Count your change! I’ve been there three times and twice they’ve tried to short change me. I think this goes beyond negligence and leans towards fraud. An additional .75 — $ 1.00 per order can really add to their bottom line. Regarding their food, it’s extremely greasy and served cold. Make sure you have napkins to wipe off the excess grease and a microwave to warm the food.

Solid food for a good price. Not the best but they’re consistently okay. They’re never bad which is good. If you’re on the run its much better than the alternatives.

Working around the area, it is pretty much a given that I’ll come to the food court in South Station for lunch on most days when I don’t pack my own lunch. Normally I’ll grab a quick coffee from Dunkin or a slice from Regina’s but today I wanted something different and tried out this place. What a let down. Now their prices are a bit much but at this point it’s kind of standard. Their boneless pork spare ribs and general Gao chicken wasn’t bad but nothing spectacular. The thing that was a compete letdown was their fried rice. It had absolutely no flavor. It was like eating plain white rice. The rice is what was supposed to bring the whole meal together and it was nothing but a disappointment.

My boyfriend ate here on Sunday and got serious food poisoning… Don’t know the exact items he got all I know is 2 days later and he is still throwing up and in a lot of pain. Good luck eating here.

If u don’t want anybody to sit next to you on the train, get your Chinese food from Master Wok! Why I got 2 seats to myself on the train– 1) the ladies at master wok kindly offered to put my food in a plastic bag. I was careless and didn’t hold the bag upright. Before I knew it, there was grease and sauce spilling out into a corner of the bag. Surely people around me were turned off and made a mental note not to sit next to me. 2) I got on the train and was extremely hungry. Because everyone could smell my delicious spicy chicken, nobody sat next to me. The lady sitting near me on her Starbucks coffee diet stared in envy and looked as if she wanted a bite. This is no 5 star Chinese restaurant. It’s Americanized Chinese fast food. While I usually do not eat fake Chinese food, I was extremely hungry and couldn’t bring myself to eat a sandwich and wanted rice. So I didn’t really have a choice but to indulge in Chinese food with way too much sugar and soy sauce. I

It is what it is. This is Chinese fast food, nothing more nothing less. Don’t expect an incredible epicurean adventure here. It’s crude and effective. I liked the flavor of the mixed vegetables… The rice was slightly old, but still quite edible. On the run food that isn’t pizza or a burger.

Their food is pretty tasty and decently priced when considering their awesome portions. When I stop by here for lunch(I work nearby) or while I’m waiting for our joke of a transportation system to do it’s job, I always leave Master Wok with a full stomach. The employees behind the counter are polite and keep a smile. As far as integrity goes, they once accidentally double-scanned my card due to a system delay, when I pointed it out, they apologized profusely and offered to refund me for both transactions(the real one and the mistake). However I insisted I pay for the real transaction. I was impressed with their willingness to lose a meal for free just to keep a customer happy.

The location of this South Station food station is the reason why Master Wok has so much business. It’s convenient, already prepared so you get your food right away, and edible. If you just need something quick, have a taste for Asian food, or you’re just traveling and you are stuck in this location for a bit then I guess you have an excuse to go here. For people like myself who are just commuting home or to work and have other options then I suggest you give your business to someone else. I got two sides(chicken and 2 crab rangoons) with no rice and I was charged the same price as the combo special. I paid for my food with no problem because that’s what I wanted but, the problem occurred when I asked the staff why are two sides the same price as a combo. After I paid for my food I noticed different prices for different side orders and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t being ripped off. Apparently asking a simple question was a problem. The ladies gave me a lot of attitude, became defensive, never answered my question and showed no type of customer service what so ever. I’ve bought food from them before as it was convenient for me and I wasn’t charged $ 8.00 for two sides($ 9.50 because I got water). Honestly if they cared about me as a customer and made me understand that I’m not being ripped off then I would have still considered to do business with them. Because they don’t care I won’t be doing business with this company ever again.

Food is fantastic. Environment in South Station’s food court is what it is, a food court. If you are a fan of near perfect Chinese BBQ spare ribs, sesame chicken, etc. this is the place. Foodwise, this is right up there with Dragon Garden in Davis Square, Great Wall in JP, and the other Master Wok in Cambridgeside Galleria.

