Doorman did not allow us into the bar as my driver’s license ID was considered foreign(Canada). Doorman then asked for 20 $ to be tucked behind my ID and he would let us in. Ridiculous. Bribery to get into a bar? Nah thanks I’ll find something better that Boston has to offer.

We started the night at a different location and it was so horrible, we were throwing in the towel and walked past here, being the Maid of Honor and trying to save the Bachelorette Party we decided to try it out. Justin(I think I recalled his name) at the door was so friendly and welcoming. The DJ was great and the scene so much better! This place saved the night! I’d love to try it again and possibly the food!

good strong drinks and very nice servers, but the music got way too loud way too early. 9:00pm is not the time to crank the house music. We only stayed for one drink because of it. It is more spacious than I thought from the street. I wish I didn’t have to go through the adjoining hotel lobby for the restrooms, but that’s not their fault.

This is literally the worst bar I’ve ever been to — bad drinks, terrible broken speakers playing gangam style in 2016 and faux chic décor filled with people that really want to pretend they are rich. I actually suggest you come just to see how poorly executed a paint by numbers hotel bar can be. And to top it all off people are talking about astrology very loudly.

I was here last night with my date. We wanted to have apps and some drinks. Low key Saturday night. We ordered the lobster sliders and Caesar salad with chicken. Lobster sliders were ok, the Cesar salad was awful. Our salad looked old, and the chicken tasted like it was in a microwave. Our waitress was attentive and we really enjoyed her. Dj came in around 10ish, music was good!

Very classy place used TableList to reserve my VIP table and loved. Door service was hassle free, took care of me once I arrived. They escorted me to my table, server was polite and was there for every order I made. DJ’s played a variety of everything, anything requested was played. Not crowded at all, bottle service was a bit expensive but worth it to bring in the New Year. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone just trying to have a simple night not too much of the club scene.

Sat at the bar. The bartenders were fun the music was odd. I would go again though to try them on a non holiday weekend.

Pricey, sub par drinks, and horrible(racist?) service. I ordered the lychee martini a few times based off others’ favorable reviews and my personal affinity to the fruit, but received nothing but inconsistency. Sometimes it is all juice and other times just vodka. I’ve had similar experiences with their other cocktails. Service is particularly bad here. Other than one young male bartender who was very friendly but couldn’t make a drink to save his life, every other bartender, male and female, made me wait a very long time, even when it wasn’t a busy night. One time, the male bartender made a conscious effort to avoid eye contact as I obviously tried to get his attention to order a drink. Instead he started rearranging things at the bar and actively attended every white patron, until I walked out and vowed never to come back!

Horrible to hotel guests. There are so many other, friendly bars nearby. The hotel is good but the bar is very sub par.

Came here on a Friday night at 9pm to meet another couple and it was pretty emply. I think there were a total of 3 other people in the bar. There were more staff than customers, which made it slightly uncomfortable. We had one drink and left. When we were leaving a DJ had arrived and started playing more lively music. The space is nice and the DJ was decent, but I wish there were more people there. It may get better later in the evening. I will try to go back around 10:30pm another night to see what it’s like.

As a guest of this hotel probably 3x a year I have never had worse service than this evening. I was repeatedly ignored and then when I finally got the bartenders attention I was insulted. Don’t come here if you don’t like douche bags.

I never get picked up. EVER. I know… hard to believe, considering the awesome this body packs. But it’s true. Never. Then I ventured into Minibar with a few friends. 15 minutes in… 3 cuties… one of which was a certified hottie… and I was the talk of the group. True story. It’s a small, simple lounge with bottle service options(I’ll never figure that one out considering how small the place is), but it’s comfortable, casual, and enough cheese to make any deli section jealous. But… alas, as much as we hate to admit it… cheese has its required days to balance out the universe, and this is why Minibar exists. For cheese to congregate. To watch the mold build. for the stink to stand out. For the yeast infection to spread. It’s cute. Probably more deserving of a 3-star ranking… but hey… I got picked up.

