Stopped here for breakfast this morning on my way to work. Fair prices and hot coffee, can’t ask for much more. Someone in line before me ordered the breakfast sandwich and it looked yummy, definitely going to try that on my next visit!

One of my favorite food trucks and definitely my most guilt-free food truck. I love the vegan options and especially love their brussel sprout sandwich… My only complaint is that I wish I could have it year round. The tea is amazing, the fries are to die for and the staff is so kind and helpful! Tip– follow them on Twitter to see their daily menu and schedule!!!

The red line was a scary fright this morning. After being stressed out about that, I needed a treat, and decided to go to the Clover food truck. I love the breakfast sandwich — soft boiled egg, Vermont cheddar, tomato, and salt & peppa in a pita pocket thing. It’s the most delicious thing in town. It’s not fried(bonus!), tasty, and packed with a solid amount of protein to start your day. For lunch, I’ve ordered the chick pea fritter sandwich, which is by far, a great lunch favorite of mine. I’m not a vegetarian, but I enjoy all of these vegetarian options. :)

What’s the big deal?! Cold coffee(that took forever) served in a small cup with no lid, no cream offered, and no sugar? And a weird ass egg sandwich was a hard boiled egg with non-melted cheese stuffed in a flappy pita thing. $ 8? This place BLOWS!!!

Gotta love a vegetarian food truck. The breakfast sandwich is amazing! It is fresh made using fresh ingredients and delicious. Add a cup of coffee, arguably the best in Boston, made from fresh ground beans with water poured slowly over the grounds for the freshest cup around. The sea salt and thyme fresh fries are always a hit, as are the popovers. Daily specials change but are always vegetarian(not vegan). Find one and treat yourself.

First, when they haven’t run out of stock, the food is good. I’d give it 4 stars. Lately however, the food shortages are more common and they don’t bother to update their signboard to reflect it. The biggest drawback of this location is the staff. I have never, NEVER seen staff at a food service establishment that serves the public that are so filthy. Sure, Clover doesn’t have a uniform– people wear t-shirts and jeans. Not tough. Now imagine, you’re hungry and on your way to work. The person preparing and serving your food is wearing jeans that are stained with dirt(?), food(?), filled with holes. As an added bonus, you’ll get a full view of another server’s ratty boxer shorts because they can’t be bothered to wear a belt! It’s delightful! No, it’s actually sort of sad that they don’t think this is a problem.

Chickpea fritter sandwich… AH-Mazing. So filling, messy(the good kind of messy) and service is so quick. Rosemary fries are good as well.

This location is really efficient! I don’t feel like I wait nearly as long(compared to truck on Blackfan St) and the oatmeal with fruit is delicious and ready rather quickly when I’m in a rush to get to work.

This is a well-run Clover food truck. Truck opens at 7 am sharp for breakfast. At that time– generally everything is ready to be served, except for Popovers — which usually make an appearance before 8 am. There are usually 4 people manning the truck — 1 greeter/coffee pour-er; two people doing food management(packing things up, cracking eggs, etc), and one person making the sandwiches. I enjoy the fact that when I order something — as the person is running my card– the other person is making my sandwich in tandem. For breakfast they offer: Iced and hot pour over coffee Various home made teas and sodas Breakfast sandwich: hard boiled egg, tomato, cheese, salt in a pita Oatmeal with some sort of fruit compote(the rhubarb is awesome!) Yogurt, granola and fruit compote Homemade muffins(various flavors) Popovers: If you don’t know what these are — they are basically eggy, non-flaky croissants Staff are friendly but in a way that doesn’t disrupt the line or exacerbate wait times. Clover is here for lunch too– and offer usually about 3 sandwich options, and their famous rosemary fries. Sandwiches do sell out — it is a FOODTRUCK after all, but I generally find that the problem is less severe at this location. For sandwiches they generally offer their Chickpea Fritter(the most popular) + two others:(examples: BBQ Seitan, Soy BLT, Sweet Potato Sandwich, Hungarian Beet, etc). Lunch– although vegetarian — isn’t exactly the healthiest option — many of the sandwiches contain fried ingredients — but are delicious none the less. Clover trucks only take credit card now — no cash or level up allowed. In the past if they mess up or take too long with your order, they will refund your purchase. My only complaint is I wish they offered a larger sized coffee. It tastes me approximately 3 seconds to down their current size. Oh, also I wish there was almond milk, and sometimes they don’t put sugar out for their coffee. But these are all little quibbles.

I’d like to start by saying I love the idea, good seasonal veggie food, locally sourced. I find the sandwiches hit or miss, some are really good, others meh. I think my biggest issue is the price, sure it’s reasonable for one sando, but I need at least two to be full and then it’s a little more than I feel it’s worth, I thought the point of a truck is that it’s not as expensive because there isn’t as much overhead? The one thing I have to say is I love their breakfast sandwich I guess they are also small, but I’m not normally a big breakfast kind of guy, so it works for me, it’s light and tasty without being over complicated.

