This is literally the worst Mexican food I have ever tasted in any part of the world. I know there isn’t much Mexican food in Boston but this is an all time low. As a Texan, I have no idea how they can call this place El Paso Enchiladas and it looks and tastes nothing like an enchilada you would get in El Paso. As others have commented the enchiladas are actually greasy hard shelled corn tacos without sauce, the rice is just regular Asian white rice, and the beans are black and probably straight from a can. No effort whatsoever on the rice and beans which IMO is the real test of a Mexican restaurant. Worst part is that the dry ground beef looked and tasted like it was old. Shame on me for eating in this tourist trap food court!

Staff were friendly, food was fresh with good variety…$ 4 breakfast burrito is totally legit. Veggie or meat options with eggs, made to order while you watch. I guess some people felt it wasnt authentic for other dishes, but go for a burrito at breakfast or brunch and youll leave happy!

One of the only places in Faneuil Hall that has any vegan option. Boo. The food was meh and even though I had no meat, cheese, or sour cream, I still was charged $ 1.40 for avocado! WOW not worth it!. and there was barely any in it. It’s amazing how«expensive» avocado can be. It was shisty too because he asked if I wanted avocado as if it was just another ingredient and then when he told me the total I was really confused. Oh, the avocado was more… um… not cool. The guy was friendly and my meal came up quick. But the quality was lacking. I hope people on the East Coast don’t actually think this is what Mexican food tastes like. The only reason I ate here was because my options were extremely limited. This to me was a $ 5 burrito(mainly because of the size) and I paid over $ 10.

I don’t know why every is giving this place bad reviews I love going here when I am in the area. After the first time I had gone I went back two months later and the nice guy who works there remembered my order and asked if I wanted the same thing. I have no idea how he did that but it was pretty awesome. The food is also really good, made in front of you, and the portions are huge. It can be a little pricey but everything else in Faneuil Hall is too what do you expect?

Very friendly guy, absolutely terrible food. I don’t think I’ve ever had worse Mexican food. The seafood taco was completely inedible. It tasted spoiled. The rice was not good. Do not eat here.

Absolutely horrendous experience. I ordered taquitos, one of the most basic staples of Tex Mex, and they gave me a burrito filled with somevyellow spiced chicken. The workers were complete bozos when I complained and tried to explain what a taquitos/flauta was. I thought the customer was always right. Not here. Stupidly I didn’t ask fir my money back and just walked away shaking my head. I will never go here again. The majority of these guys are not Mexican or Hispanic and I think there is some masquerading going on here. High prices and they can’t even do taquitos right. Uggh.

This place is just plain terrible. the opposite of ‘authentic.’ Their enchiladas consist of beef cooked on a stove top placed inside a cheap tortilla cooked until hard on a stove top. When I asked why they weren’t baked and what enchilada sauce they use, they informed me that real enchiladas aren’t baked(blasphemy to anyone from the south) and that the salsa was their enchilada sauce. When I asked him what the difference was between what he made and a taco, he said tacos have lettuce. As a Texan, I have to say that this place is the furthest possible thing from authentic. Including the price of $ 11 for two terrible Enchiladas, rice(Asian rice) and beans(black beans). They obviously don’t care about return customers, so don’t waste your time or money on European people trying to rip you off with ‘authentic enchiladas from El Paso’

Just awful. I ended up throwing out the chicken queso’s, nacho’s were also tough to get down. Big mistake ordering from here, never again. I’d compare it to a hotel offering a happy hour with free food. Unfortunately this wasn’t free, but it should have been. I didn’t think it was possible for Chicken Queso’s to taste that bad, from that stand point the meal was impressive.

The dish that keeps on giving! I ordered the chicken taco salad and boy I thought that bowl of food was never going to end. It came with a lettuce on the bottom, a whole pile of cooked shredded chicken then topped off with sour cream, guac, pico de gallo, sliced olives, shredded cheddar cheese, and a bean/corn salsa all in a crispy shell bowl. It’s a little pricey at $ 9.30 including tax, but it’s Faneuil Hall, so the location is plenty reason why it’s $$$$$$$ for a bowl. But it keeps on giving(then again I’m a petite girl, haha) Cheers!

As I wandered around the food court aimlessly wondering what I would eat before i passed out I stopped here. I ordered fish tacos. The flavor was good but the tortilla got a bit moist making the taco impossible to pick up. I also found myself needing something else to eat. I have had better fish tacos. Probably will skip this establishment next time I’m at the hall.

