«ok» tastiness. The worst part is the encounter not with the workers but the panhandler character standing right at the checkout counter waiting for someone to pay for their lunch that they picked out… ahhh!!! I got physically nudged a few times by this person«needing» me to pay for their meal – pointing at the food saying«eat, eat…» What a nuisance! I am sure I’ll go back just because it’s in an area with few options, but I will certainly attempt better timing next go ’round.

This place is now called«City In-Convenience» by my coworkers because of how long it takes to get lunch and for the attitudes that some of the workers have. I did have a chicken salad sub from here and it wasn’t bad, but when you cut little round dill pickle slices in half… that’s just a little too penny pincher for me. I do like that they heat the bread up right behind the counter and it gives it a fresher taste, but it’s just not worth the wait. Head to Tom’s Sandwich Shop instead, just a few blocks up!

i hardly ever use this expression but it’s so appropriate here…“meh.” i go here because it’s close to my school, and it’s literally the only place to go in the area, unless you’re willing to walk up to washington street or mass ave or to venture into the depths of boston medical center. sometimes i see people eating the prepackaged sandwiches or salads or pizza that’s been under the heat lamp for hours on end from here in my classes and it always makes me throw up into my mouth a little. it’s great that they take credit cards, they sell cherry coke zero(LOVE that stuff) and they do have some vaguely healthy snacks, like odwalla bars. but everything is super overpriced, the snacks and gum are often stale, and it’s only open until seven or so, which is ridiculous since most classes on this campus end around 9PM.
