Billy is the best! Best cleaners in the south end. Dino is the house tailor — they don’t get any better; from couture to khakis, he’s seen and done it all. Only place I trust.

This is my dry cleaner of choice in Boston, but mostly because they have never screwed up my stuff, rather than because they worked miracles for me. All the stains I have brought to them have remained stains. On the flip side, other places have lost whole pieces of clothing that were never recovered, and this place has never done that. Like others, I probably pass by at least 3 dry cleaners and go out of my way to take my clothes to Columbus because they’ve never ruined or lost anything!

Went specifically on Unilocal’s recommendation to do an extremely delicate job – my wedding veil! For $ 18 they made a used, tulle, ivory, 9ft piece like new, even getting out the small discolorations on the tiny lace detailing. Friendly staff, too!

Staff is friendly, prices are solid, my clothes are perfectly ironed, and the option to rush your dry cleaning for same day pick up has saved my butt on numerous occasions. (If you drop your dry cleaning off before 9am its 0.50 extra per garment, but you can pick it up the same day after 3!) Columbus Dry Cleaners has quickly become my go to in the neighborhood.

These guys went out of their way to meet my schedule despite my coming in from out of town for a conference and not having the opportunity for my repeat business. I needed a new pair of pants hemmed that I picked up on my way to Boston or I’d have to wear the same pants all week. I dropped them off at noon and got them back at 5 pm the same day, though they were already done at 3 pm. The tailor was a distinguished and very experienced gentleman originally from Greece with decades in the profession. I could have chatted with him all day. Even if I may not be a repeat customer I’ll certainly go out of my way to use them next time I’m in town.

Going to Columbus Cleaners is kind of a religious experience. All your eating sins miraculously vanish with almost no pain. They keep a close eye on your clothes and keep you from falling hems and other clothing malfunctions. And they usually manage to make you (or your dog) smile. What more could you want?

These guys are really, really great. Friendly, honest, willing to help when things go wrong. I hardly ever write reviews, but these guys are top notch and deserve all the 5 star reviews they get.

Great dry cleaners. Nice people inside and the owner/​manager has a great memory. After a few months, he remembered who I am, and would make a comment about what I dropped off or tie into the conversation we had the last time I was in (usually a week or two earlier).
I have had issues with other dry cleaners breaking buttons on shirts with fatter buttons (Dependable and Fig), and have not had a single issue with Columbus Dry Cleaners.

I’ve been going to Columbus Cleaners for at least 15 years. I used to live a block away, but moved a few miles away almost 8 years ago and won’t go anywhere else. They do a lot of shirts for me and it is extremely rare for there to be a problem with one. If there is, they’ll fix it. They know who I am and have quick turnaround. I highly recommend them.

I have my standard dry cleaning done here and they consistently do a good job. I had an issue where they broke all the buttons on one of my expensive Thomas Pink shirts (pretty much happens at every dry cleaners with the nice shirts because the buttons are thicker and get crushed in the press). The buttons are almost impossible to match so one of the guys there apologized and asked if I could wait a week for the shirt while he looked for new ones. They found almost identical buttons and because they were, almost identical, replaced all the buttons on the shirt.
They advised me that I have to get certain shirts hand cleaned in order to preserve the buttons…
Everyone that works there is extremely friendly.

These guys are the best. Truly amazing service. Billy is a great guy and a great business person. And you never need a slip because it’s «where everybody knows your name.» Dino is an excellent tailor who did a lot of great stuff for us too.

This place is good at removing stains! My silk blouse had all sorts of stains on it, and I took it to another Dry Cleaners before coming here, and brought it back home with most of the stains still there~ After I dropped it off at this place, though, they all disappeared! The way dry cleaning ought to be.
However, this place is somewhat pricier (perhaps a lot depending on where you’ve been to) than other places, but the above is the reason why. I think they charged me literally twice as much as the other cleaners I went to. They put more care into your garments, though. so if you have some expensive, fragile, heavily stained clothes, then you probably want to go to a place like this where it might be pricier but definitely better.

It’s really a 3 ½ stars and I’ll explain why momentarily.
Columbus Dry Cleaners are my dry cleaners of choice. Not simply because of proximity, but because their service really is up to par and they do a great job for the price they charge. Back Bay/​South End usually has incredibly high prices when it comes to dry cleaning so I do appreciate that theirs is on the more reasonable end. Along with that, their service is usually great. The staff there is really nice and remembers who you are and are usually timely with all of their dry cleaning work. I’ve never had an issue when it comes to that.
However the reason why I’m giving it 3 ½ stars is because of their extreme delay in doing a stitch job. I was told a certain day, and I came about 4 days later and the job still hadn’t been done. That annoyed me slightly and I expected a discount for the delay, but nothing of the sort happened. I realize the onus is on me to ask for it, but for things like this I expect the store to automatically oblige. Regardless, the work was done well.
In short, the slight unpleasant experience does not deter me from going there for dry cleaning. It’s a great little place and they’ll keep my business.

I’ve been going to Columbus Dry Cleaners for the past 2 years and I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff has always been extremely friendly and my clothes come back looking great.
One time I had forgot I had 7 items waiting to be picked up for over a month… whoops! But in the end it was no big deal and I really appreciated their accommodating attitude. So if you’re like me, and forget where your clothes are for over 4 weeks, these are your guys!

I have to say that the service is great here. I’ve been here twice now, and each time, the owner (Bill) always seems super nice and the rest of the staff is the same. Clothes come back on time, I haven’t lost any clothes like I have at Executive Cleaners, and the price is comparable.

Hands-down…THE BEST in the city! I’ve been going there for about 15 years and have never had one complaint… now that’s impressive!

Pretty good – I’ve only had a winter wool coat dry cleaned here, so I can’t really say much about how they handle other materials, but they did a great job! I’d go here again.

The items I bring to any dry cleaner seriously test their stain removal abilities. After dropping off a DvF dress littered with nacho cheese, a cranberry juice-​soaked top and a few other oddities I was impressed to see my clothes come back looking as though I had never even worn them out!
The quick return and friendly service (they remembered my name by the 3^rd visit) have made me a regular!

I really like these guys. Dry cleaning is more or less a commodity. They are pretty much on time without hassle, and they have not had an issue in three years.
You have to, however, like a local place that knows your name, how you like your shirts (heavy starch) and treats you with respect. I do not even keep the dry cleaning tickets
