Whether you enter the MA State House via the «General Hooker» entrance or any of the other back/side doors, you’re sure to be impressed. The statehouse is open for visitors and offers historic sites, including art, displays about the progress of the MA flag, local flags, models, and more. You can catch a tour, watch the legislature in progress, or attend events — I was just here for a lobby day breakfast this morning. It’s also fun to stroll down the halls and pick out which office you’d like to have as your own when you’re treasurer/governor/dictator of the Commonwealth.
The gift shop is also worth a visit — the prices are reasonable and the gifts are high-quality.
