I like Front a lot. The staff is friendly and they give you room to browse. They have Baggu bags, fancy soaps, greeting cards, notebooks, calendars, pottery. The store and selection is spare and refined, not cluttered. I can’t wait to go back when I need to buy birthday gifts

It is a dangerous thing to work right across the street from Front. This simple storefront has wonderful and unique finds –from reusable bags to great art pieces to jewelry and even little items for your pets. The staff is incredibly helpful and you might even get a quick hello from some of the pets that hang out in the store. Front is a great find! I always look forward to coming in!

Awesome and unique little store in Channel Center, Fort Point. Def would miss this place if you weren’t looking for it. Such a neat and varied selection of gift/​kid/​home type stuff — like nothing else I’ve seen. I ended up getting 2 wedding shower gifts here that were an absolute hit!
The woman that works there was amazing, helpful and creative and made my day with the gifts she helped me pick out. Went above and beyond, not to mention it was 2 min til closing time when I walked in. I will be going back this week to get some more gifts… can’t wait.

Such a wonderful place, and I’m so happy that it’s in my neighborhood!

One breezy Saturday morning I stumbled over the bridge to Fort Point for Open Studios. Chilly and huddled over a to-​go cup of tea, I ran against the wind to Channel Center and stopped in my tracks. Really, really stopped.
There, on my left, was a store window with organized cute stuff.
I know, right?
I’m a sucker for anything whimsical and semi-​useful. My favorite haunts include Black Ink, Vessel, Magpie, Salmagundi, On Centre.. . you get the idea. But Front? SO CUTE! I was on a mission to scout art, but I was going back there stat.
The store is sparsely decorated, has comfy places to sit (sooo welcome after hours on my feet), the wares are adorable *and* affordable (a welcome break from some of the INCREDIBLE — but also spendy stuff I’d seen thoughout the day) and the salesperson was really friendly. My favorite items include the hanging felt birds, melamine dishes and stackable coffee mugs.
Front doesn’t stock entirely unique stuff, but it is nice to find outside of the usual neighborhoods. Nice work!

So I secretly love
I’ve only bought one thing from them, but I check their website embarrassingly often. And a few days ago, I found an adorable «8 Days a Week Planner» by Bob’s Your Uncle— a planner that has a column for every day, plus a «Someday…» column. It was super adorable, and I WANTED IT.
So imagine my excitement when I find out that Bob’s Your Uncle sells their stuff at Front, in Fort Point.
Although the 10 minute walk from Broadway was a bit painful since it was hot, it sure was rewarding. (I think this place might be a bit more accessible via the Silver Line, but I’m not sure.)
The store was empty, clean, and had a bunch of cute stuff. The one woman in there was knowledgeable and nice. Friendliness? Ding!
$ 17 for a super cute planner that lasts 13 months also seems like decent pricing. Didn’t check much of their other stuff, but as far as I know, prices? Ding!
And of course, their stuff is super quirky and cute. Ding!
Not too pricey, friendly staff, and great stuff. Go there. Do it. Nao.

Finally I was able to sneak out of work a little early recently to check out Front.
I LOVE Bob’s Your Uncle stuff, and while it’s easy to find at other places, it’s nice that Front is owned by the same people.
Front has a nice selection of ceramics, melamine plates, paper goods, and doggie products. I really like that they’ve partnered up with Polka Dog and carry their treats, toys and bowls.
The resident pooch is a little dog, but a cute and friendly one.
I left there with a few things for my office and a few cards. I’ll be back, definitely.

Front is the first sign of retail life in my neighborhood. Since I’ve been living there I’ve been hearing rumors about «this» place or «that» place opening. I’ve woken up to so many construction sounds in the morning that you’d think they were building a shopping mall in my hood. But really, the place is pretty dead.
Enter Front, an adorable store with really nice and friendly owners. I bought a candle and a card and some soap for a birthday gift. This is great stuff — not the kind of stuff you can get at the Hallmark store. It’s clever, it’s witty and it’s unique.
If you can’t find Front, look for those plates in the front window that A.S. mentions in her review. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because of their limited hours. But, until more retails shops open up in the area, they’re not going to get enough foot traffic to stay open longer.

Front is a new store bravely leading the way in the Fort Point Community. It is owned by a British couple who also own the company Bob’s Your Uncle (a British phrase that means «everything’s fine»). Front carries an assortment of Bob’s Your Uncle goods: greeting cards, prints, planners, etc. as well as other international and locally designed items including felt goods, laptop covers, yoga mats, bags and more. They are also the exclusive distributors of ThomasPaul melamine plates which are bright, colorful and whimsical!
I just purchased three felt birdies to hang above my bed like a mobile! Great place to find gifts for that person in your life who appreciates good design. Or just to pick up something fun for yourself.
