LensCrafters has good prices and a lot of good options. All the associates at this location are helpful when it comes to picking out glasses.
I came here on Sunday to get a new pair of prescription sunglasses (5 years over due) and had many options to choose from.
I ended up with a very fun pair of Burberry sunglasses and with my prescription and insurance they came to around 300 dollars.
The associate who helped me quoted me for a price that included protection for a year and then told me he’d give me the protection at no extra cost — didn’t realize until I looked at my itemized receipt. I didn’t make a huge fuss about it because I probably would have bought it anyways but I thought it was very sleazy and of poor taste. This is why LensCrafters is not getting a full 5 stars.

Great service! Friendly atmosphere! Highly recommended… Zhanna (GM) has a personal attention. Would use it from now on.

Went here a month or two ago for progressive glasses for computer reading at work. Given that I am in my mid twenties I was already feeling pretty crappy about having to get these heavy duty reading glasses and my experience here did not make me feel much better. I was promptly helped when I came in but the sales guy was not understanding what style of glasses I wanted and proceeded to barrage me with a ton of frames were which not what I described. When I suggested I would just poke around sans help he seemed to take offense. Overall the first visit was not horrible it was your typical glasses shopping experience. The return trip to pick up my frames was where the trouble started as I had no idea how to use these glasses and the sales guy did not help me at all, he just told me to adjust my head until things look clear, pretty useless common sense advice. I had to end up calling my eye doctor and have her talk me through it as I was having issues adjusting and it could have been avoided if he would have just showed me in person how to more effectively use the glasses and what to expect, she was surprised they did not offer any meaningful advice in the store. If you are going to specialize in glasses at least be able to aid customers with using the product especially for first time users spending 500 bucks. Next time I am in the market for glasses will try another store and hope for better luck.

I don’t usually post negative reviews, but this place was ridiculous. I’ve read lovely things about the doctor’s office here, but my review is only for the store.
I’ve been wearing glasses, always from Lenscrafters, for 20 years. I came in around 4pm on Sunday to drop off an old pair of glasses to repair. The screw on one side of my frames had fallen out, causing the sides to come apart. To be fair, the girl who I left my glasses with was very pleasant. She told me the repair would be free of charge and I should come back in an hour. I ran some errands and rushed to return before the store closed at 6. When I arrived, a man brought me my glasses, but they were a dirty mess! I was surprised, because every Lenscrafters I’ve ever been to in multiple cities always cleans glasses beautifully. But hey, maybe I caught them too close to closing time, right? Just then, an incredibly rude middle aged woman working at the desk commented, «Ugh, those are so dried out!» Ummm ok, there’s no need to be an ass, lady. I could say the same shit about your caked up wrinkly face, but I kept it together, didn’t I? I was clearly wearing glasses too, so obviously I did not drop off my only pair. After that, they pushed for a donation to their fund to give children glasses! I gave some money, hoping it actually helped a child despite their crappy service.
I rushed out of that unwelcome environment with pleasure. It wasn’t until I got home and removed my contacts did I actually look at my glasses… THE SCREW HAD NEVER BEEN REPLACED! They basically held my glasses on a table for a couple hours, insulted them, and handed them back to me without fixing anything.
This place is a joke. Manhattan, Connecticut, and Miami Lenscrafters have never ever been this poor. I will never return to this dump.

Went in to buy a new set of frames and lenses. The gentleman helping me was very polite and patient. I tried on multiple frames but wasnt sold on any yet. So a woman worker came over and asked me if i was ready to buy anything. When i said not yet she rudely told the guy to go do something else. I asked her why she did that as he was very helpful and i wasnt done yet and she said she had other people who needed him (they were NOT busy and there were PLENTY of other staff to help she just didn’t want him WASTING his time if i wasnt buying). I told her clearly my money wasnt good there and i would not be in need of her assistance. I have never experienced such bad customer service. Im sorry but they amount of money a pair of glasses costs me im gonna be sure i LOVE them. Well lens crafter your’re overpriced anyways. Ill stick to cohens down the street. Dolly would never and has never treated me like that.

Very helpful and friendly staff. I brought my broken glasses I bought in another state in to replace using their insurance program but couldn’t find the exact replacement. However, the employee helping me, Christian, went out of his way to just fix them for me for free!

Horrible service. Shitty job on Burberry glasses, everything seemed rushed.
The optometrist said its like that but the threads/​fiber holding the glasses was sticking out, they didnt even attempt to trim it down. Went to braintree SSP one and they were more than happy to oblige.
Never returning, plus their staff attitude varies. Few were nice and friendly, one was extremely rude and unhelpful.

After some minor issues (big to me) the GM Zhanna fixed my issues. She was AMAZING. She did admit my readjustments were bad, and spent the time to make them look new. I personally didn’t think all the adjusting would work and they would break. At first I never would have returned but there customer service was FANTASTIC. Highly recommend seeing her or the manager (sorry I forget her name)! But they both listened to me and made magic happen. Highly recommended from me to you. As everywhere will have some issues. But they actually did magic!!!

