D’amore’s Italian Restaurant

We have been to D’amore’s several times in the past with exceptional service and food, however on this occasion our experience was horrendous. From the moment we walked in we felt ignored. There was no one there at the time and our waitress proceeded to ignore us for 15 minutes and then walked by and said I’ll be right back. She went to the kitchen and chatted with the cooks for another 15 minutes and finally came over and asked if we were ready to order. We stated we’d like to start with a drink first and she said ok. After another 10 minutes the drink order came and we ordered fried calamari. 20 minutes later it came. I asked is there a reason it took so long and she stated I just bring it out! As I stated no one was there. We had to ask for another drink and ordered our food. The food took another 20 minutes to come out and was overcooked and much smaller portion than ever before. As I stated no one was there. A few more people came in and there service was just as bad as ours. In 1 hr. and 20 min. the only food that came out was calamari and our dinner. Our waitress’s name was Marie and I would never want her to serve us again. She was too busy chatting with the cooks or other people from the neighborhood. We were so disappointed with our visit we may not ever go there again. Such a shame how one waitress can put such a sour taste in our mouths!

Used to love this place… until it closed

This is a nice little Italian place. A great place for families to eat good food, in a nice atmosphere, for a reasonable price. I recommend it if your in the neighborhood!
