Average food from a small Italian restaurant on an adorable Boston street in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. Ambiance seemed nice but I ordered takeout on June 9. Had a half portion of the beet salad: arugula, beets, cranberries, almond slices, goat cheese, orange slices, Italian dressing. Nothing special, and the greens were wilted. Also had the ziti boscaiola, which was VERY salty– pasta, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, prosciutto, light cream tomato sauce. Mushrooms were overlooked and a little tough; overall the flavors were overcome by salt.
Overall, average food quality and presentation, priced a little high ($ 25 for a half salad and pasta dish).

Delicious food – i recommend the french toast – and the friendliness of the place only adds to the yummy cuisine! We walked here every morning from MGH while in Boston.

Had an amazing gazpacho here on Saturday. So so chicken sandwich, perfect éclair, but a good gazpacho is hard to find. This one was tart, chilled, very vegetal, finely blended (I want liquefy not chunky) and came with the perfect garnish of several spoonfuls of avocado on top and a chewy roll on the side. My friend had the warm tomato basil soup, also wonderful. Trust in the tomatoes here!

Came upon this little place by chance when I was wondering the neighborhood. Some things not labelled so had to double check to see if something was banana bread. It was so I bought it and it was very tasty.

Awesome brunch! Love the chicken sausage hash so much.

I really wanted to like panificio — I might give it another shot sometime. One of my poached eggs was served too well cooked, it was almost hard boiled. The place was so busy I couldn’t flag anyone to come fix it. The atmosphere is nice and really chill. I like the order at the counter style. Glad we got there at 11 on a sunday for brunch because we had a party of 6 and we got really lucky with snagging a table! It was crazy busy afterwards!

We are here two days in a row for brunch because we enjoyed our brunch here yesterday. My husband had the eggs benedict while I had the eggs florentine. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the sauce was great. Their lattes are also great. Today i tried their chicken sausage hash which had a lot of flavor and my husband tried their smoke salmon hash. He didnt care so much for the avocado with salmon but overall enjoyed it.
This place was packed at noon yesterday and today, on a Sunday at 2:00, there are plenty of seats

Wait staff very friendly and service was quick. Food was decent. I got the pancakes and bacon which was great. My boyfriend got the chicken sausage hash which was ehh. The hash was very dry, but not awful. Juice was very fresh.

There was a line around the block at the first place we went to so we ended up here. Had the chicken hash with poached eggs, breakfast burrito, and side of bacon. Chicken hash was an awesome healthy [?] twist on corned beef hash. Breakfast burrito was solid but slacking on the inside– a lot of tortilla. Lastly, side of bacon was a complete joke. Everything was great until they brought it out. Barely 3 pieces of paper thin bacon; it was 3 dollars… I asked if there was a mistake and if they only put that little bacon to a side order. Look at the photo. I was furious when she said that was it. At least bring some more over when you’re aware a customer isn’t happy. 2 more paper thin pieces would have been OK. Anyways it was good breakfast besides that. They also have pizza, and it looked decent. I’d go back but for the love of God 5 pieces of that paper thin bacon to an order…

So we strolled in late (10:00) and asked if they were still open for drinks. They said yes and sat us for a beer. About 20 min later, a woman starts to freak out about the restaurant being closed and she didn’t know, and did we know? We got the hint and realized they wanted us to go so we paid and left. As we walked away, the woman who had previously freaked out and left, walked back in again with her friend and started to hang out with the bartender.
Seriously, I have no problem being told it’s time to go. Why did you even sit us? Why didn’t you just tell us you’re closing?
I’ve lived in Beacon Hill awhile, their food’s not good enough for me to go back after that Jack assery.
Spend your money how you want, but I’d spend it elsewhere. There’s plenty of options.

Came here for a late breakfast on Sunday. Pretty busy in here. Service was friendly. Chocolate chip pancakes were really good, came with three of them. The chocolate milk was also very tasty. The eggs and sausage were also tasty

I met a friend here after work earlier this week. Meeting at Panaficio was her choice. Even though I am in this neighborhood regularly I hadn’t been in here for years and I was a bit skeptical about it as I didn’t recall anything too special about my previous visits.
However, I was surprised by what a pleasant little spot this turned out to be for a glass of wine and a couple of appetizers. I am still not «wowed» but it was a good choice for that rainy night.
I don’t know what kind of Cabernet I was drinking… I was too busy chatting to think to ask, but it was delicious! The pour was a generous one too and the price, at 9 dollars a glass was certainly fair. It was so tasty, I had a second glass.
For apps we ordered the calamari and the fish tacos. The calamari was a very small portion and could have been crisper but was tasty. And while not the best or most authentic, the fish tacos were good too.
The best parts of winding up here turned out to be the efficient and nice server, the fact that it wasn’t too crowded in (as places on Beacon Hill can tend to get) and the two delicious glasses of wine I had.
So I just might return again for another after-​work drink/​apps/​chat session.

«Good pizza and salad restaurant»
This is a good casual restaurant. We got a caesar salad and a pizza and took it to our hotel. The pizza was relatively small for the price of a large one.

