I have been to several taco places and I was expecting more — not only on quality, but also quality. I had a crispy chicken taco. I do not feel that the price lined up with what I got.

Apparently my comments were heard, and the owners of this place made some big changes! Here’s a list of changes made. 1. CHEAPER food! They have an egg, bean & cheese burrito for $ 3 in the morning. They dropped their prices on the potato taco by nearly a dollar! 2. Revamping their kitchen. I saw some new equipment, new fryers, etc. I’m ready for some big changes. 3. Taco Tuesdays is great! Free water bottle with my meal is such a nice perk. 4. Better sign placing, easier to read. The big surfboard with the menu is in front of the cashier, instead of being placed in the back behind the cashier. I like it when a simple review online makes an impact. Thank you, Pedro’s Tacos, for hearing us and making your product even better.

Solid fish tacos. Homemade chips and salsa and guac. Nothing to bitch about. Lots to love about.

This review is for the $ 3 breakfast burrito with beans, eggs, and cheese. It was fantastic, just the right proportions of ingredients and I love the price. The eggs are fresh, made to order so I called in the order this morning to avoid the wait. There is a salsa bar with spicy red salsa, a green tomatillo salsa, limes, and pickled jalapenos. The interior is clean and tastefully decorated, and they have several flat screens which were playing the news when I came in. The staff are very friendly and brightened up my morning. The burrito itself is a full size burrito which I have trouble finishing. Next time I’ll ask if they can make a smaller version because I hate wasting food.

Overall, a solid lunch spot for some tasty tacos. I’ve been here a couple of times for lunch. I can’t say I’ve sampled much of the menu, but maybe that’s because I tried the famous fish taco the first time I visited, and was so pleased I stuck with it. The people working the lunch counter have always been friendly too! tl;dr — My fish tacos have always been tasty. If you are in the area and craving tacos, I would recommend Pedro’s.

Pedro’s Tacos is AMAZING. I lived in San Clemente for a long time so I’m biased, but I could eat here every day. Extremely friendly staff, and excellent Fish Taco’s. It seems everyone is starting to serve these now, but none of them have the same taste in my opinion. It’s all about the cabbage and the SAUCE. It’s like runny sour cream that tastes like the nectar of the gods. Obviously they are priced like an Urban restaurant, which I understand. The prices in San Clemente were much much lower. I could have a bag full of food for 5 bucks there, while in Boston that gets me one taco. But it’s still worth it. Thank You Pedro’s

I had the Fish Taco and my friend had the Carne Asada. The fish taco fixings… salsa, cabbage, and the special sauce(like a cilantro based mayo) were fresh and delicious. My buddy raved about the marinated beef and fresh guac on his Carne. I’m so tired of the usual fast food options(subs, burgers, dogs, etc.), so this would be a refreshing and often visited place if it were closer to me. The service was friendly and quick(and it was very busy on Friday lunch). Love this place and will go back!

My favorite tacos in the city! I come here frequently for lunch as it is a short walk from my office. The fish and steak tacos are great, but my absolute favorite is the potato taco with cheese(a hash brown with cole slaw, salsa and melted cheese). I highly recommend getting a side of the green sauce to go along with it! You can get this taco in burrito form as well, but make sure to have a coffee afterwards if you plan on getting any work done, as it is extremely filling!

The minute I walked in I was in love with the smell, intoxicatingly Mexican and I wanted food NOW! I got the Grilled Chicken Burrito and was very pleased. The guac is delish, the salsa so fresh and just the right amount of kick and the was chicken tender and flavorful. I cannot wait to come back and try the tacos! The staff was friendly, quick and focused. Loved the little atmosphere and was so happy I was in and out fairly quick during the lunch hour rush. This place looks kitschy and hole in the wall to avoid, but in no way is it! Tucked away on Bromfield people may miss it in the mainstream Downtown Crossing hustle and bustle, but in no way should be looked over!

Some of the greatest tacos in this great state of Massachusetts. I think that it might be one of those things where the ingredients are a little fresher, the spices are a little heartier, and the staff is a little happier. Great water too? Not sure why but the cup of water I got was amazingly refreshing! Go figure right?!

The staff is so so so friendly. They let us try a couple of different fillings before ordering since it was our first time. I ordered the carne asada and fish tacos, but I wasn’t super impressed. I want to try the shrimp tacos next time. I also thought it was expensive for one taco. NYC can figure out how to serve up fresh quality tacos for under $ 4 so I’m not sure why Boston has such a hard time providing cheap tacos — all the tacos here are over $ 4. I’ll be back and it’s certainly worth trying if you like tacos.