Nothing to write home about, well maybe that you just spent $ 10 and you are still hungry. My boyfriend and I ate here the other night when we were at Faneuil Hall for his pub crawl. We were hungry so we figured a quick Mexican food stop would be sufficient. I got the vegetarian taco salad without cheese or sour cream. I also had to get it without guacamole because I’m vegan and there is sour cream in the guacamole. I hate it when places do that. It’s cheating! So cheap! Guacamole should be avocados, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, green pepper, lime juice, and spices, that’s it. No cream crap as a filler. There weren’t many toppings to choose from like at a Chipotle or Qdoba. And no spicy salsa =( Supposedly both types of beans are vegetarian-friendly, so I choose the black ones. But they have pinto too. I probably should have asked for rice too just to fill the taco salad a little more. It was mostly lettuce, a little beans, some veggies, and salsa. You can get either a bean or veggie taco salad but I asked for a mixture of both. Should have asked for more beans too. It just wasn’t full-filling, I was still hungry afterwards. Or next time I’ll do a burrito and stuff my face on rice. My boyfriend got a chicken burrito and said it was meh. Nothing compared to Chipotle, Anna’s, or Qdoba. And certainly nothing compared to Herraras. I wouldn’t have minded our bland food so much if it wasn’t so damn expensive. We each got waters and our total bill was $ 24. Yikes, that’s a lot for 2 star food. Next time I’ll probably stick with the Middle Eastern, Indian, or Thai places.

I was first aghast when, after paying $ 1.40 for Guacamole, the smallest of portions was spread exceedingly thin on the Tortilla. I was ready to cancel my $ 10.69 Steak Burrito on the spot and I mentioned my displeasure to the manager, who promptly gave me a container of «the stuff» to appease me. This only served to further inflame my anger, as subsequent and numerous taste tests failed to reveal any trace of Avocado in said so-called«Guacamole». Since when did it become acceptable to charge $ 1.40 for a tiny portion of Guacamole sans Avocado? Sheesh! The taste of the stuff was quite bizarre — I think it must have been some kind of okra mashup. In the spirit of full disclosure — the burrito, over priced as it was, was rather tasty. But I will NEVER go back to that place again. It’s just another Faneul Hall tourist trap, preying on unsuspecting, non-repeat customers. There ought to be a law…

Bad service and expensive. The burrito was alright. The ingredients were good but the burrito was poorly made and rolled. I told the guy to put guacamole on my burrito and he didn’t, reason being because it was going to cost extra. Lame. Put guacamole on my burrito if I ask you to.

Wish I saw the reviews before ordering my breakfast burrito. The cook didn’t wash hands before handling my food(did I mention he was shaking someone’s hand before that). Can’t tell the difference between bacon from ham. and for christ sake, there is a small piece of egg shell in my burrito. Horrible food. Stay away from this place at all costs!

After picking two lovely pitchers at Crate and Barrel(for sangria!) I wandered over to Faneui for some food. I go to the same two places there and I decided that I should try something new. Stolling over to El Paso I was some what pleased with how fresh the ingredients looked. I figured, yeah go for it. Ordering a chicken burrito seemed like a safe choice. Well when I was asked if I wanted to upgrade for extra money for some sour cream and guac I knew it was going down hill. Why must I upgrade for those two items? So in the end I spent about $ 9 for a burrito. Already feeling buyers remorse. I supervise my burrito construction and tell the guy I want a lot of jalepenos and the hot salsa. My burrit ois wrapped and I am good to go. I dive into this burrito with some enthusiasm since I jsut paid $ 9 for it and it is loaded with a lot of spicy jalepenos. Well a few bites in I realize there is NO heat, NO spice. I have been let down by the weak jalenpenos. Needless to say I wont be wasting my money there again.

Oy vei! Wait, no… caramba!(Why doesn’t Unilocal have an upside-down exclamation point?!?) I get suckered into El Paso Enchiladas every time I go to Quincy Market Colonnade. I’m overwhelmed when I step into Q. Market anyway… there are so many choices and I can’t settle on just one thing. so maybe I go to El Paso because I know I’ll like Mexican. But this taco stand never fails to disappoint. As a rule, the food is fairly standard Americanized Mexican. The guys behind the grill work hard and I will give it up to them that they’re friendly at the counter. But the prices are steep for what you get in the end: chips from a bag, dull salsa(though guacamole is good), Taco Bell-style meat filling, etc. I have had taquitos, super nachos, and a taco salad here, but they felt just short of being satisfying. The nachos, in particular, DIDN’T HAVECHEESEONTHEM, but it was too late for me to go back and do anything about it. If El Paso could come up with better quality ingredients, it would push them up a notch or two. But if I think about it seriously, Quincy Market Colonnade is mostly just mall food masquerading as something more special, so maybe I should give El Paso a break. Still, I don’t think I’ll be going back here again.
