The line took forever, and they are totally understaffed. However, our guy(Matt? Mike? — former Geek Squad guy, currently a manager in another dept, but over at the counter helping out — was a hero. He really put in the time and effort to do his best when we came in with my grandfather, who has a challenging time with technology.

I dont even want to give them a 1 star… Waited 3hrs and they never showed. Called the office and was on the phone for 50min to hear sorry we lost your order so we can reschedule in 3 weeks… Are you kidding me, I would never call this company again. Dont even waste your time…

The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is that I bailed before letting the Geek Squad in my house. The process for setting up an appointment is so tedious and without a hint of customer service that I developed a bad feeling and couldn’t go through with the appointment. The last straw was the service calling to say they had to reschedule due to a problem with my address. I live in Brookline but the appointment was booked in Brooklyn, NY! No apologies just an apathetic chick who couldn’t care less about my being inconvenienced. So glad I canceled. I found another service on Unilocal that was immediately helpful on the phone and sounds 1000 times better. He laughed when I said I has been frustrated with booking the Geek Squad and said«Yeah, they’re not the best game in town.». Not by a long shot.

Me: «Hi, I wondered if you could help me, I think the thing that connects the power cable inside my laptop has come dislodged, are you able to replace this?» Geek: «What brand is it?» Me: «oh it’s a BenQ» Geek: «Never heard of it, is it foreign? You won’t be able to get that fixed in America.» [Geek gives me squinty eyed apathetic look… shrugs shoulders and walks away] Geek Squad = ill-advised, unhelpful and incorrect.