LOVED the fish tacos here! Four stars — at least — for those alone. I lived in Southern CA for a few years, and while there developed a true love for fish tacos. Sadly, this simple dish(as well as good, authentic Mexican food in general) is surprisingly hard to find in the Northeast, even in the biggest cities, but Pedro’s nails it perfectly. I was only in Boston for a short stay, but once I discovered Pedro’s, I came back for repeat visits. In addition to the fish tacos, the carne asada tacos were also very good. I would happily order either of those again. And again, and again, and again. Small, casual place, quick service. Not a ton of seating, but it seems like many people get takeout, so there were always at least a few seats available when I stopped by.

I like to try different things off the menu, but I regretted it this time. Be aware of the portion size for the bowls! They are legit soup cup portions for $ 7-$ 12. On the receipt, it also says«low carb.» I thought it would just substitute the tortilla for rice. I thought wrong. Never again. It was just a cup of cabbage, sauce, meat, and salsa. Had to return back in line for a taco to satisfy my hunger. Usually I grab the Shrimp Burrito with added rice(Lupe’s Mistake Burrito), which is always delicious. Going to stick with that when I come here. Chips, guac, and salsa are expensive additions($ 2 each roughly), but they really round out the meal. Tacos start off at $ 5 after tax. The ladies here are always so nice.

My search is over. Ever since I moved to Boston from southern California, 3 years ago, I’ve been on a quest for the best Mexican food in the city. This is it. The tacos are simply amazing. You have to try the fish tacos, they’re some of the best I’ve ever had. The shrimp, carne asada, and chicken tacos won’t let you down. I haven’t yet made it here for the breakfast burritos, but that’s next on my list. My only qualm with this place is it’s not open on weekends, and closes a little early on weekdays, at 6pm. Please Pedro’s, you don’t know how rare you are. Bless us with your presence on the fin de semana. The menu’s not too extensive, but who needs variety when you have taste. Mexican food doesn’t get any better than this in Boston people, so eat your heart out.

This place is kind of hidden in a side street. Once you find it, you won’t regret it! The pictures of the menu are a little outdated since I think they raised the prices of some of the items. I got the Fish, Carne Asada, and Potato Tacos. Although I have never heard of a taco with a hash brown in it, I think it was pretty good. I would recommend eating here if you are getting the tacos, because it will probably be soggy by the time you bring it back to your work. The potato taco was still crispy, but the fish taco… not so much. The lettuce is crisp and the salsa is fresh. If only you could order a Corona with this, then I could pretend like I am back in California. Overall a pretty solid place, and it is way better than a lot of Mexican places in Boston. It is a little bit on the pricier side however. 2 tacos will run you about $ 10 and 3 tacos will be around $ 15 including tax. As a side note, they probably think I was Korean since they wrote Joon on my receipt. They were definitely speaking Spanish in the kitchen, and if I had practiced more Spanish I might have tried to see if they have any secret menu items.

Pedro’s Tacos is an establishment that is not welcoming to Non-CILANTRO lovers. I ordered their Famous Fish Tacos and Combo Burrito, which was decent, but the cilantro over-penetrated the flavors of the main ingredients. I assume their salsa verde is engrossed with Cilantro. Most Taco establishments should be made aware of the limiting constraints for their Non-CILANTRO loving customers, which is 10% of the population( ). For the minority consumer group, if we were to order a taco we could safely eat, we would simply receive bread with meat, which equates to a sandwich. I do not want a sandwich, I want a taco.

Meal ordered: Breakfast burrito with bacon plus hash browns. Pros: 1) This breakfast burrito was dense but not so much that it left me comatose after eating it. 2) The bits of bacon were thick cut, which was a pleasant surprise. 3) My friend, who worships the breakfast burritos from Pedro’s, told me to order mine with hash browns in them. Best decision ever. 3) The salsas were out in full force at 8am, and I took great joy in spooning tomatillo salsa into every bite. Cons: 1) NONE. This is breakfast burrito heaven in downtown Boston.

Someone who knows about the original Pedro’s in California told me about the Pedro’s in Boston, a short walk from Park Street Station. Told me their fish tacos are whatever she said to describe them. My first attempt to visit was too close to one of the holidays. They were closed earlier than they were supposed to be. Coincidentally they closed earlier than their posted time tonight. Granted we’ve had some weather but it shouldn’t have been a factor. I ordered a fish taco and rolled tacos. The fish taco completely transcends any vision of taco nirvana I may have been capable of imagining. Give one to Robert Nadeau or the Phantom Gourmet if you’d like a fitting description. I have one word, inspiring. Cabbage, cilantro enhanced salsa, secret sauce that resembles mayo… it’s totally overwhelming. I really wanted another one but they were well into rolling up the carpet. Mark your lunch calendar for a trip here, or plan for early arrival 5ish if you plan to dinner here, or based on my experience you could get shut out.
