Man the level of service at liquor stores sucks, but Liquor Land was great. The manager there is a nice guy and because of that I will be back!!!

Huge liquor store. Sooo much variety. We went in and they were giving samples of don perrion (sp?) It was great. Soo much variety and again very helpful friendly staff. Of you are in the area and want a liquor store that will carry exactly what your looking for, then try this place!

Hands down my favorite liquor store in Boston. GREAT selection (a lot of hard to find bottles here), good prices, and the best service you could ask for. I used to live nearby and started coming for the convenience factor, but now (even after moving to somerville) I still come back here because of the consistently great experience. Quick story: years ago, I brought my father here to pick up a nice bottle while he was in town, and Emmett and him ended up having a quick chat. He still asks me how Gene is (my father’s name) whenever I come in. How is that even possible?

The only liquor store I will go to! Super convenient parking lot which is pretty big so you won’t have to worry about fighting for a spot. If you have any questions about ANY liquor, beer, or wine ask for Emmet. Very knowledgeable about all types of alcohol and just all around the man! Definitely recommend.

As a bartender/​dj i see all kinds of liqour some the store does not have but they do cater to special orders which i do often. Fair pricing, my wine guy helps me out often behind the tall counter. nice spot and very convenient. I just wish they had bartender discounts like some other liqour stores do

This store basically «has everything» but the employees are basically visibly inebriated out of their gourds during every visit. I guess this is semi understandable, but I did witness some VERY unprofessional behavior during a free wine tasting I attended. Basically, the employees were overlooking the crowd and choosing people to toss out which they considered too drunk. (ironicly) Anyhow, I have attended many wine tastings and never witnessed such brash employee behavior, despite the loud giggling and talking that is bound to happen during these events. They also had very questionable taste in who they tossed and how they tossed, some slightly buzzed tossed out, while others, clearly drunk and holding car keys were not approched, as if it were some bizarre purge based on personal stereotypes.

Best prices and widest selection in Boston. Better than Blanchards or Kappy’s on price, for sure. Boss man is such an awesome dude as well.

I was wary of Liquor Land for a while because I made silly assumptions. I don’t really know what those assumptions were based on… maybe the location, but in any case, I was pleasantly surprised with the selection here. Prices are comparable to the area. I will say that they have obscure, hard-​to –find beer, but because not many people in the area but that stuff, some of the beer on the shelves was past its expiration and the refrigerators were not well-​organized. They carry lots of stuff that the locals like and the boat boxes are always well-​stocked!

This place has been my go-​to place for bulk wine for years, completely redirecting me from TJs… But like the other reviewer, the female clerk’s lack of professionalism has convinced me that I should shop local. And given their new policy that if ANY bottle of wine is on SALE then you it doesn’t count towards the 12 bottle discount, I will probably break even without the attitude. The wine selection is very middle of the road, no better than TJs which has better prices, nicer clerks, and a lovely selection of cheese to go with my wine…

Great selection at good prices, especially for Boston. Friendly to those with out of state IDs, unlike many of the other liquor stores in town.

You know this is really a perfectly good liquor store, and has a fantastic selection for the area. In fact, even when I’ve been on the hunt for some slightly stranger alcoholic concoctions to mix into a drink, Liquor Land has not disappointed me.
Don’t expect extremely rare drinks, or local bitters or anything like that. But, for a normal or slightly adventurous bar, this place has you covered. the prices are also reasonable and the staff always friendly and helpful. A solid choice for purchasing your booze for the weekend. :)

Wow, I was the first to review this? That is amazeballs. YAY. Anyway, the new space is great. I was sad when it moved further away, but years later I’m back and it’s actually sort of convenient.
So I dragged the S/​O to a beer tasting here that turned out to be just awesome. He got to nerd out over IPA and I discovered dry hard cider and some tasty porters. Plus, if you get on their email newsletter, you’re privy to their holiday sales — if you think you can find a bottle of St. Germain for $ 29.99 anywhere else you’re dreaming — even in NH it’s more expensive (checked, believe me). Good wine AND beer selection, practically every liquor and/​or liqueur you could need … yeah. Liquor Land is the place to be.