I did an internship near South Station yrs ago, and now doing another internship 5 mins away from there. I have eaten at Master Wok more than 50 times already and pretty satisfied with them. I won’t say it is the best Chinese food but I think it is decent enough. Among those South Station food vendors, I think it is the best one for me.(of course I have eaten from all of them!)

Hair in my food. Asked for chicken and brocolli entrée; realized when I looked at my receipt they charged me as a combo meal — its a minor cost difference but still upsetting. Portioning was small — I don’t eat much but was still hungry afterwards.

I’ve come here a handful of times and I’ve been disappointed every time. The beef and broccoli doesn’t have any flavor, the staff is rude, chicken looks like its been sitting there all day(and I always go around noon time), and the lo mein is very oily. I would definitely go somewhere else and not waste my money on this place.

This South Station location just had a staff change and the new girls are rude. Their chicken is dried out. They charge the same for Veggie Delight as a regular combo even though its just white rice & tofu, The previous girls charged $ 3.99 for Veggie Delight. When I asked why they were charging $ 6.49 the girl said it was a combo. LOL! Even the menu board says white rice costs less. They have seen better days indeed. Otherwise their other items taste the same.

When it comes to fast food for me, 4 stars is the top mark, and this Master Wok earned it — albeit surprisingly, and perhaps because of an error. The ladies are in such a rush. I told one of them I wanted 3 choices with noodles. She put in a ton of noodles, asked me for my first choice, added it to the box, and closed it. Whoa! She then added the other two, and the box was really full. Nice portion. By mistake? I walked with my daughter to the Children’s Museum and we ate outside. The food was delicious. My daughter, who had been quite picky over the last days, couldn’t get enough, and neither could I. Really, really good.

I like their tofu dish, and their vegetables. I also get steamed rice. I like that these dishes are mild. And I like that I don’t reek of garlic after I eat here. I also don’t get MSG side-effects when I eat here. Therefore, fortunately, maybe they do not use garlic and MSG.

This Master Wok is located in South Station and I find that chain restaurants in Airports, train stations, etc. are never as good as their standalone locations, so keep that in mind. The food looked really good, which is why I chose it over the other restaurants there. However, I was a little disappointed in the the general tso chicken. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t look as good as it tastes. They did give me half friend rice and half noodles in my combo plate, which is a plus. Also, the noodles and rice were pretty good. As far as fast food chinese, I don’t think you can beat panda express. Master Wok is a level below panda express in my opinion.

It’s a fairly run of the mill food court Chinese place; nothing special here whatsoever. Beware if you are sensitive to MSG as I’m almost entirely certain that the food is loaded with it. If not, there’s *something* in every dish I’ve had that bids your stomach to do a double take and complain. The selection is fine for the price provided that you can stomach it. Don’t get me wrong as it tastes ok; it’s the digestive tract that ends up differing in opinion. The staff is definitely standoffish even when it’s not busy, sometimes to the point of being rude. All in all, there are much better places in South Station as far as food is concerned but portions for the price are pretty decent here.

Fairly average fast-food Chinese restaurant. Nothing to write home about. Not a great experience, but not a bad experience, either.

The ladies who work here are SO rude! Delete a star. During the lunch rush, they will intentionally overlook you if you are standing plum smack in front of them, and ask the suit behind you for their order. GRRR. Most of the food is decent, though. The pepper steak is delicious, but be careful they will try to give you all peppers and no beef, then they cop attitudes when you ask for less pepper and more beef, but they give it to you. Delete a star. Stay away from the pepper chicken– the chicken is dry, dry, dry. It’s a food court in South Station, what did you really expect?

I go through South Station frequently, going home to New Jersey and back again for holidays breaks and weekends. I always try and stop at this Master Wok. Most times I am successful. I usually take the bus because it’s cheap, but I still try and get to this Master Wok even though it’s in the train terminal. I usually pass through the the train terminal on the way to the bus terminal getting off the Red Line anyways. The food is good and I always order either chicken with broccoli and white rice, or the vegetable lo mein with white rice. It may be greasy fast Chinese food, but it’s good and I like it. It’s always been very consistent. The girls who work there are pleasant and do their jobs. Finding one of the small round tables to sit in in South Station is the heard part though! All over, a nice location.
