Ok. Let’s get the obvious out of the way. This small, narrow liquor store is in the«cut», on a block and in a neighborhood that has seen its’ share of violence over the years. There IS bullet proof casing around the entire inside of the store. Money and goods are exchanged through openings in the glass, and drawers like at the drive thru bank. There ARE, at any given time, numerous very sketchy neighborhood characters hanging out on the corner near the store and across the street. They won’t bother you, except to maybe ask you for change. However, you will usually see BPD(Boston Police Dept.) presence out on surveillance as well. As for the store– GREAT selection on most spirits, EXCELLENT prices, and super friendly employees. It all kind of has that«neighborhood/family owned business/we know many of the customers» feel. You will ALWAYS leave with a smile on your face, either from a conversation with one of the clerks, or from something observed while watching the animated customers waiting in line. I like it. I just go during daylight hours.
