This place is amazing. Great pizza and salads. Friendly staff and reasonable pricing towards an admirable cause. Can’t beat this place

After reading a strong review in the Boston Sunday Globe Magazine on 1÷10÷16, I sampled the Margarita pizza the next day. It was excellent: wafer thin but not droopy crust, sweet and smoky sauce, classic cheese blend, basil finish. Whole wheat crusts are notoriously tough to pull off(too hard; too soft; but they got it «baby bear just right»). The brownie was also excellent. Prices were right, service swift and professional, space open but welcoming, and overall a great Dudley revival vibe.

I’m a vegan and have been searching for a good vegan pizza and I have found it here. I don’t know if he’s the owner or manager but he asked me what I wanted and hooked me up with the best vegan pizza I’ve had since moving to Boston. The people working were extremely nice and down-to-earth. One of the workers knew all about one of the customers, asked about his children and seemed genuinely interested in us as guests. This is definitely my new favorite pizza spot and a place I’ll visit frequently

Went to Dudley Dough for the first time last night, incredible customer service & delicious pizza… what more can one ask for? My group enjoyed the margarita pizza, special(feta, corn, artichoke) and a specially on-the-spot created vegan pizza(squash, black beans, artichoke), tomato/kale soup, the roasted pear salad and bak-choy salad. Everything was well prepared, fresh and flavorful. I can not rave enough about how delicious the special pizza & bak-choy salad was. Of course we finished the evening with Roxbury Puddingstone icecream(and muffins to-go)! The manager, Luther and amazing staff were attentive, professional, and funny! We love that it’s a Haley House venue & hope to venture back soon.

Great cause. Not so great of a selection. This is not your typical pizza shop. The pizza is thin crust New York style and There are only two types of pizza; margarita or whatever the special of the day is. If your lucky, you might get a special of the day that’s good. How are you going to call yourself a pizza shop and not have pepperoni pizza? This spot is a little too hipster yuppie for my taste.

Economic Justice and Good Food, v2.0. First off. I’m a huge fan of the profit-sharing, community focused, business model that started over at The Haley House Café down the street. With all the development happening in Boston, it’s great to see money going back into the community, especially in places like Roxbury. Staff here has been super friendly and helpful for my first two visits. The muffins, that I’m assuming come from down the street, are great as usual. The Pizza is a thin crust. So far not the best in town, but I feel that it will only get better with time. Their focus is a daily special. I’ll keep going until I’m wowed by one, which I’m sure will happen. At that point, maybe I’ll bump this up to 5 stars.

First impression I love the fact that it’s an urban local business that sells pizza for a cause. Also putting a new stamp to dudley station. I had the roasted pear salad which was very tasty then had the special pizza of the day, definitely had to go back for seconds. This will by my new client meet up spot. P. s love the classic soul and rnb music

Pleased to write the first review for Dudley Dough on Unilocal since I believe my wife and I was their first customers when they opened for business at 7AM today. This long anticipated opening got us out of the house early and it was well worth it. I’ve admired the work of Haley House in the South End(which started in 1966) for years — helping our most vulnerable fellow citizens. Then 10 years ago Haley House took it one giant step further and created the very successful Haley House Bakery Café in Roxbury a place where everyone feel welcome. Today they opened their 2nd social enterprise, Dudley Dough, in the new Bolling Municipal Building in Roxbury. It’s a new model, economic inclusion, which will help chronically underpaid workers. The location is perfect, warm, inviting and clean. The staff are friendly, outgoing and welcoming. And the food … Loved it. Had one of their specialty muffins and Equal Exchange Coffee for breakfast. I’ll be back soon to try their pizzas and salads. I know that ice cream is not a breakfast food but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try a flavor called Roxbury Puddingstone.(For those who love history, Roxbury Puddingstone helped build the great city of Boston.) The ice cream was incredible. A nice big bowl really was a nice way to start the day. Perfect place for excellent food which supports a effective and feisty non-profit organization. Enjoy
