Legit worst night ever… Reserved a table for New Years, when we arrived at 10:00(party started at 9:00) they told us our table wasn’t ready. We didn’t get our table until 11pm(new years). We paid 550 dollars for a bottle which we didn’t get until 11:30pm(New Years). The waitress then poured 4 drinks and took the bottle away, then they asked for a $ 400 dollar tip. When my girlfriend asked about what was going on the manager told her she could get the f*ck out. Not one person checked a ticket nor checked for a «vip» table. Anybody could have entered through the hotel side, no questions asked.

Absolutely beautiful here. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a few drinks on our anniversary. The lighting is beautiful and the set up is small but nice. I got two drinks and already was feeling something so it is worth the price you pay! I don’t remember what the drink was called but it was cherry and the best drink I’ve had at a restaurant! We’ll definitely be back eventually, maybe for my boyfriends birthday in January.

Pros: Clean, stylish, GREAT location, great rates Cons: Noise from local bars/pubs My boyfriend and I stayed here on a Saturday night. We decided on this hotel after having a good experience at their sister hotel, the Charlesmark, several months ago. Our rate was $ 169 for a room with a city view & a queen bed. This hotel is so inexpensive compared to other local hotels and it is perfect if you plan on spending time exploring the city! Our 5th floor room was clean and spacious. We unknowingly booked our stay the weekend of SantaCon so there were more loud drunk people at 2am than expected. Other than that, our stay was perfect. We plan on staying here again in the future.

Beautiful design of the hotel. Very modern feel. The location is extremely convenient. Walking distance to the harbor, tons of food selections, Quincy market, little Italy, and other shopping areas. The nightlife was equally convenient as there were numerous bars close by which had large crowds and a good selection of music. The hotel itself also has a bar which had an awesome atmosphere and great drinks and music. The room was comfortably sized with a nice set up and a decent view. It’s in the heart of the city so noise is to be expected but this didn’t pose an issue for naps and sleeping through the night. Would highly suggest for the young traveler looking to explore the city. Will make it my choice when I return to Boston.

I attended a networking event at Harborside Inn on 11÷10÷15 in the 1st floor bar/function area. Atmosphere was nice, trendy and comfortable. Service was a disappointment. First, it was difficult to get the attention of the bartenders to get a beverage. Second, the bartenders were not at all friendly or timely in delivery after finally getting their attention. Third, the bartenders could constantly be seen taking shot after shot so this could be the reasoning behind my past two statements. Completely unprofessional. Very disappointed with my first visit to the establishment and will not return.

Cons: Unprofessional/untrained staff, Loud noises at night Pros: Close to Quincy Market area, Clean We checked in on a Saturday afternoon. The front desk didn’t mention anything about the noise level at night while checking us into a room on the first floor. Turns out that their bar area is more of a club scene at night. Not only could we hear loud music until 2−3am, there was a lot of foot traffic in our corridor. There were random people talking loudly outside our door, even knocking on the room doors. We assumed that these people were guests of the party and not the hotel as we could hear them talk about looking for the restrooms. We did not sleep well that night at all. When we aired our grievances to the front desk the following morning, the staff member became defensive, and told us that they didn’t know that it would be loud at night. It’s hard to imagine that they would host a party and not expect any loud noise. He also stated that they do a routine«noise testing» and that our room was not noted as a room of concern. Our room was located on the first floor, in the corridor closest to the lobby. I find this defense quite hard to believe. The lady who checked us in just quietly sat there with a smile, clearly not wanting to get involved. He finally notified us that we could talk to the manager if we wanted, but also told us that he didn’t know where the manager was or when they would return. This came off as a cop out to us. I don’t necessarily blame the staff for this. However I do blame management for poor coordination and staff training. It’s too bad that they don’t value the hotel guests’ experiences because it was otherwise a nice hotel in a great location.

SLEEPERSBEWARE! I recently stayed here on Saturday night and could not sleep a wink due to the chaotic jersey shore type club they operate within their building. I knew I’d be in for a long night as I walked back from dinner into the hotel and there was a long line of what looked like college aged guido juice heads and strippers in stilettos waiting to get into the next door Starbucks lounge. During the day what seems to be a hotel Starbucks deli turns into a drunken frat party at night. I’m from jersey so I don’t really mind this scene, but when that noise interferes with my sleep then it really makes me very irritable in the morning. As I laid in bed around 1am not being able to sleep, I called the front desk but did not reach anyone. I decided to walk there in person, since no one answered. Sure enough, there was no one to be found. Noise probably dissipated a little after 2am with a few drunken idiots every so often screaming about having to take a piss or looking to eat some hot dogs. The following morning, I complained to the young man with brown hair and glasses. I told him he should’ve warned me about sticking me downstairs near the party as I had no intention of joining their social mixer. He told me that he didn’t understand how I was able to hear the noise since they do all types of testing for noise pollution. I’m not sure if he was 1) playing dumb or 2) was actually dumb, but either way I was very annoyed with his responses. He gave me a very puzzled yet creepy look and at that point I realized I was wasting my time. If you are planning to go clubbing here then this hotel might be a great place to stay, but if you’re looking for a good nights rest then this is not the place. Case closed.

