There are fake designer purses sold on the streets. But this is the first time I’ve seen fake «designer» Matreshki. I dont even think that the people who sell them are Russian.
The dolls are fake and dont even look like the real thing.
The dolls are overpriced.
The service is rude.

This is the overpriced kiosk selling Matreshki (Russian Nested Dolls) in the Prudential Mall, around the area the Alpha Omega jewelry store is.
Not only is this place overpriced, the mass-​produced goods aimed at tourists are sold by some of the meanest old ladies this side of Agnes Skinner (Principal Skinner’s mother).
They yell at you for even looking too closely, and look like they’re about to go for a broom to shoo you away if you even think of picking up one of the dolls.
I don’t know if that place that sells Russian collectibles on Mount Auburn Street in Harvard Square is still around, but it runs rings around this place…