When I was consulting in Boston 3 years ago there was ONE truck. Now? 7 trucks? 2 locations? Day-um, Clover. 1) The staff is awesome. They know me — Shout out to Stefan(ph?)! And they will always walk you through things and be accommodating. One day I was drooling over eggplant but wanted the Tomato Sandwich — they stuck a piece of eggplant in there. A+ 2) The food has a bit of variability but I’ve found the following hold true: The BBQ Seitan is always good, even when you get loaded down with work once back to your desk and forget to eat it for over an hour. The BLT is heavy on the mayo(Just Mayo Brand — vegan) but I like that. I really just like anything where mayo and tomatoes come together. Ask for your chickpea fritter with tons o’ veggies. The Kale Caesar side is the only one I love. I think I had a bad experience with the rosemary fries… especially since I once saw a guy eat 2 off the sidewalk after he dropped them. Then I ordered them again and Nick mastered the heck out of that starch! Perfecto! 3) Logistics — I have never experienced Dewey Square Clover’s line to be absurd(like Bön Me’s). While you wait for your food you can wander around — just make sure to let the person you order from know you’ll be looking at the farmer’s market or other trucks so the people don’t keep calling your name. And once I got there like 6 minutes after closing time(in a state of frantically low blood sugar) and they let me order. :) Notes for Clover with love: A) You need a loyalty program. I’ve said it before but I think this one would be most useful for you: Your lunches are about $ 10(sandwich and side or drink) So have a card that you can buy for 10 lunches and get a free lunch. So basically — free lunch when you buy a $ 100 gift card. B) Lettuce: Your patrons always end up eating the lettuce first because it ends up on top. Also — Lettuce gets some extra enzymatic activity right after being torn up(not cut). So You have two options as I see it: really shove that lettuce in the pita early OR haphazardly tear the lettuce into strips or pieces before layering in. C) More pickles! Please. 4) Those little boats you serve fries in are ridiculously unwieldy. People like fried potatoes in bags. 5) You should add the ability to put fries inside the pita — Super authentic.

Their chickpea fritter was great. This food truck sell only vegetarian food so if you want meat don’t bother to stand in line. The lunch hours are the most craziest time here. The line could stretch for miles down the street. The food truck parked right in Boston common. If it a nice day, you could get one of their wrap, sit on the bench in the park and enjoy your lunch.

If you’re looking for a place to get your sandwich order wrong, make you wait while they grow and harvest the potato’s and then not bother cooking them.(seriously the so-called french fries were just cold grease soaked crap, not cooked at all) Then this is the place for you, if however you would like edible food look elsewhere. Places like this give vegetarian food a bad reputation.

Chickpea fritter sandwich($ 5), is amaze balls! Their rosemary fries don’t taste like rosemary at all, just crispy goodness with a slight season. Clovers one of my top 5 fav food trucks in the nation. Yes I said in the nation. What?!

I got an email saying that there would be free beer battered apple rings at lunch, which sounds delicious, so I decided to trek out in the snow for a lunch sandwich and some apple freebies! But when I asked the folks at the truck about it, they didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. But by then, I felt obligated to get a sandwich anyways. But they were already sold out of one of the sandwiches I wanted and the brussel sprouts salad.(Tip: go early!!)… So not having what I wanted and the lack of free apple rings made the trip a disappointing one! That being said, the Clover prices can’t be beat!!!

Yes! A healthy place after my own heart! The strawberry lemonade is a necessary thing. The sandwiches are cheap, filling and soooo good! The yogurt and granola at bfast with their coffee is excellent!

Excited to see an increasing amount of food trucks around Boston. I was especially excited to stumble across this one because it’s vegetarian friendly(ayooo!). The special of the day was a brussel sprout sandwich, but since everything on the menu sounded great and I’m so indecisive, I asked for a recommendation. I was told that the chickpea sandwich was a good choice so I went with that. I’m hooked! Seriously, it’s that good! The chickpea portion is very similar to a falafel, but they’re a bit smaller and not as crispy on the outside. They stuff a pita with a whole lot of extra things and also give you a side of tahini. *drooling* This felt like a healthy lunch(despite a heft dose of carbs). The one drawback about this would be the fact that there are not tables to sit at(obviously, it’s an effing truck), but the nice thing is that you can find places to sit in the park. If it’s raining, you’re pretty much SOL. I’d definitely go back here. I actually tried, but it was snowing/raining too hard and they drove away before I went on my break. Womp wommmmp.

Good for the times that they actually show up. During one of those snowy day I walked all the way to their location near Longwood ave in my heels and I was met with an empty parking lot. Their fb said they were gonna be here huhu. Anyways; Love the soup. I would get one cup every time and be finish with it by the time I walk from there to Fenway. The soup was something like a borscht, warm you right up for those cold hellish days. Also mostly get the chickpea sandwich but in all massivity I can’t ever finish it in one sitting. Side note: my friends did not like their free Clover grub but then they are the red meat eating people

It’s no coincidence that«love» is in the title — I am infatuated with this place. The friendly service! The free samples on nice days! The egg sandwiches! The perfectly balanced iced coffee that takes a million years to make and forces you to enjoy nature while it percolates! The rosemary fries! AND … The POPOVERS! One of my friends almost moved to Boston for this truck alone. Don’t miss it if you’re downtown!

Let me list some foods that I do not typically care for: 1) chickpeas 2) tomatoes 3) cole slaw 4) any sort of «special sauce»(mayo-based.mustard-based.doesn’t matter. I dont want it). Let me list some things that are inside the pita when you order a Chickpea Fritter: 1) chickpeas 2) tomatoes 3) cole slaw 4) some sort of «special sauce»(mayo-based.mustard-based.I’m not sure) Now let me tell you how I feel about Clover’s Chickpea Fritter: O M G GETTHEFRITTER! Yes the wait for the food truck can be long right at noon. Yes you are going to be tempted to buy the Hibiscus drink(tasty!) or the rosemary fries(amazing!) and will probably spend more than originally intended. Yes you’re going to get horribly addicted and want it every day and will pout like a child when you have work meetings that prevent you from going to the Clover foodtruck for lunch. But take it from someone who likes very few of the ingredients actually in the Chickpea Fritter — IT. IS. FANTASTIC.