I booked an appointment by calling the store and when I arrived, they did not have my appointment. The office staff is incompetent!

Woman at the front desk almost rude with me because I was slightly late. Bad customer service. I asked for the price of the consultation on the phone and was charged another price up front.
The doctor seemed generally in a hurry. She didn’t even put me eye drops «because you’re young, I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with your eye» while every single eye exam I previously had with many doctors in different countries all put me eye drops. Super disappointed, never ever coming again for any kind of eye-​related service or purchase.

I am so surprised to see such negative reviews for this LensCrafters store! I chose it because it is conveniently near my work and I will continue to give them my business because so far I’ve had nothing but great experiences. My first experience at the store was exceptional. I had an eye exam with Doctor Sun, so when I told the reception downstairs they had an associate walk me to the optometrist waiting and reception area and introduced me to the receptionist. Everything
They were very organized, giving me two copies of receipts, prescriptions, and insurance benefit details. Once I had my prescription, I was escorted back downstairs to an associate who would assist me in picking out the perfect pair of frames. I was given honest feedback about which frames best suited my coloring and my face shape, and pretty quickly I had narrowed it down to a favorite pair. Additionally, they measured my face to ensure that the frames allowed me optimum range of vision. I have progressive lenses (like bifocals without the line) so I assumed that it would take quite some time for the lenses to be done, but they were ready in only an hour.
I was also very happy with my contact lenses experience. Dr. Sun offered me some samples of a few different lenses until I found the ones I like. I had check-​ins scheduled to touch base about them, which I was not charged for.

I really had a good experience here recently. I had an eye exam with Doctor Sun, didn’t have to wait (I had called in a day ahead to find a convenient ballpark time), and then I bought a couple pairs of glasses downstairs. The opticians were quick to pick out good frames that I really liked and they were knowledgeable about what would be good for my face shape and size. They even made adjustments to frames that I had gotten elsewhere. I wish I’d found this place two years ago instead of walking up and down Newbury and settling for less sophisticated care and much smaller frame selection than at this LensCrafters.

Extremely unorganized. I had a very simple contact order that I needed quickly and no one knew what was going on. Eventually manager Chris found contacts and mailed out but the whole process took way too long. I will order online with another company next time.

Terrible customer service.
Granted, I had a pretty random request, but I called first to see if they could help me and was told to come on in.
When I got there they basically accused me of lying and explained that they were completely unable to help me.
Total disgrace.
Find somewhere else. Anywhere else.

for the past 4 years of needing prescription glasses, lenscrafters continues to do an exceptionally good job w/​outstanding customer service, hugely wide selection, well-​staffed, and quick turnaround. on new year’s eve, I sat on my glasses at the gym around noon. I went to the store around 1:00, looked at several possible replacement frames while they restrung my old ones, and was on my way within an hour. the store had a lot of customers who were being all attended to. they remember me every time I go, which is only once or twice a year, and are genuinely friendly. i’m glad I go to this national chain, because on the way home, I went past a small local place that was closed.

***Warning*** Do not ever go to them!!! For the last 3 years, I order my contact lenses from them. Every year it takes them at least a month to get my order in. Somehow my orders always get lost, accidently cancel or didn’t get in with their shipment. They don’t even have the courtesy to call me and let me know what’s going on. I’m so DONE with their BS. And when my contacts finally came they gave me someone else’s contacts. SMH

I’ve been going to Lenscrafters for 10 years and will not be back.
Customer service & quality was very disappointing. Did not feel like they put any effort into retaining me as a customer after purchase.
Last time I bought transitional lenses, they lasted 4 years. This time, I had to replace my lenses right after I bought them because the coating is cheap and caused spots on my lenses. It’s happening again and I haven’t even had them for a year.
I wanted to buy from the store rather than online since they had a good selection & I kept going back there to try on their glasses. In the end, it wasn’t worth it.

I had to exchange my lenses cuz they weren’t a good fit but I found them easily annoyed by my request. There was one optician that was really patient and the rest of the staff just don’t seem to care. I didn’t get any suggestions for my exchange and I just wrapped up quickly and left.
I’m very disappointed and will try to avoid going to this place next time.

This is such a terrible place to shop for contact lens. First of all the reception on the second floor always talk with a bad attitude. Plus they let you to wait for the doctor for a long time without respect to your time. When I tried to reorder my contact lens from the store and I was told that they lost my prescription from the system. Oh well, I would never shop there anymore.

I went in last week, I’ve never been treated with such disrespect! The worse part is that is was the store manager who made me extremely uncomfortable. There was a really great woman who offered to help me find a pair of glasses, I asked if I could just find a pair and then she could quote me a price. That was no problem but the manager, walked over to where my girlfriend and me were looking and she had no problem reprimanding the woman about having left us alone. The manager whispered, to her but not quite quiet enough to let her know we needed to be watched. I can’t help but think she is a predjudice, close minded woman. To come to a business and have my partner walk out not wanting to spend another second there leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. Truly a shame to have someone that shallow running the show!