Hmmm. For $ 350 per night you’d think this boutique hotel would provide a bottle of water in the room(daily, per person), coffee(or coffee pot), in the room, fruit for breakfast, and toilet paper that doesn’t feel like copy machine paper. Hotel staff were — at times — dismissive, snarky, and not willing to help out-of-town travelers. The best thing about this place is location.

Beautiful hotel, great location, won’t ever stay here again. On a night when the hotel was NOT sold out, my husband and I were booked into one of their basement rooms… DONOTLETTHEMBOOKYOUINTO A BASEMENTROOM. Was up all night because the bass from the ‘lounge’(more like nightclub) was rattling every fixture in the room, you can hear every footstep overhead. When I called the front desk I was told ‘well they’re closing soon otherwise I’d switch your room’. Well even after they closed that didn’t stop the footsteps/jumping overhead. IF you stay here, DONOTLETTHEMPUTYOUINTHEBASEMENT ‘CABINS’.

This hotel is a little retro, it doesn’t have key cards to access rooms, but still uses traditional keys for guests to use during their stay. When I asked how often they changed the keys for security reasons, they said about once a year. As for location, it’s close to many interesting venues, but extremely noisy with police and ambulance sirens at all hours of the night and drunks(many arguments and fights). coming out of pubs at 2:00AM. Weekends(Fri-Sat) are really noisy and chaotic. As for price it’s about $ 299.00 per night, about half the cost of other hotels. If you stay here and want any peace and quiet at all, make it during the week days. weekends are just too noisy.

Man oh man do I love the styling of this modern hotel! Harborside Inn boasts beautiful teal and lime green modern styled furniture in their lobby. With free wifi, and a beautiful bar and restaurant, one really doesn’t need to leave! But, if you are traveling to boston like me to see the sights, this hotel is located right off aquarium blue line stop! And it is centrally located to a great deal of spots, including the Quincy market, a great spot to grab a bite to eat! The beds are super comfortable and sleep well. The shower are easy to use and always run hot water. The products are nice to use and the cable tv had tons of channels to choose from. Did you forget your laptop or need to print your tickets to fly home? No worries because the lobby has computers for guest usage and a printer as well! This is not only great priced, but the hotel staff are super friendly and kind. They answered all our questions and were quite helpful in giving us tips for the city. Bonus: we could store our luggage before our 3p check in time and after we checked out — we had a late 7p flight departure– so we could continue to explore the city!

I was very satisfied with my stay here. The room was clean, comfortable and cozy. It had high ceilings with wonderful pot lights. The wifi was free and fast which was definitely a plus! There were many bars and restaurants close by. Quincy market was also pretty close. The only con for me would be the lack of conditioner. Overall, I would recommend staying here. Reasonably priced!

This was a nice hotel but try to check in earlier than we did. We got to the hotel really late around 1:30 am and it was a hot spot for a dance club. There were people drinking everywhere and right outside the smell of pot filled the air. I felt uncomfortable plus the parking garage is a few blocks away. You couldn’t hear anything from our room, however on the positive side. The room was beautiful and spacious with one of the nicest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a hotel. When I walked down in the morning it was a perfectly pleasant lobby with a nice café for breakfast. No remnants of the previous night remained. Was in walking distance from the freedom trail and several restaurants. Good hotel to stay in if you’re younger and like to party.

We came to Boston for the st Patrick’s day holiday and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing room at the harbor side inn. With exposed brick on one wall(room 202) and a small window to gauge the weather outside, our room was perfect for our needs. It was within walking distance of many bars/restaurants, and seemed centrally located to everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed having the café and lounge immediately downstairs. CONS: toilet paper felt like sandpaper. If you want customers to return, please don’t skimp on amenities.(No conditioner, just shampoo provided in the bathroom kit?) Being right next to the elevator was quite noisy, but convenient. TL;DR: We would stay here again, provided we bring some charmin.

This hotel is a great deal for Boston. The location is awesome. Easy access to public transportation. There is a garage to park in down the street, so that was very easy. There are lots of great bars and dining areas in walking distance. The rooms are a good size. The exposed brick wall was cool and showed the character of the building. The bathroom is very standard, but fine. The hotel was very quiet. There were lots of other couples staying there. I would stay again.