I love this Boston fixture. I remember being 18 and I had just moved to Boston, and when I saw the old location for the first time, it blew my mind because it was so cool and so «urban». I’m all grown up now, and Liquor Land is in a classy new location, and it is still the reliable place to shop for Boston residents.
I love the days before holidays when the place is busy, and it’s kinda fun because everyone is there for the same thing, and that same thing is a fun thing (buying alcohol for the holidays), and so standing in line becomes a time to chat and laugh with other people.
Same with the tastings! There are so few times and places in this town where strangers actually talk to each other. But at the tastings, you want to! You want to hear what other people’s opinions are.
Last but not least, this collection of employees is top notch. They are smart, they are helpful, they are nice, they are funny, they kick ass. I love shopping at Liquor Land.

I know this will make me sound like a total alcoholic, but I love love love this place.
They have a lovely selection of liquor, beer, and wine. It’s a large space, but not overwhelming.
I find the employees to be very friendly and accomodating. For example, I recently wanted a liquor that was no longer being made (Absolut Boston). They informed me they would be getting in one last case, and since I asked, they would be happy to hold some to the side just for me. I managed to pick up 6 bottles because they were so nice about it.
That alone earned them my repeat business.
Seriously, this is a great place to buy your hooch.

You know why I love Liquor Land? Because every year they come through with a keg of Pumpkinhead for our Halloween party. And Mr. Michelle B can’t have Halloween without Pumpkinhead! And please don’t judge us for having a kegerator; we’re grown-​ups, I swear! We own a house!
Beyond the Pumpkinhead, they have a great beer selection and a fairly good hard cider selection as well. Usually you end up having three cider selections — Magners, Original Sin and Woodchuck, but Liquor Land has quite a selection, including some small batch stuff that is a little higher in price but infinitely better than the sugar laden Magners.
For the rest of it, pretty standard booze selection. They have some specials every once in awhile and they do tastings fairly often. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is super easy, they have spots out front and along the side of the building, but taking a left onto Mass Ave from the parking lot is anything but easy. Good thing I live in the opposite direction!

I Love Liquor Land!
There are so few diamonds in the rough in Dorchester this that place sticks out like an Ethiopian in a Weight Watchers store.
I can go to Liquor Land every weekend for the next few years and still find fair priced varieties of wine. The store has special ordered cases of wine for us and they also offer occational wine tastings so one can sample a particular bottle before purchasing. The store is clean and organized, unlike some equal sized stores and you can always find your wine due to each row and shelve being clearly marked by country of origin, grape variety etc and many of the vinos are already rated by tasters for your drinking pleasure.
Oh sure, make no mistake, this is the inner city yo, The Dot, The hood, the ghetto. You may see homeless shelter spillovers paying for the biggest cheapest plastic bottle of vodka with handfuls of coins, or one may witness the staff chasing away some drunken riff-​raff with pee stained pants. After all, not everyone can live and shop in deep suburbia with obese Bonbon eating wives and equally fat children.
The employees of Liquor Land are wonderful. There’s always enough registers open and a staff member is usually roaming the sales floor to help you, or to pounce on some American Indian swiping a bottle. Around Halloween time (Razor Apple Day) Liquor Land workers dress in fun and creative costumes. They’re always upbeat and seem to enjoy their jobs and working together as a team to provide excellent customer service quickly. The employees at the South Bay stores ought to go to Liquor Land and observe how employees should conduct business.
There’s parking in the front and the side of the store but beware of the usual liquor store drunk drivers. What’s up with that death smelling chicken waffle joint next door? I can’t believe people eat that crap, or that they do enough business to stay open. Is it a financial front for some sort of local gangsta to launder his money through? Liquor Land out to rent or purchase that property and expand their store or open a music bar there since there aren’t any good ones in that area.

If you ever have a craving for any or all of the following, Liquor Land should be your destination:
— organic, gluten-​free hard cider
— artisanal rye
— good french champagne (yes I know all champagne is french, but does everyone?)
— hard-​to-​find single malt scotches like Isle of Jura
— one-​off craft-​brewed beer like Rogue and Sam Smith’s Anniversary
— crack heads
They do have it all. Amazing selection, friendly and chatty customer service, good prices, decent amount of parking, and plenty of crack heads buying Olde Thompson with a pile of change.
