One of the worst calzones ever — chicken no taste — just terrible. What a waste of money. Calzone had more broccoli in than chicken. … I hate white no flavored chicken !!!

I waited 22 minutes for a Greek salad? A little ridiculous don’t you think. Either way, it was good. Just aggravated that I had to wait so long…

Tasty fried chicken and grilled chicken salad. The staff was friendly and food fresh. Ordered wings for the super bowl and they came quickly with a ton of fries. Good spot for some fast (if somewhat greasy) food.

This is a review for the driver only. I hope their quality of food and service isn’t representative of their delivery… yet I doubt it.
The driver was looking at/​using the phone while operating his delivery vehicle for about 10 min I happened to follow him in the same direction. He created several dangerous situations on the road because he was too slow to react to traffic and lights. My destination turned out to be close to the address he was looking for. There were 2 spots for parking. He proceeded to park in the middle of both. After waiting behind him, I gave him a curtesy honk, since he clearly wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings. He waived me off. I waited a bit and gave him another honk. Same wave of disregard from the driver. I came out of the car and asked politely to «move a few feet forward so I could park behind him». This driver, who was still searching on his phone told me «you need to wait», while all that was required is for him to literally move forward 3 ft. Classy behavior all the way! This guy just made sure I will not order from this place.

This place is just absolutely terrible now that there are new Owners. Such a shame. Go elsewhere!

First off let me say this is not a biased review, based off of one bad experience. We used to LOVE Kwik-​Es. We spent lots of money ordering from there over the last few years and really appreciated the fast delivery/​good pizza. But now I will say 100% I will NEVER order from there again. I will NEVER recommend any friends or coworkers or even strangers on the street to order from there either. We had a horrible experience about a month ago where we waited almost two hours for our food, for the pizza to be completely demolished and gross. We call and they say, «well we can bring you another one but it will be awhile». «Excuse me? After we waited for 2 hours? My husband had to drive there, bring the pizza back and wait for a new one. All he got was a «Sorry about that». Ok fine. Maybe it was a one time fluke. Nope!
We called tonight and After an hour of waiting I called and asked the girl how long it would be. She says «Any minute, my driver just left». Ok 30 minutes later, no pizza. I call again, and she says «My driver was in a car accident, we had to remake the pizza and send it again, I will call him and call you back to see how long it will be.» Uhm, ok? 10 minutes later, no call back, now Im frustrated. I call back someone else picks up the phone and then I hear the phone hang up on me. I call back yet again, the same girl I have been dealing with for almost 2 hours picks up and says «Sorry the battery on the phone falls out sometimes». Huh, how convenient. So at this point do I need to cancel my pizza and order from somewhere else, I ask. She says «Yea do that, just cancel it because my driver is MIA.» What!!! Are you kidding me? This is an actual real life business? So I tell her that I am going to review the place and talk about her unprofessionalism and she says «Yea, you go ahead and do that. Thanks!» and HANGS UP ON MY FACE! As a paying customer of this place for so long I am just beyond offended and actually quite livid. I know it has been taken over by new owners and thats fine, now I know this is not the place for us. As I say in general, wasted time is worse than wasted money and I am so disappointed I had to waste so much of both on this place! Make your own judgements if you must but this is a genuine experience so good luck with this place!

I wish I could give them a good review because I could imagine that if the pizza was hot it would be awesome.
The first time we ordered delivery from them they were about 10 – 15 minutes late. Fine.
We are currently still waiting for our pizza. It was ordered close to two hours ago and still nothing. Apparently the delivery guy waits till the place closes and then delivers everything that was ordered from 9pm on.
Never again. Bad move Kwik-​E, you’re not quick.

I finally found my perfect wing place! I just got wing here are they are crispy and hot. Yum!
The place is also nice and clean, with friendly service.