Tuesday night quick dinner after an appointment with family. It was a great meal from start to finish. It was a weeknight so we were looking for something filling and to get home.
Service was really nice. Young families were there and they were treated with calm and equal attention.
We had a bruschetta app, Mozzarella was small cubes and diced tomatoes and some carmelized onions…, good… BUT the balsamic vinegar was the best I have ever had. Drizzled all over and on the plate. Come to find out its home made. Worth thetrip alone. That good.
My companion had the capresse sandwich with prosciutto. Loved it.
I had the gnocchi bolognese. Great portion and fantastic dish. Came hot and rich. Meat sauce was pork mixture I think. Cleary everything home made.
Tables were small.
I would definitely go back. And again.

It is a rare occasion when a restaurant is so appalling and absurdly disappointing that you feel absolutely compelled to warn the WORLD! Not just Boston or the patrons of Beacon Street, but the WORLD! Should I begin with the under baked albino pale rolls, you know the ones that were a giant raw dense yeast ball? OR the over dressed, oily wine colored mess that was disguised as bruschetta because it was incorrectly prepared with cheese curds and basalmic soaked onion strings? OR the underdone raviolis that were still hard and cold when they showed up on my plate as being edible? OR would you like me to tell you about the pepperoni pizza that looked like it came out of yellow Jeno’s box it was only a notch above the rectangular pizza we used to be served as children in the school cafeteria?
The nail is in… the cuisine should be buried 9 feet under ground, and if this establishment doesn’t make some drastic changes it soon will meet a similar fate. 1996… is really nothing in the restaurant industry.
What’s even more hilarious is that the website confirmed its own tradition of baking failure-​apparently 3 generations worth of inept bakers. Publishing a questionable heartfelt of story of how «Grampy Spags would bring home the leftover donuts on summer days and Chris would dole them out to all the kids on the block and they would have donut wars, which resulted in keeping the local raccoons and dogs happy, well fed…»
So apparently even the children back then didn’t want to eat them they were so horrible! And the only thing they were good for was lobbing them at each other for food wards and then poisoning innocent local fauna that probably died of obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

Guess I shouldn’t be surprised that a family that deep fries bread has no idea how to bake bread.
So what was edible here? The clam chowder was passable, but could have used more potatoes and flour to appropriately thicken it. The fusilli was prepared al denta, the pancetta was fresh, and the pasta wasn’t over dressed.
The service is a hot mess because there are 2 frazzled servers trying their best to attend to all the tables. Thus the food arrives cold and there is little time for normal pleasantries of the service industry. It’s like eating in a Russian military barrack. Here is your food eat it and be quiet. Don’t worry I tipped you 20% anyway…
Then…when we asked for dessert she told us all they had left was one cupcake, one whoopie pie, and one something else I knew I didn’t want to eat. How embarrassing is that?! A bakery with no baked goods??? LOL

Thank for the very unforgettable experience for there is nothing superb about this place. I will now have nightmares of pale uncooked giant dough balls attacking my throat and suffocating me every time I see a carbohydrate.

Went here for a late breakfast/​early lunch. My boyfriend ordered the veggie pizza which was pretty good and I got the egg white brunch with toast. Neither of them were super amazing but they were good. My eggs were covered in butter though which I wasn’t happy about. The man who took our order seemed confused with us and a little impatient but the food came out fast which was good.

Good portions for a good price. We ordered the huevos rancheros, chicken hash, breakfast burrito– all delicious and fresh-​tasting, not greasy at all.
They also have lots of tasty pastries– too full to try though.

This is a hidden gem in Boston, and I think everyone should visit them for breakfast. The croissant sandwiches are to die food and the sausage was great. The desserts were also mouthwatering and tasty. I highly recommend it.

Good brunch place in Beacon Hill. I have not had the chance to try others in the area but this place will satisfy you.
You order food at the counter and they bring you the food after you find your own table. I got Eggs Benedict which was not overdone and overall good. No complaints about their food. Their presentation is nice.
I also got the Huevos Rancheros which you can get pretty much elsewhere just like the Eggs Benedict. But this plate served with flour tortilla (I do not see that often). It’s good if you want to use your hands with the tortilla. I am a fan of Huevos Rancheros and they did not mess it up.
Service was fine. They were nice. It was a bit crowded, but no issues finding a seat.
This is a typical brunch place. It was not the best, nor was it the worst and I would eat here again.

No clue why this place has 3 stars average, I think it is amazing! Came here for a low cost breakfast after staying at the Liberty Hotel and not wanting to pay $ 30 a person for breakfast lol. Short walk away. The place was cute, small, great breakfast option. Order at the counter, pay, take a number, and sit down. When the food is ready it will be brought to your table. I love that style of «order at the counter» quick breakfast!
Fresh squeezed OJ was lie candy! My smoked salmon eggs Benedict with avocado relish was so delicious. And the potatoes are bangin! My boyfriends breakfast burrito wasn’t as big as I expected but he enjoyed it. The heverous rancheros was so large it took up nearly 2 seats of the table top!
Delicious, quick, good prices. Good service also, but the place was so packed on a Sunday noon it was hard to find a seat. So get there early!