If you’re like me, and you read every review under the sun, pin the location on a map and examine the street view as though it’s a virtual tour, and look for character, you should book this hotel. We had exposed brick on two walls(room 303, facing State St), and it was amazing! The best thing about this hotel is it’s location. You can EASILY walk to the Aquarium, Quincy Market, the Holocaust Memorial and plenty of restaurants. Walk a little further to Boston Common, Public Garden, Cheers, etc. We visited in the Blizzard and were advised against the subway given the delays, so we walked everywhere… and it was a breeze, even in the snow. The one downside(if you are in a room facing State St), there are a few bars where late-nighters will be somewhat rowdy. It didn’t really bother us, but if you are someone who wants peace and quiet this might be an issue. That being said, there are rooms that don’t face State St, so just request one of those rooms. Other things– the room was very clean, modern and comfortable. There is a mini-Starbucks in the lobby, and the hotel bar gathered a decent crowd at night. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone!

This is such a great location — right in the Financial District, a block from Faneuil/Quincy and Merchantrow as well as walkable to Chinatown, Public Park, Massachusetts Statehouse and all that good stuff! For a Friday night our rate was $ 109 + tax so it came to $ 124 for a night which I find very reasonable! Staff was friendly when I called to make my reservation a month ago. Everything was ready upon arrival. The room was clean, showers were nice(great water pressure too!) TV, VHS/DVD and FMinput /safe all available in your room. No complaints at all!

This hotel is in a really good location! There is a T in front of the hotel — it’s the blue Aquarium line… I was excited at first but it’s not the best line as you always have to transfer to get to the more interesting areas of Boston. For me, I used the orange and green line the most. The blue line’s main transfer station — government centre is closed for the next two years for construction so that doesn’t help. I suggest taking the 8 min walk from the hotel to the Haymarket station where you have access to orange and green lines. Location wise, you’re a within a 5 min walk radius to Quincy Market for shopping and food stalls, Faneuil Hall, Boston Harbor, North End, and a few good coffee shops on Broad Street. There’s a convenience store about 2 doors down from the hotel. The hotel is quiet, clean and has very strong wifi! The room is a fair size with very high ceilings with lots of pot lights so it makes the space feel bigger. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nicely designed and had lots of counterspace. The HUGE downside to this place that takes it from a 5 to 4 star is the non-existent water pressure in the shower. The low water pressure was really annoying so luckily the hotel had other things to offset this drawback. I would not recommend the atrium view as you get a view of the hallway/elevator area with no outside view. The only window you have has venetian blinds that look out into the hallway. So I would never open the blinds and at night, you get a lot of light leakage coming into the room. They should consider some blackout blinds for that. Staff were nice enough but it’s one of those places where you don’t really interact with the staff as there’s no concierge, doorman or bell hop. You just check in and out. Overall, I would return to this hotel because of the location, comfortable and clean room.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently for our first trip to Boston. If you’re a tourist, you can’t beat this place. It’s centrally-located and pretty close to all the usual Boston tourist spots. The On-Off Trolley tour is located at this building.(Buy your tickets for this online.) We did ride the trolley once through, getting a good once-over of the city while getting lots of historical info from the great tour guide. After that, we either walked or took the T everywhere. And the Custom House clock tower is next door which is a great landmark for finding your bearings. There’s a T(subway) stop right outside the door which made the trip from the airport a breeze(about 15 minutes). It’s also about a 15 minute walk to North train station which made our day trip to Salem a breeze. The inside atrium view room is small but we’ve stayed in smaller rooms with no problem. It can get a little humid in there though with the windows unable to open. The room has a fridge which you can stock with stuff from the convenience store that is also attached to the building.(I don’t care about expensive mini-bars.) The room also has a DVD/VCR player and the front desk has videos to borrow for free! A nice service even if the selection is lacking. As far as a spot to sleep, it was fine. The front desk guys were super-cool and helpful. We even got to talking a bit with one of them, dark-haired two-day beard guy(forgot your name… sorry). Nice kids, top-notch service. The bar and café downstairs was great, too. It’s a fine place to stay and we’ll definitely return.

This boutique hotel was absolutely great! We bought a one night stay at this hotel through Groupon Hotels and only paid around $ 200 + tax. This hotel was located close to everything we wanted to check out: Faneuil Hall, Boston Massacre site, etc. We stayed in the 7th floor(queen sized city-view room). The room was very big! With an amazing floor-to-ceiling mirror! Had an iron! Totally needed that in order to straighten out my dress for my dinner date later that night. Has a very clean bathroom with clean towels! Loved absolutely every single decorating piece in this room. Very chic and amazing. I specially loved the lamp which hangs over the round table in the room. Check-in was on a Tuesday, it was fast and the lady was very nice. Check-out was the following Wednesday and was also very fast. As for the noise complaints from past guests… There was nothing to complain about the noise level. Very quiet and slept like a baby. As for the keys being old fashioned? Omg. Who cares? Sheesh. I washed my hair with their complimentary shampoos and conditioners and it came out fine. They also have complimentary lotions and mouthwashes. Overall it was a great experience. They don’t have room service because why would you need one? There’s a restaurant next to the hotel lobby which is owned by the hotel I assume. Also, there’s a ton of restaurants in Boston to choose from… Plenty within walking distance from the hotel. Also: free lollipops at the front desk!
