Specialties
I design and build custom artistically oriented rustic furnishings and garden structures out of natural materials. For outdoors I can build gazebos, porches, bridges, pergolas, arbors, gates, fences and benches. For indoors I can build furniture of all kinds, lighting, staircases, railings, as well as wall and ceiling panels.
History
Established in 1987.
I began building rustic work after going to college in upstate New York where adirondack furnishings and architecture prevail, and working at a dude ranch in Wyoming where there was a lot of rustic work. I was working in finance in my early 20’s and did rustic work as a hobby. About the time I turned 30, I went into rustic building full time. A couple of years later when my sons were born, I became a stay home dad to take care of them, but continued my rustic work when it fit into my schedule. Now that my sons are older, I have more time to create and build new things.
Meet the Business Owner
Frank C. Hamm H.
Business Owner
Frank was raised in Weston, Massachusetts, where he attended high school. He ran track and played soccer. At St. Lawrence University, he played soccer and was the editor of the college news paper. He recognized the natural beauty of rustic work while in upstate New York. He was also inspired by similar furnishings and the rugged surroundings while working at a ranch in Wyoming the following summer.
He has always been a big fan of architecture and design and had endeavores to include these features in his work. He is developing new designs to create modern work in natural material.
Frank especially enjoys the collaborative process with clients and would love to discuss the possibilities in designing and building a terrific custom piece or two.
He lives in Boston with his wife and two sons.
