A very shady looking place. Limited choice of wine.

As I enjoy a nice drinky mcdrinky in the form of flavored Schmirnoff Marshmallow Vodka, this is my favorite place. They almost always have it! And the owner/clerk there is friendly. I love having this ’round the corner. Thank god I’m not an alcoholic because I’d be here a lot more if I were and that would be really bad. I partake in my addiction around the corner at Thaitation, and I should probably be seeking help for that addiction.

Really friendly staff, a lot of times I’ll come in towards the end of the night to the lady who works here singing as she restocks the shelves. Such a sweetheart.

the staff is really friendly, and there is a decent selection of wine and beer for such a small shop. while they don’t have a ton of variety beyond the major beer brands, but do carry enough to find some good choices beyond the bud or miller. easy to stop by and find something i want, and prices are pretty standard for boston.

I like the employees who work here, and they take AMX. The prices are what you’d expect in Boston. I’ve had no problems going to this store.

I gotta say its not the cheapest and its not the largest liquor store in the city but when it comes to service and satisfactions this place tops the list. The owner, Steve, is the man. He remembers names and faces, and always asks me about my family, which is amazing since Ive only lived in the area for 3 months. His store has a very suprisingly good selection of wine for its size and the beers are rotated regularly with the season. He’ll just as happily suggest a bottle of wine or a type of beer as he would to just shoot the shit with a stranger. Steve is the man, hes got a great outlook on life and will make you want to support your neighborhood businesses. One drawback — No kegs.

I just moved here a few months ago from Pennsylvania so I’m used to a selection of Victory, Troegs, Flying Dog, Yards, ect. The place is very small and I was originally put off by the fact that they didn’t have any of these. But it turns out for as small of a place this is, they actually have a pretty good selection of stuff. Going here has forced me to try new things and I appreciate them for it. I just can’t get nostalgic about my hometown beers going here.

Great folks work at Jersey Street Liquors. And the Beer selection is Very Good. Especially if you, as many of my Fenway neighbors do, are having a party. Respectable liquor selection as well.

Not the cheapest– and they don’t have the greatest selection– but the staff is soooo friendly. They even gave me some boxes when I was getting ready to move. Depending on what you need– their location in Fenway is convenient and there is never too long of a wait. Sometimes I just go there because I want to support the business– not because I’m dying for some alcohol– that’s what I would call a great competitive advantage.

I’m not giving Jersey Street(as we dub it) 5 stars because of the prices or the ambiance or allure of the store. I’m giving it 5 stars because of the people who work there. I’ve been going here for going on 4 years and it’s been the same employees(who own the place) the whole time. It’s so nice to have a relationship with grass roots places. They remember your name, ask how you’ve been, etc. Definitely beats going anywhere else and getting harassed for my ID and getting my beverages thrown back in my face once they see that I am, indeed, of age. Anyways, this is a great place and I don’t know who that other guy is saying is grumpy — once they get to know you, you can’t find better liquor store service anywhere else! I love Jersey Street Liquors. PS: The beer IS cold and the prices are the same as any other liquor store in Boston.

This place is a real hole in the wall. The sign proudly proclaims itself«The Coldest Beer In Town»(trust me, the beer isnt that cold), but it’s real identity is Jersey Street Liquors. Don’t let this store’s tiny appearance fool you, they pack a lot of beer, wine and liquor in her. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection. Unfortunately, the prices are still the typical high range Boston prices. This place was a bit closer to my apartment than Bradley Liquors(and conveniently located next to Lilly’s Gourmet Pasta!), so if I just needed to grab a quick 6 pack this was the place to go. Two or 3 of the guys who work there are very nice and will help you out if you cant find something(a lot of the stuff here is buried and difficult to locate), but one of the guys is just grumpy and doesn’t like to return your hellos. Anyway, this places works great in a pinch. Worth a try.
