Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island

Make-​A-​Wish is a wonderful organization.
I recently donated a car through their «Wheels for Wishes» program:
The car donation process was a breeze. I called Make-​A-​Wish on a Friday afternoon, and the car was picked up by a towing company by Wednesday. I’m guaranteed to get at least a $ 500 tax deduction for the car, and if the car is sold for over $ 500, I can claim the exact amount for which the vehicle is sold as a tax deduction. The towing company also left a form when they picked up the car stating that I’ve donated the car to Make-​A-​Wish, which I really appreciated, since no one was home when the car was picked up. (It’s a little unnerving to just leave car keys and a title in a car on the day of pick up.)
I’m very happy to support the great work of Make-​A-​Wish MA/​RI. Their mission is to «grant wishes for children with life-​threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.»
I personally know a recipient of a trip from the Make-​A-​Wish MA/​RI chapter. The 8 year old boy was overjoyed to get the chance to go to a Monster Truck rally & meet the Monster Truck drivers.