So, it was around 9-​ishy on a Monday night. I don’t want any of the food in my house (do I ever? no), and after wasting 20 minutes on my first GrubHub order that I ordered, that 20 minutes later I found out there was no delivery driver, I thought «oh no worries, I’ll try to get some Falafal somewhere else. So, I went back on GrubHub, did a looky-​look for some Falafal-​ish food, and found this place. Placed an order for a Falafal Wrap and some spicey fries. Went back to watching my 19 Kids and Counting on Netflix (whoo hoo!) and waited for the deliciousness to arrive at my door.
15 minutes later, my phone rings. Maybe it’s my food!
No, it’s Kwik-​E market or whatever this place is called, asking me to order something else since «they are finished with the Falafal», a broken-​English way of saying «That’s gonna be an 86».
I said «I don’t want anything else», because it’s true, I’m a vegan, I don’t eat 99.999 999% of the crap on pizza place menu. He kept rattling off some other sandwiches that I didn’t want. I hardly understood him.
I told him to call GrubHub and tell them they FAILED my order. Turns out they never did. I called GrubHub to whine about it, turns out that this place never owned up to Grub Hub that they dropped the ball.
SECOND FAIL OF THE NIGHT
If you take orders through an intermediary, you need to stay on top of them, at the oh-​so-​busy hour of 9:30 PM on a cold Monday night so that people who are trying to eat before midnight, can make other arrangements.

The food isn’t fantastic, but the it is cheap and is definitely a pretty clean place to go. Don’t bring your grandmother tho.

Terribly soggy grinders. All the ingredients were stale, and everything was overcooked. I ended up using a fork to pick everything out and avoided the awful bread entirely. Delivery also took quite a bit longer than they said it would. The only good thing about this place is that they aren’t the only pizza and grinder shop in town.

Boston is not a fried chicken town, but their fried chicken is really excellent — a great find! (The owners are great, too.)

Great sandwiches at reasonable prices. Northeastern student who just moved on the Hill and this was my first stop after moving in. The guys are awesome. The guy recommended the Pastrami over the Steak and Cheese, so I got it — as he described – and loved it. Definitely going back to try to Steak & Cheese soon.

Eh. We stopped in a for a quick lunch recently, but it turned out to be anything but quick. I was surprised to see so many offerings on the menu at the «sub shop,» and it was actually quite a turn-​off.
Seems a bit strange that the sandwiches are offered alongside fried chicken. Ugh.
We ordered a few different sandwiches for lunch and it took FOREVER to get them. We were the only people in the place and I think it took over 10 minutes to get our food. I’m used to Jimmy John’s where it’s «freaky fast and freaky good.» Unfortunately neither is true here.
I assumed that I was waiting while my salami cured or my cheese was imported, but instead I got what seemed to be prepackaged and processed food. Not totally awful, but not very good either.
Skip this place if you are looking for a sandwich. Walk 10 minutes down the road to Michael’s at Coolidge Corner where you’ll find an authentic deli and a great sandwich.

This place is really good for lunch and dinners with company. I really love the design there. It’s cute. My favourite place is near the window with high chair.
One more plus of this store that it’s very clean. And the guys who’s working there are so cute. Really. And very nice and polite. And they very quick. In some places u have to wait like 15 – 20 min. I don’t mind waiting but when u in rush and the people who’s making your food stay and talk and doing everything sloow that’s just kills me. In this store is different. You giving money for the cashier and in couple minutes he’s giving you food. Don’t u think it’s awesome!!! And their food are always fresh and taste good. Never had bad expirience with them.
The price is good also. It’s not expencive as in some places around but in the same time it’s a good food.
Calzones and pizza look good and taste same. I’m nort a big fan of pizza but if i feel like eating pizza i definatelly go there no matter what. Salands are imazing. Always fresh chicken, all vegatables. Subs are nice toasted and they put a lot of meat in like meatball or steak.
I like this place and i really recomend everybody to go there at least once and u’ll understand why i like them!

I work right around the corner for the SPH and was hooked after eyeing my coworker’s fries one hungry afternoon. I decided to check it out for myself and ordered the fish n chips (comes with a side of salad w/​Italian dressing and a large side of fries). The fish was perfectly crunching and golden brown and of course, the fries were crispy, not soggy. This is a better deal than McDonald’s for quality and portion!
I’m oneeee happy customer :)

Went here again and got the chicken kabob wrap and holy crap is it good. It is by far the best thing on the menu.

This section of Huntington in Mission Hill is lined with take out places. Kwik-​E stands out for subs. The meatball is to die for. The owners are really friendly. And they’ve been there forever (since the 50’s!).

Yet another fine Brigham Circle dining establishment. This shop has been around long enough to ensure a couple of things:
1. it’s pretty darn cheap
2. it’s really, truly OK
3. it’s clean enough for you but probably not for your mom to want to eat there
I’ve had slices and steak and cheese subs and they were OK, but what really sets Kwik-​E above 2 stars is the chicken kabob roll up with sauce and feta — that’s a easy 4 star and for $ 5 you get your gullet crammed full of fresh chicken which is nothing to cackle about.