I hate to write a review like this but however this is called for. This past week I was having drinks with a few friends at Minibar. I left my suit jacket on the back of my chair upon exiting. About 30 minutes later I returned in an attempt to retrieve the jacket. I was not allowed back in by a staff member who was working security claiming they were closed(There was still a guest sitting at the bar I could see through the window). I explained that I was just trying to get my jacket back. I was told that I needed to come back tomorrow. I returned the next day as soon as they opened. I asked a staff member if they could bring my jacket for me. After waiting about 10 minutes they said they didn’t have a jacket and took my phone number down. This is absolutely ridiculous and I am extremely upset with this establishment. This was a pretty expensive suit jacket(Baroni) and the situation was not handled properly at all. I hate to be accusatory but someone at this establishment stole my jacket. When I exited the bar with my friends there were only other 2 guests at the bar total and my jacket was sort of hidden away in a more secluded part of the bar(ruling out a fellow patron took the jacket). Not only do they not have an answering machine on their phone, they don’t open until 5pm. So when calling to try to find out about the coat I wasn’t able to be helped AND even during open business hours the phone wasn’t answered for 4 – 5 minutes. Thanks for nothing. Great cocktails and good service. In the summer nice to sit outside on the couches. Its on a quiet street so not much pedestrian traffic. The cocktails were great and the service efficient. Recommend as a pre dinner and a post dinner destination(that’s what we did :))

Large group. Everyone got one beer/drink. Split the check on credit cards(yeah, annoying, but we thought we were being charged separate). $ 17 each? My drink tasted like pure vodka(where’s my soda?). And it was super slow service. +1 star for the comfy chairs and, not thinking about the check or trying to order, we had fun there.

We stopped here in our casual clothes for a quick drink or two before heading over to our Hotel across the street… thought hey a quick night cap! One drink turned into three and the next thing you knew we were looking at the menu. Now I am not one to usually get bottle service because A. its way overpriced for liquor and that’s just a crime and B. its just douchy. But hey we had just come back from an exhausting shopping trip and doing all the touristy stuff and thought hey only $ 115 for a bottle of Belevedere? sh*t we can do that. Now I know my initial reaction was that’s hella cheap and its too good to be true but we were in one of those little hotel bars so I thought hey maybe this is for real. Um no. The waitress comes over, sets up our table with the typical ice bucket, glasses, mixers etc… all fancy and THEN the bottle comes over and is presented to us like one of the finest bottles of wine(hear violins playing in the back) I bursted out laughing! thank God I didn’t have a sip from my drink because that would’ve been all over the waitress! The bottle was literally the one above the mini ones you find in the mini bar… I mean seriously? I was more embarrassed that the bottle sunk into the bucket itself it was so small. Well that’s what $ 115 gets ya! At the end of the night we started with three rounds of drinks, and ended with two mini bottles of Belvedere all in all it was still a bargain for a great time, place started getting busy around 10ish and the girl DJ played R&B and Top hits, by the time you knew it we were dancing with our neighbors sitting next to us! Unexpected good time! Pros: Music, trendy, crowd, good service Cons: Ridiculously small bottle service *gave it 4 stars just because this was one of our best Boston nights.

Great place to hang out after work. Make sure to go on Wednesday nights to hear live djs. If it’s martini kind of night, go for the lychee martini. Nom nom nom.

A typical sleek, upscale bar you would expect to find not too far from Newbury Street with an interesting Euro modern flare(think: if IKEA had a bar). Serves as a great spot if you like to drink among a young, laid-back crowd(mostly young professionals). They are not joking when they call this MiniBar… you may have to wait outside for awhile or stand, especially on the busiest nights(Fri, Sat), but this isn’t always the case. On some nights, they have a great DJ, who plays a little bit of everything. However, this isn’t the sort of place where people dance(that’s what Storyville next door is for), so I would refrain from that unless you don’t mind being stared at. Power to you if you do though! Most importantly, they have great cocktails here. The better ones: Lychee Martini, the rose-flavored cocktail, and the Chile Margarita(it burns like no other and I love it). Most of the time when I am elsewhere, I am pretty satisfied with just a gin and tonic, but here, it is important to go for something more artisanal. Upon request, they can make a mean cherry vanilla splash(not on the drink menu).
