Despite the price gouging that seems to take place at this location, I find that the food I order is almost always piping hot. The ice cream machine is hit or miss, which sucks in the summer… & the tables could use a wipe down more often. If you do decide to use the bathroom here, you will need a coin. I suggest knocking on the door before inserting your coin as you will lose it if someone else is already in there.

Before going to a McDonald’s, one generally doesn’t have that high of expectations. This particular location has not even met those extreme of low standards. Often there is a very short 4’10″ day manager who is not only ignorant but incredibly arrogant at the cash register. More than once I have ordered an item that they have advertised on their outside window only to be told by this gentleman that they either do not have it or it is no longer at this discounted price. In disbelief, I point to the poster sometimes even located above his head and as stubborn as a mule, he refuses to acknowledge its existence. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are ALWAYS out of ketchup, the soda machines are frequently without carbonation, the sanitation is questionable at best and you can expect to be asked for change both inside and outside of the establishment by homeless people. Some of you may be asking why I would return to such an establishment and my only reply is Boston’s expensive and McDonald’s is cheap.

This is much better than the Kenmore Square McDonald’s, because the burgers are assembled to order, as opposed to heat-lamped. Simple as that. The food was still warm when i got home 15 minutes later, too. Even the fries. It’s a perfectly adequate McDonald’s.

This McDonald’s is sooooooooooo terrible. I don’t know why it’s still in business. The service is terrible, the food is «ewww» and they don’t have anythign but cheeseburgers, BIgMacs, and fries… SOGHETTO!

I go to this McDonalds because its close to my school, cheap, and convenient. Honestly, a hamburger, fries, and chicken nuggets here really isn’t going to taste much different than anywhere else. However, this location leaves much to be desired. Its unclean atmosphere just welcomes the hobos, beggars, and other sketch people from off the street right into the place and the staff just allows them to harass people for money and what not. Their ketchup dispenser is always running out, more often than not. I usually have to go up to the counter and ask for ketchup packs. They also run out of straws on a regular basis, but at least replace them with kiddie straws that they probably just go out and buy. Sometimes the soda machine isn’t working, but every time you go to pour yourself a drink from there, there is this gross and sticky syrupy stuff that always gets on your hands, no matter what drink you get. They have yet to fix that, and I think someone has yet to complain about it.

This restaurant is okay. Pretty cheap prices for what you get. Some reviewers think that the food is bad, but I say maybe you don’t have an appreciation for regional style, which might not be the same as the food you grew up with. Try to have an open mind! One thing I did not like was the menu. It was written on this giant back-lit board above the cash register. Oh and that is another thing — they don’t have waiters here. I can only assume it is some new fad where you have to go up to the«waiter» and ask for your food at the register. It is almost like you are waiting on them. Weird. I waited for the maitre d’hotel for like half an hour before I figured out what was going on! I have never felt so old! So yeah, this place is very hip and culturally cutting edge. I could tell by the number of people in there who keep the stickers on their basketball hats. You might not feel comfortable at first, but I encourage you to go into the experience with an open mind. For a tourist, I would recommend this restaurant, McDonald’s, for lunch, followed by a leisurely stroll up across the MIT bridge. Then for dinner, Dunkin Donuts or Craigie on Main. Those are both pretty good restaurants in Central Square, and I have been to both several times.

This McDonald’s has certainly earned its reputation as the worst on the face of the earth. I went here the other day and could not believe how fantastically awful this location could be. Forget the fact that they have basically no dollar menu, they also have no grilled items to speak of. Yep, no grilled chicken of any kind! Oh, and the place is staffed by the most incompetent people ever. Given their proximity to Berkeley, I can only assume they have only survived because there are enough students patronizing the place that dont know any better. Let me reiterate: «DONOTEVERGOHERE!» I dont care if its the apocalypse and you need food and rations to last the onslaught of a zombie horde, DONOTGOHERE! You’ll likely be served by zombies too incompetent to even eat your brains correctly. WORST McDONALD’S EVER!

As far as McDonald’s goes, you don’t expect too much anyway — but this was pretty ridiculous. I don’t even like going as a last resort. The employees have a constantly depressed look on their faces, and I tried to bring up their spirits by being polite and smiling, but was only greeted with scowls. The quality of the food for some reason seems to taste worse than it already is at most MD’s — I don’t know if its just the environment I’m in or that it really is just all around bad… Really do not recommend this place at all, even for a quick snack — go across the street to Wendy’s(even though they don’t speak English very well, at least they’re polite).

This is the worst mcdonalds on earth. Small. Surly staff. Very limited menu. Does mcdonalds corporate even do QC on thier franchises? The wendy’s across the street is a much better bet.

I paid for a chocolate shake and was later informed that they didn’t have any chocolate shakes left. I asked if they had any shakes and they said no. The manager took my order. So he didn’t know the machine was broken before? Why wouldn’t he know that the machine was broken? Why didn’t I get reimbursed? I don’t know. Someone, explain this to me because it’s been two weeks and I have yet to make sense of the situation…

This is without a doubt the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. It’s not open early(definitely not at 6), not open late, they’re always slow with their orders, they don’t do special offers or coupons, and they only have four items on the dollar menu. Seating is very limited — probably room for 20 people at most. Definitely not up to par with even the lowest of McDonald’s standards.
